Blimey Endless Legend only just came out. Plus £9.99 for the 60 hours I got out of Black Flag is a steal (though I might be a liiiiittle bit biased

Steam sales have been shit for a couple of summers now. The last time I remember actually buying games was ~2 years ago.
IGN keys out there for this game meant the game was going for like 2-3k.

You're probably using an address based in a state wherein Amazon is now collecting sales tax. Just use the address of Google's CA-based HQ: there is sales tax in the state but it doesn't apply to digital goods.

I bought Oranges on release at full price, only actually played it maybe a year after release.
Endless Legend is pretty darn good, with one huge caveat: the AI is reeeeally bad at playing the game. Devs seem to be working hard on the game still though, was a patch a day or two ago that had so many tweaks and fixes the patch notes didn't fit in the Steam news entry (http://forums.amplitude-studios.com...-Release-Notes&p=220854&viewfull=1#post220854).
I've been playing it more than Civ:BE since that launched, but both got some ways to go before feeling complete.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna bite. Some of the youtubers/streamers I watch for Civ5, Civ BE, CK2, and EUIV have done some LPs of Democracy 5, so it looks to be somewhat up my alley. I figure I'll get the base game now and if I really enjoy it, I'll pick up DLC for it during the Winter Sale next month.

Amazon has charged tax here in NY for a few years now. Thankfully, Steam hasn't jumped on that bandwagon.
That's what I really want, but a DS4 is good enough for the time being(all these console ports).
It's cheaper on Nuuvem. Season Pass and DLC for 7.99 reais each, which translates to 3.11 USD each.
I like the premise of democracy but all the stats and menus look really complicated.. might watch an LP of it like you did to see how it works

Your fake US address is probably in a state that Amazon is required to collect sales tax in now.

They won't -- Valve only has an HQ in Washington State -- a lot of that "required" tax collection is based on whether or not a business has a physical presence in a state; I think Amazon has offices in NYC.
And why would you want a Steam controller? I don't understand the appeal.
Yes, it's Brazilian Real. To the best of my knowledge, nothing on Nuuvem is region-locked at the runtime level and only a small percentage of the catalogue is region-locked at the activation level.
