gave away the keys to the kingdom.
So is already available for pre-order on Steam too?
EDIT: No, it's not on Steam yet. Jase, did you pre-order from the dev's site?

Yeah, there was an early bird discount of 33% that was reduced to 10% at some point in the past four months (I'm glad I didn't wait around for it appear on Steam itself).

do you happen to remember in which bundles Nekro was? According to itad, only in be mine 13, but that's not the case. It was in one another bundle and I can't remember for the life of me in which one.

The IGBW and even the game's own Steam Community hub point to Be Mine 13 being the one and only bundle thus far.

I mean.....they're french. That's their shtick.
They troll me every year during E3, making me think they are about to reannounce BG&E 2 for a split second so they are at least good at it.

Yo, kartoffeln, are you interested in a Theaterproduktionsgemeinschaft about Monkey Island?

IDK, I must slip between alternative universes a lot, because I have in written form by my hand that it was in two bundles, the problem is... I haven't written in which ones.

W.w.w...what?

I thought it was already being worked on? Like the guy who created the first part had a title screen of it and hinted he was working on it and everything?

If this keeps up, Ubisoft are going to take the mantle from EA for dumbest publisher ever. I cannot honestly believe that no one has come to them and told them to stop saying and doing stupid stuff in full view of the press.

I have to agree with Copons here. If we split SteamGAF into a "News, Sale and Discussion" thread and a "Steam Community" thread. One of the two is going to be a wasteland in a few months. The News and Sale thread wont have that many posts save for big sales like Summer or Winter. Ever since July, we have done a pretty good job at keeping the off-topic stuff from derailing for pages under control.

We made great progress in keeping ourselves in check, I know people have a problem not being able to keep up with "hey there was a sale/price glitch? What was it? There was a review I missed?"

But if we split it into two or more thread, we're essentially dividing the community. Because I know people will prefer to visit one place over the other. I'll probably be spending most of my time in the Community thread since I can be off topic on here AND talk about games.

While in the other thread. I'll just pop my head in a couple times a day to check for sales and price glitches.

I would honestly prefer if we keep SteamGAF the way it is. But I do wanna suggest.

Maybe we could set up an official SteamGAF group on Steam itself! Then we can have a sticky thread about prices glitches and sales. So people can alway check there without having to go through posts that they feel are unnecessary. We can also have a Review thread where we can post reviews without them being lost.

That way SteamGAF will still stay together and we can still get our sales and reviews on Steam itself. Like let say Turf have breaking news price glitch. He can post on that Steam thread, and just link it on here "hey guys, price glitch on Alien Isolation. Click here."

So that way no one should ever ask did I miss any sales? Cause they can always find out for themselves by going onto that thread.

SteamGAF on Steam

It doesn't spam announcements as it was agreed by most that the current setup for Steam's announcements is pretty annoying (since you can't choose to NOT have them). The chat usually has ~10 people most of the time, they might not always be talking but there's often someone at least idling in there.

I personally find it interesting seeing those who don't want to split and those who do want to split (off-topic v on-topic).

Somebody really needs to tell that artist that drawing a pair of breasts on a man's body doesn't make a character female. (Unless these characters are supposed to be some kind of hermaphroditic aliens, in which case, mission accomplished.)

these are breasty man, I was about to post a pic, then thought better of it, even in community it can get me banned (><)

Yeah, splitting the GAF Steam thread in two is going to kill both topics. I'm not going to go out of my way to run back and forth to two topics (one of which is only relevant during sales/deal periods) if I can help it.

I spend most of my day playing CSGO or watching Netflix. You can't expect my brain to remember stuff like that.

That's not SteamGAF... That NeoGAF. I'm talking about making an actual SteamGAF group on Steam. And I don't mean spamming announcements, I mean creating an actual thread for Sales and Price Glitches on there that will be stick to the top so everyone can see it.

I think you misunderstood me.

... but gaf on steam is steamgaf...

I enjoy RPG Maker games for some reason.

They can be enjoyable, of course, like any other games, it's just RPG maker seems not to be suited for making Rune Factory type of games, but I keep open mind, because I very much want RF type games on steam. So far we haven't any, except two that still aren't released, even if greenlit long time ago.

Do it, sounds like a good idea - though it'll have to remain active if it's to be different from the other NeoGAF groups.

The issue is, it's just so much easier to visit a website forum on your pc/mobile than the steam group forum layout. Chances are, it'll be active for the first few months, and then you'll just get bored of writing updates all the time with very few people actually commenting back, you'll lose interest and just stop.

This is quite a good idea, I seem to remember something similar set up before. Only thing is users would be posting the news/sale info twice, once in the main Steam thread and also on the Steam group, as some may only be checking GAF for their news.

Yeah, pretty sure that'll happen.
People would post "News, Sales etc." in the other thread anyway and vice versa.
Splitting threads won't achieve anything other then splitting users as well.

So what we need now is:

- this topic
- a general Steam news topic on Gaming side
- the NeoGAF Steam group for gaffers on Steam
- a SteamGAF group for gaffers talking about Steam
- OT topic for news about Steam not related to games directly (such as: guy says he will kill Gabe, Steam pulls game)
- OT community thread to talk about those news.

I'm not sure what kind of smartphone most people are using but when I click on NeoGAF steam group. It loaded pretty quickly. Actually even quicker since it didn't have to load pictures and gif. Honestly people wouldn't even need to respond, since in that particular group. The Sales and Price Glitches thread will just be "Game A is on sale at Site B for $10" thats it. No fuss. And if someone have a question on how say that particular sale works. They can always ask on here, or on that thread.

Most of us logged into Steam most of the time anyway. I know my PC is logged into Steam about 13 hours a day and most of the time I'm just there not doing anything. So it's not like we don't check Steam. And as I also said. If you post a deal in that group. Just link it in this thread for people to see. It would take less than 5 seconds.

This is quite a good idea, I seem to remember something similar set up before. Only thing is users would be posting the news/sale info twice, once in the main Steam thread and also on the Steam group, as some may only be checking GAF for their news.
My explaination is above. It shouldn't be hard at all to just cross post any deals you come across.

whichever side is captain america that's the one I choose..

But we don't have 7,000 SteamGAF members.. I'm talking about making a group called "SteamGAF" membership is invite only and we probably won't have more than 200-300 people.

Creating a SteamGAF group would probably be the last step to kill SteamGAF totally. What I mean is that a group wouldn't solve the community problem.
If it were an invite only group, where do we invite new members? From NeoGAF? But how do we know if they want to be invited? Do we create a new thread where members post that they want to be invited? Doesn't sound a good idea.

200-300 is a nice number of members, but like any community members will always come and leave, and with an invite only group, it will mostly be leaving members. They might return, but they not all of them will return.

I am mostly in the Steam-thread and I know most of the regulars. A group with several threads where not all of the members will hang out in all of them will just make me know lesser regulars and I probably will leave the group sooner or later.

But I am positive on creating a SteamGAF group, but it has to work. So far I haven't seen any group with a lot of active members in Steam community.

We germans literally celebrated yesterday 25 years of fall of the wall. We were divided for decades leading to the suffering of many and a wall in the minds still decades after. I say: no more. Don't part what is one.

Mr Stumpokapow, open this gate.
Mr Stumpokapow, tear down this wall.

I don't see how that is different from a group we already have on steam, we still obviously prefer boards, as many of us can't access steam at work, and when we are on steam, we play games not talk?

edited:
as I stated many times before, I think we need two threads: steam community in community, for food, wifu, tea, coffee, movie, animu and drama (><)
and general steam thread: news, releases, sales, price mistakes, bundles. Even better would be general PC gaming thread, but that's a bit too much for one thread to cover.

If we have new members that wanna join all they have to do is just post in this thread

"Hey can someone invite me to SteamGAF group on Steam? Thanks" I mean it happened before back in July. I remember getting invited by someone without even asking for it when I first joined this thread.

Also once you're a member, even if you don't post as much or have to leave for a few days or months. Or just kinda drop off like xelios. It not like your membership will be revoked or something. Sure you can leave the group on steam and rejoin when you get back. Honestly that 200-300 numbers will only continue to grow not decline.

Because that group is composed of EVERYONE ON NeoGAF from people in the CrossdressGAF to people in NarutoGAF. The group I'm proposing are for people who are a part of SteamGAF.

I mean it would be weird to have a sticky "Sales and Price Glitches" on NeoGAF group on Steam. Making a more specific group for SteamGAF would be better.

Also can you access Steam from your browser at work? If not then your phone should work provide you don't use work internet. Also it not like work will stop you from missing out on price glitches or sales because whoever is posting a new hot deal will/should also cross post it in this thread. The SteamGAF group thread are for people like Toddhunter who doesn't like going through 7-30 pages just to find a good deal.
Also I have like almost 200 friend on Steam and when people are only. Only a third of people actually play games. Most are either just "Online" or "Away"
