Just finished Limbo and really liked it. I felt like it succeeded perfectly on what it was trying to do. Some time ago I also tried playing Braid, but didn't like it at all, does that make sense? Should I give Braid another go? I have only played like 15 minutes of it.

The games are quite dissimilar. If you liked Limbo, there's a great chance you'll like Playdead's follow-up Inside, which is a fantastic little dark adventure.

Braid seems like a good game and I loved The Witness, but I bounced off it when it first came out. Do plan to give it another shot one day.

Did the latest Humble go down like a lead balloon or something? $1 for Valhalla Hills seems good though there are a hell of a lot of repeats so not sure if I'll push it to Turmoil, on my wishlist, let alone Verdun.

There are no plans to reboot Dino Crisis, but Masachika Kawata still has hope in his heart that the series will continue someday.

There's still hope, Jaw.

If I was in charge of Capcom after huge success of Jurassic World I would of put a new Dino Crisis in development, with the goal of releasing it around the time Jurassic World 2 releases in theaters.

Most big movies don't get console tie in games anymore just mobile so you make this an unofficial tie in. Make the settings somewhat similar to Jurassic Park. Include a multiplayer survival mode since Ark is so popular.

It's so obvious it's sad Capcom isn't doing it.

There's a lot of obvious things capcom should be doing, but sadly seems like it doesn't work out for one resason or another.

I'm getting more worried each day about the NieR Automata region lock on Steam. I swear I was able to access the game's page on the Humble Store yesterday, but now I can't. It is region locked also on Green Man Gaming. The only place I could get it at the moment is on Amazon. And I can't find any official word from Square Enix about this region lock thing. I'm in SEA by the way. (Philippines)

If this will be another region locking case similar to Revengeance, then my only option will be to get a PS4.

Nier is on sale on gamesplanet sites and it doesn't appear to be locked to any particular region. No red warning normally means it's a WW cd key.

It's not a port but a remake being developed by a two-person studio. You can switch to the Master System version with the press of a button and mix/match the audio and visuals, but again it's not a port and DotEmu is only publishing.

Has anyone played Layers of Fear?

Is it super scary?

I didn't find it all that scary. The atmosphere is very dark and tense and it has some jumpscares but you don't need to worry too much.

I also liked it a lot, and this just reminded me that I bought the DLC and still haven't played it. Maybe I have to make room for it soon.

For the longest time I've been trying to get into CK2 or any other Paradox grand-strategy games but always bounce off due to how obtuse some of the concepts are and how steep the learning curve is. Is there any video guides or youtube channels that can help me learn the basics?

I was seriously lucky, because the first Nier giveaway went up while I was already lying in bed and decided to check the thread one last time before calling it a day.
...Afterwards I didn't sleep for another hour though, haha.

Yeah that's true. They still haven't even released the Phoenix Wright games on Steam which seems like a huge no brainer.

no, it's not locked at 60 fps, but as you will struggle to get 60 fps, no matter how good your PC is, that's really irrelevant.

edited: I might be exaggerating a little here, it probably runs just fine on high end GPUs.

I was in a similar position and I started watching this guy's videos and he does a pretty good job of explaining the basics imo

Well, looks like I missed a bit of fun last night.

As much as I'd like to get into Hotline Miami at a certain point during each session it makes me feel sick. Initially thought it was playing it fullscreen on a 27" display so I made it 1080p instead yet the feeling persisted.

Wish there were options to disable the additional affects like the map rotation, scanline-y flickering and other such things (the available options are non-existent, no way to remap keys or anything graphics related). Can't tell exactly what is causing it.
