Well... Hands of Fate vs. other card games is a weird comparison because it's a roguelike third-person action game, using a tarot sort of thing to build the dungeons. Basically. Giant Bomb's Quick Look gives a good picture of the gameplay.
But yeah, Hearthstone's matches are insufferable. Its constantly a feeling of "what gimmick deck do I get wrecked by this time in my grind for a decent counter-gimmick?" Made me realise how much I prefer Gwent's gaminess in progression, by comparison.

Wow. I utterly misjudged that game.
I saw it back when it was in Early Access or something like that, and thought it was a CCG. That thought never went away.
It's currently 20% off at Humble (€10.79), with additional 10% if you have a Monthly sub (€9.71) and additional 10% if you have a coupon from the E3 bundle (€8.73).
If you have the means, I think that comes out even less than the $10 deal.
Hand of Fate isn't at all a card game. Like, not even remotely. Yes, things are represented by cards, but the deckbuilding is more "which encounters are you going to have a chance for" and the combat is a straight (mediocre) Arkham style melee fest. It's a neat game, and the atmosphere is great, and I keep going back to it because it gives you nice bite sized play sessions, but the flow is weird and the combat is lacking. But it is definitely not a card game, for good or bad.

Magic Duels is more broken than ever. Game deserves negative reviews. But I can't stop collecting daily coins and building decks. I win every other online game so its fun for me.
I'm half way through Walking Dead. I like the characters and illusion of choice. I'm at a point now were it's obvious that you can't really change anything. It's a fun ride.

I don't know if I will make it this year. I haven't been pushing toward it but have been making decent progress just playing what I want. I'll see where I am in September and decide then.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Final Fantasy XV and Dragon Quest VII both coming in September means I basically have until September to finish the challenge. Between that and Dishonored 2, Deus Ex, Civ VI, South Park, etc the end of this year is jam-packed.

Out of curiosity I checked last year's post. At this time in 2015 I had finished 41 games. This year I have finished...16. Now, in reality it's not that terrible, because one game a week puts you at 26 at the end of June.

Does your faulty HDD make clicking noises? You might want to try connect it to an external HDD case in rare case the HDD is fine but your MOBO is acting up.
I misread that as "Alduin's Theme" and was getting hyped for some new Elder Scrolls news. :s

Hmm, I'm not entirely sure how to do that though. I haven't heard any weird noises from it, as far as I can tell. But I've run several tests, and basically all of them failed.
Western Digital's Data Lifeguard Tool quick test couldn't even be completed. I tried searching online for the error code it gave me and I mostly found out people that had their HDD in even worse conditions than mine.
HD Sentinel says the health status of the HDD is 13%, and it estimates it will lasts for about another 19 days.
Crystal Disk Info gives me similar results, and CHKDSK took a long time only to get completely stuck in the middle of it.
So I hope it's just really the HDD and not some other thing, since I can't really afford to spend any more on this.

Hm, that sounds like an HDD issue. Honestly though, I didn't intend to scare you of having a bigger issue. MOBO being the problem should be unlikely.

I have almost the identical machine as this guy, maybe I have a better cpu but his channel is so convenient because of that, better than nvidia articles which don't cover all games.
Too bad Doom has issues with framerate dropping.
So FFXV is running @ 800p on Xbox one. Not only are they releasing it on a console with barely any jrpg fans (and will sell terribly as a result) but they also are dragging performance of the game back 10 years into the past.
FFS Square. How can they not announce a pc version and release it day n date? Makes me never want to support such an incompetent and out of touch company again.

I really want to say no tbh, I loved TLJ and Dreamfall, even without having grown up with them
It's a big step down from the previous series entries (and if you've not played them don't bother with Chapters, it'll be incomprehensible) in terms of storytelling.
The drawn out episodic format really didn't do this game any favours, makes following the plot by each episode very difficult (the previous episode was 6 months prior so I struggled in places for this new one).
And lastly, the game is quite fond of making you go pixel hunting for items in quests and it gets real irritating real quick.

It's hard to get excited about FFXV. But if it was XII PC, give it to me.
I only played the first episode so far and liked it.
Decided to wait for the whole thing to be finished before continuing.

Kind of agree everything I have seen and played hasn't done much for me. The battle system is still so rough. The Xbox demo showed as much. I have a feeling the reviews are gonna sing a similar tune "a return to form held back by its battle system".
the FFX battle system makes Kingdom Hearts 2 look like The Last Remnant

I've tried both of the demos (Duscae and Platinum) and neither were worth the installation space.
A shame, imagine the other cool things we could've had if Square wasn't wasting their time on it. Definitely not feeling this stupid bro out.
