Am I missing something? People are saying AC Syndicate is 50% off. I see it at 36% at GMG but it's Uplay... do I really care about saving like 15 bucks to not have it on steam? Help!!!

Seems to vary by region. It's 50% off in Europe. 29.99€ instead of 59.99€. I actually didn't think it was 50% off, I was saying GMG is buying Syndicate from some source for around 50% off and then adds to that price to make a little profit, but it really is up to 50% off at GMG right now.

If they were getting keys directly from Ubisoft, they would be losing 12 euros per game sold assuming regular 30% cut for the publisher. It wouldn't make any sense for GMG to make that kind of loss now. It was different back when they were trying to establish their store, but that was years ago.

Thanks for clarifying. I figured I'd just get it, since I've heard nothing but good things for it, and so even at 36% off and only Uplay, it's still fine. That and Fallout 4 and I'm done buying games for the day, luckily I've been hitting my backlog pretty hard, so these purchases feel justified.

Few Batman Arkham Knight shoots. One thing this game does amazingly are environments and atmosphere

Agreed. Such a shame it runs like ass on whatever rig. It was my most anticipated 2015 game, now it's my #1 biggest disappointment of the year. Not just because of the shit performance, but also overall stuff like an underwhelming main story, uninteresting side quests and some other smaller issues.

Repeating my question: I am going to tackle Fallout: New Vegas tomorrow. Are there any mandatory mods I should have prepared or should I begin vanilla first?

Found this on Reddit.

Basically another confirmation for what we've suspected. Ubisoft catalog was pulled from GMG few months ago. This guy then contacted Ubisoft who told him that GMG isn't an approved store (anymore). Now GMG suddenly has all these new Ubisoft (and other publisher) games available at very low prices but they don't necessarily offer pre-order bonuses or in the case of Anno 2205 or Black Ops 3, even get the keys on time. Obviously no pre-load for BO3 because they simply won't get the keys on time: https://twitter.com/GreenManGaming/status/661588040024854529

Uninstall, ask for refund and if you dont get refund get your steam account banned and start over.

Why is everybody brandishing a Scorcese Romulan avatar now, did I miss something? And boy, this new thread sure moves fast.

GMG is fucking horseshit. Preordered COD 3 for 45$ weeks ago and its fucking 39.99 now god such crap.

Click on the support link at the bottom of the page. I ended up refunding it last night because of the lack of Nuketown, but I wouldn't be surprised if they could just send you the difference.

Cancelled my Pre-Order for F4, I'm installing NV right now. I never finished that game cause I lost my savegame. This seems like a win-win situation. I'm not some chump who preorders a game I'm highly critical off and I get to finish New Vegas and it's DLCs.

Are there any stores that legally sell Steamkeys for Ubi games? Probably not. Kinda wanna try the new Anno but I'm not gonna pay 60€ for it.

Nevada Skies
Interior Lighting Overhaul
Project Nevada
ELECTRO-CITY
Populated Casino

Oh yeah and the 4GB RAM mod is compulsory if you want to do anything with mods.

Yeah, I thought so. Eh, the next sale comes soon enough. Looking at my installed games makes me shiver anyway.
Divinity: OS EE, Wasteland 2 DC, New Vegas, Pillars....I could sink 100 hours in all of those games right now....I don't even need new games anymore. And I haven't even tried the Pillars DLC I got for backing it.

Here's a good list of mods I used to build my latest modded NV run:

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1PXoYBg2bdanMbqN1VsCTcFnqAUl4pww307VgVugGi7c/edit?pli=1

It has short descriptions of every mod it lists so you get a feel for if you want it or not.
Thank you very much :)

I don't know if that's sarcasm or not. Given that your Ozium something terrible will probably happen if I fo that.

You can also find some nice Star Wars references.

Wild Wasteland just puts in some goofy easter eggs here and there. For the most part completely harmless.

feels good going back to being me

This might not really help, but IE Mod can let you toggle objects, which includes enemies. You'd have to do this for every map with spiders, and figure out which objects are the spiders though, so it'd probably be a hassle.
yeah, probably too much

if there was a way to automate that, then that'd be kind of nice

but modding out spiders myself is kind of problematic cos i don't really want to test it out

It's been how many years with GMG, has anyone here truly been screwed over by GMG?
Don't recall that ever being the case. Worse comes to worst you just dispute via paypal and never shop there again if something did happen.

Getting harder and harder to resist buying Black Ops 3 after hearing more about it, sounds genuinely impressive for a CoD game >_<

Thing is I don't spent a ton of time in MP anyway and I know by xmas, my father will get it as he loves CoD.

Urgh, I need to stop wanting to buy things I don't need! XD

All this GMG talk reminds me that I still have oodles of Playfire credit to make use of somehow - it had never crossed my mind that they would 'expire' it, so I'm kicking myself a bit now for not using it with some previous VIP deals or whatever.

Anyway, friendly reminder to anyone sitting on GMG credit that you only have three weeks to use it (or lose it).

only reason im not sweating it too muchg is i got in on the F4 30$ price deal so im still saving a bunch between the two. Ill let them have the 5$ but honestly their preorder system sucks. Not cool to fluctuate price like that on preorders. Either make the cheapest price the earliest price or dont charge the card until release like Amazon does so you get the lowest price deal.

I actually gave in and put $12 down. Too many people said that they were going to open with guns blazing to get people to subscribe. So I'll just do a one and done type of thing.

I did too. Gifted the copy of LoG2 to someone who deserved it and figured if the bundle is week, I'll just opt out sooner rather than later. But they should be bringing their A game, even if I own it all, for the initial bundle and worst case, I'll have a bunch of keys to give to people who aren't on Santa Yaiba's naughty list.

Edna is pretty great. She also reminds me of one of the SteamGAF regulars.

If saying "gross." is all it takes...

why is chariot so mean

He isn't. He's a rather nice guy.
And he fills my activity feed with NepNep, which is much appreciated because it's a counterbalance to the Trails screens I've been bombarded with since SC came out.

The same could be said of any retailer, really.
The most trouble I had with GMG was with them promising keys would be delivered for USF4 prior to launch and then being the only retailer who didn't hand out keys when the game unlocked after Capcom moved it up.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Get ready for some price mistakes guys!!!
