Does the paypal deal work outside Europe? I am in Canada so I pay in CAD.

Well it doesn't even work in all of Europe so I doubt it.
Also it's over for most countries. seems like those in eligible countries were able to stack deals from all countries using same currency.

About the PayPal 5€ voucher:

Do I need to buy Gaben Dollars in the Paypal Gift Shop or is it enough if I buy directly in the Steam Sale with Paypal checkout?

Probably for the best, i have steam money but would have used paypal for a purchase if I got free money.

What do you mean? It says it is available till July 5th for Germany and UK, and July 31st for Japan.

Edit: It has worked for me. I have added 20€ to my Steam wallet using the link provided by Deques, and the Paypal windows has told me I will only have to pay 15€ thanks to the voucher.

For info, the purchase ate my German voucher.

Maybe it is because I added it to my Paypal account earlier. I must have deprived a UK resident and a Japanese resident of 2 vouchers. Ahah. 😈

That Paypal deal is great added 75 euro for 60 :D wonder if they will add more countries

More like 60 € in Steam Wallet by paying 45 €.

Where can I even see it? It shows to me that I got it after trying it (but I didnt) and it doesnt show up anywhere.

So I have tried again and could not use the UK and JP vouchers to add another 20€ to my Steam wallet. For UK, I could understand because £20 is more than 20€. For JP, I don't get the discount although 1000 JPY is only about 8 €. So the voucher must be bound to the currency.

I think this PayPal thing needs a separate thread. It's super unclear and wonky at the moment.

I just bought €20 and didn't get any discount when I payed with PayPal, with the offer saved on my account. Is it possible to refund?

I need to take care of two more targets on my list, but I am doing an escort mission, and I find it very strange how I all of a sudden can't use my parry skill to take out templars. What's up with that?

I've read you can't use vouchers that doesn't match your paypal country currency. So that would explain why you couldn't use UK and JP.

Whoa

Sounds like we got ourselves a meta game boys..with some fucking stickers.

Nice to see Valve doing something new.

To be fair, I would really like something like a sticker book where you can collect stuff for games you've played, like that those collectibles for Steam VR.

Steam Summer Sale 2017 [OT] - Too hot for Steam (Error Code: -118)

Can't I parry templars on the streets in Assassin's Creed 1?
You can and you should. The timing is a bit different though, and you can't block every heavy attack. Try to learn how to dodge properly. You'll need it during the last mission.
All those swordfights they force upon the player won't get fun because of it but you'll plough through them faster.

IIRC, Black Flag was the first game to have an actual parry system. All earlier games just support blocking and counter-attacks.

Yeah, I meant the counter attacks. It won't allow me to use it against these random templar guards.

Oh shit, maybe these templars are all doing heavy attacks on me, so I need to dodge them instead of counter attacking.

You should learn how to dodge properly but heavy attacks can be countered. But like I said, the timing is a bit different.

I liked the simple combat-system right until they tried to make it challenging. All kinda fell apart then.
