The funny thing is I expected The Crew to be the biggest mess at launch due to the online nature of it and shackled to Uplay servers probably still using 9/14k Fax Modems.

I admire the trust you're putting in Uplay IT department.
I'd guess they use 2800 baud modems connected to Commodore 64 servers.

I can't imagine that demand for The Crew is particularly strong. I think Ubi's servers will hold up.
Hopefully it'll form some kind of Ubi-muda Triangle and make them disappear. Will Unity, FC4 and The Crew complete some kind of miserable hat-trick for Ubisoft this holiday?
Taking all bets.
It's Ubisoft. They will find a way.
I don't even have time to play half the things I want to, let alone spending it on categorizing my library and wishlist like that.

Far Cry 4 is the last game I pre-ordered, ever. Only reason I pre-ordered it is ebcause I loved FC3 and I can't stand FPS games on consoles, exception if they are console axcluvie like Killzone and Halo.
Fuck pre-ordering.

So basically, first days of December.
Since when do you preorder anything? I thought you were drowning in review keys.
Here, I googled for last years sale: http://store.steampowered.com/news/11967/
Bioshock Infinite 75% off
Call of Duty: Ghosts 17% off
State of Decay 50% off
Contagion 75% off
Dishonored 75% off
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive 75% off
Euro Truck Simulator 2 75% off
Surgeon Simulator 75% off
Saints Row IV 60% off
This is just hilarious
Been playing through this. I like the pre-release stuff they've been doing for The Talos Principle. You get some in game bonuses that can transfer to any version of the game (even PS4) via codes. Better than tying it to a pre-order.Sigils of Elohim update with more puzzles: http://steamcommunity.com/games/321480/announcements/detail/207491256446043365
This is just hilarious
The South Park game is 29SEK (~$3,91) from Swedish retailer Elgiganten. Physical copy that activates on Steam.
Probably already posted, but Dragon Age is up for preload now.
I'd bump the Origin thread, but I can't find it...sooo
So basically you don't ask UBI review copies because they distribute them, you know, with, Uplay
This is just hilarious
Until you realise that the game released just three weeks earlier.
At that point it had only been out for a little over a month. That's not a terrible discount that early on
The real joke is going to be that the same game is only going to be 20% off this year.
Last time I received a PC review copy from Ubisoft was for Blacklist and it did not work due to some Uplay bs errors.
I received a PS4 AC:U copy though, but I did not ask for any review copy for FC4 simply because I do not play FPS games on consoles except for console FPS exclusives and that if I ask for a PC version of FC4 it will be a UPlay code and the same problem which happened with Blacklist will happen with FC4.
TL;DR: Uplay errors with PC review copies.
Ghosts? it was already 50% off this year

Life is Strange is an episodic, modern adventure game with a twist.
I still think 17% is funny because it's a funny number.
Basically another Telltale wannabe game.
It seems a bit odd when you look at just the percentage, but 17% off a $60 game is basically a $10 discount, so it makes sense in that regard.
Far Cry 3 was PC lead and developed in house.
Far Cry 4 for PC is ported by Ubisoft Kiev who are responsible for the PC versions of Assassins Creed III, Tom Clancys Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag and Tom Clancys Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.
And they also did Ass Unity.
So yeah... Far Cry 4 is a write-off.
i mean considering how many non-telltale episodic adventure games are out by now i'd say this is just no longer fair
unless you mean not having any actual adventure gameplay and most of the choices you make in the game being meaningless despite the game actually lying to you straight about it :>
6 minutes of else Heart.Break() gameplay, release somewhere next year.
Some more stuff about the Hyper Light Drifter combat.
Some more stuff about the Hyper Light Drifter combat.
I haven't played any of those games, but the general buzz always seems negative.
Doesn't bode well for release, but rule of thumb should be never to pre-order Ubisoft games anyways.

uhh i dunno any about thisYou're forgetting the part where they license an existing franchise to manipulate the nostalgia center of your brain.
