Hmmm....

I shouldn't but I might. Anyone here love it enough to recommend?

I love it, so do my friends, it's difficulty is over exaggerated, you just have to learn the mechanics and be patient and the game will be highly rewarding.

Don't get it if you don't want something that has a bit of a steep learning curve and needs you to be patient.

David Wise is the composer, and that's a huge plus for the game.

To that end, the official How to Play video is very helpful.

According to one Steam review, Tekken 7 can even run smoothly on an Intel Compute stick.

Now I'm tempted to get it to try out on the GPD WIN.

The Tekken 7 port is very impressive, the time it takes to get into a match is a bit long but aside from that it has some nice PC frills. You get your Steam avatar right in there (even visible in match), you have text chat in-game, you can do game invites directly from Steam. It's great.

I am giving away 2 Steam keys. To enter this giveaway, send a PM to ModBot with any subject line. In the body, copy and paste the entire line from the message below that corresponds to the game you want. (if you include more than one game, you will be blocked from entering). Confused? Watch this GIF tutorial or ask for help.
Want to make your own ModBot giveaway? Click here for a quick tutorial thread. Please give generously.

ModBot Basics:
- I really appreciate thank you messages, but please send them to me (bobnowhere, not ModBot!) via PM instead of in thread.
- Do not trade keys you win off-site to enrich yourself. Don't try to claim games you have no interest in collecting or playing. Don't claim games to give them to friends off-site.
- If the key is already taken you will not receive a reply. Replies may take a minute or two.

Does Tekken 7 feature completely customizable keyboard inputs or are you stuck with a predefined set of keys like SFV?

I ended up playing a bit of USF4 lately (mostly just refreshing my combo memory). I still really enjoy this game, it's just so disappointing to me that I could never enjoy SFV the same way (and I really tried). But well, last time I checked fans of SFV didn't enjoy season 2 that much either so I'm already curious how they'll adjust the game with season 3.

Anyone who has played Headlander I have a question.

I just beat the chess boss and then it teleported me to a new space station. Can I never go back to the first space station? I had so many rooms I hadnt visited!

Odd, seems Yooka Laylee was missing some files. Tried to run it and kept syncing and running. I did a validation and seems 100 MB files were missing.
It was running fine yesterday. Wonder if Steam update had anything to do with that.

See now I have no problem starting up a game in Steam without BPM and using my Dual Shock 4. But if I turn off the controller and start it up again, then I get issues.

Welp, caved and bought Quantum Break. I couldn't resist at that price, and I loved the atmosphere of Alan Wake, and what I've seen of the acting and story in Quantum Break it seems very interesting.

FWIW the total size of the videos for all the previous Tekkens is a lil under 10 gigs.

But the total video size is 23.3 gigs.

Worry not, the game supports full keyboard mapping.

Finished 'A Story about my Uncle' recently. It was quite nice, it does make more interested in Valley which also seems like a like platforming exploration type of game.

For bluetooth DS4 users, when you connect the controller it works on the first try? I have to press the PS button like 4-5 times before it connects to the bluetooth (after being paired previously)

It always works on a first try for me.

What kind of bluetooth dongle you're using? I have a Cliptec 3.0

This thread has me curious, are there any RPGs set in modern time? Its okay if they have a bit of sci fi elements like Earthbound. I am really suprised someone hasnt made another Earthbound or even Bully type game.

Persona comes to mind. Shin Megami Tensei might count though I don't have much experience with the main series. The World Ends With You would be another one. Maybe Pokemon. Probably some other stuff I don't think of at the moment.

And Rockstar should make a new Bully
or Table Tennis
before another GTA.

I really really would like an RPG set in a private school. Imagine Bully but more RPG?! Slingshot, Baseball bat, Paddle as weapons!

I've been wanting a RPG like that for very long time and I'm also suprised no one has tried it. I also would like that modern time RPG to just be about being a person in a realistic setting. So nothing fantastical or "mysterious". Kind of like GTA with heavy RPG and very down to earth.

Parasite Eve I guess? Though it's a lot of fantastical stuff to go along with the modern setting.

Steam Direct fee is $100

So in the end, we've decided we're going to aim for the lowest barrier to developers as possible, with a $100 recoupable publishing fee per game, while at the same time work on features designed to help the Store algorithm become better at helping you sift through games. We're going to look for specific places where human eyes can be injected into the Store algorithm, to ensure that it is working as intended, and to ensure it doesn't miss something interesting. We're also going to closely monitor the kinds of game submissions we're receiving, so that we're ready to implement more features like the the Trading Card changes we covered in the last blog post, which aim to reduce the financial incentives for bad actors to game the store algorithm.

We believe that if we inject human thinking into the Store algorithm, while at the same time increasing the transparency of its output, we'll have created a public process that will incrementally drive the Store to better serve everyone using it.

Good. A high price would've been a disservice to many great game developers.

Yeah, exactly.
What would we do without such classics such as Shower with your Dad Simulator and What's under your Blanket 1 & 2?

When they first introduced greenlight I had been able to keep up with it and my boss to go through every game to vote yes/no/maybe but then there was a tsunami flood of trash and it became impossible to keep up.
So I kind of doubt whatever their plans to do are going to actually be effective. But It's more of a wait and see thing I guess.

I completed The turing Test. The game wasn't bad, but not too good, it's just average in my opinion. I think puzzles are way too easy and the game repeats the same 3-4 mechanics until the end of the game, it lacks on variety. Even if it's a short title (it took me 3 hours or so to 100% it), it gets repetitive soon. In the middle of the game a new mechanic is implemented, but it's not too deep honestly and it doesn't add much to the gameplay.

Not bad if you are looking for something short, midly challenging with a decent story.

Isn't "inject human thinking into the Store algorithm" just a fancy way of saying "we're going to semi-curate the store again"?

I think it's code for we could literally hire 3-4 people to go through everything as an actual job but we hired this guy Jim and he had an idea about robots and we're going to go with that instead

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Isn't 100$ the exact same fee that Greenlight used? How is this going to dissuade all the trolls and pseudo-publishers that infested that place considering they get a direct green pass to the store once they pay that fee? They are making their life even easier.

Greenlight was a $100 one time fee per developer, this is $100 per game
