Let's pretend (for the sake of simplicity) that every monthly bundle includes 6 games. That's $2/game. In a year you'll receive 72 games for $144. For those of us that are used to getting games for pennies each splitting IndieGala happy hours and pre-ordering Groupees bundles for $1 that have 8 games, this is not a good value proposition.
For the average "console gamer" / "casual game consumer" that typically buys 3 games or less for $144, the proposition seems much more alluring. Long story short, something like this isn't really targeted towards us.
the problem is that you don't know which games are those
what if they do like a racing bundle, or a fighting game bundle
i don't want those bundles, but i can't know what i'm getting until i pay, right?
not to mention repeats, what if they decide to give out something i already have, or what if i buy something today and whoops it was in this month's bundle, it was a secret!
i find that really sucky, i'm never a fan of these types of propositions
Only the truest of connoisseurs. I need my porn 1080p to truly have the definitive experience. I want to make sure those are in fact surgical scars rather than compression artifacts
Soma's pretty damn cool, are their other games like that too or is this their best effort? I think I remember trying to play Amnesia and getting lost half an hour in and just giving up
I'm going to say that there's going to be 18 characters. 2 of which will be unplayable bosses. As for the time remaining, Properly balancing a fighting game is the most time consuming aspect of it. They'll also probably go over character models, add more stages and brush things up graphically. They will also probably work on the UI for the entire game since what they are using now is all just place holders. They need to work on the fighter's network and make sure that gets implemented properly since that's one of the biggest things Capcom is pitching about this game.
They also have to implement EVERYTHING for story mode in terms of dialogue, animations for cutscenes and all that other jazz. It's probably going to take a while since that's another focus point for them in this game. They can promote the game by showing off character interactions during story mode.
There is a HUGE amount of stuff left in this game.
Also there's some speculation at Dimps re-introducing one of their main characters from another game into Street Fighter, but I highly doubt Dimps would try to do that. He does have a badass moveset though.
If anything, they implemented some of the design into Ken. Also, I think this guy is too much of a rush down character for this game. Would be cool though if Sega allowed them to take back their character properties. I mean, the game was developed by OG Street Fighter II devs anyway.
According to the FAQ if you don't subscribe you don't get it at all. Just the top tier game as an instant bonus game if you subscribe for the next month.
About dlc, and I'm talking about dlc give you more resources like gold and souls (DMC4 SE)
are people really buy this dlc ?
Can steam spy know how much been sold?
then why not devise a defensive plan to attack that instead of crying that you can't fight it and please implement rules to make things fairer for us who can't compete otherwise? Again, seems it's penalizing the better team for being better.
in baseball, there's always a complaint that the teams that spend most will be more likely to win the world series. However, that's not been the case. Plenty of supposedly crappier teams make it to the world series and often win it. I dont buy it
The defensive plan would probably be to have almost everyone guarding the goal line and hopefully get them on the counter....except there would still be acres of space and pacey forwards who can thwart any hopeless build up play. That would be exhausting to watch.
if its anything like what happens in the Games with Gold and PS+ threads, everyone is going to whine that they aren't getting their money's worth when the games are announced.
i can't imagine a world where this ends up being successful
Did someone say more football talk? ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm stuck with PS+ already for the time being, a service that is getting worse and worse every month and now feels like a recycling machine for old PC indies so buying into that new one would make matters even worse. Sorry HB, maybe in 2017.

man if it wasn't for sony being a little fucking bitch and locking online play behind ps+ i wouldn't even think of renewing my subscription. this whole year they probably got like 2 games that i was interested in. (super time force ultra and rocket league), was Virtue's Last Reward this year? if it was that game too. Fuck ps+, its trashy now. I hope Micro removes online play from their payed wall so maybe possibly perhaps sony does as well.
If HB higher tiers taught us anything, it was not to trust them with any money above $6, there were maybe 3 or 4 higher tiers that even made sense, most didn't. So ya, you know what to do when they ask for $12
It's much shorter. I finished it in an hour and a half, and I doubt it there is more than one ending. I don't think there is much replayability here unlike Stanley.
I do recommend playing it, price could be high for some folks given the length and lack of replayability, but if you don't mind "walking simulators" then yeah play it.
If Stanley Parable was a commentary on game storytelling and choice/free will, this is a story on *SPOILERS ON THEMES THE GAME TACKLES*
mental health and game development
I think Stanley is better, but I imagine this will be in my top 5 of the year.
Sword of Islam - Muslims Legacy of Rome - Byzantine Rajas of India - India and Hindu Sunset Invasion - Incas invade from the west like the Mongols invade from the east The Republic - Merchant Republics (Italy) The Old Gods - Earlier Startdate, Vikings, Germanigs, Pagans Sons of Abraham - Lots of bugs Charlemagne - Custom kingdoms and empires, holy roman empire, even earlier start date Way of Life - Character focused Horse Lords - Horsies
All other DLC is just fluff like unit skins or music.

i get PS+ for $30 a year so that's, what, $2.50 a month? The biggest pain in the ass about it is that half the time, the good games they add i already had on PC like Broken Age and SMB for october for example. But then once every couple of months they throw a Rocket League or Oddworld in there, games i dont have, and i feel like it's a great program.
So it's really on me for buying things.
it should be good in november and december, though, because that's when most subscriptions tend to run out. so cross your prinny wings
eh, i honestly only catch it during events like the world cup or copa america. I dont have it in me to follow it more than that. But thanks for the recommendation!
Damn bros, i got so much pain in my left jaw joint, had it all week and now its spread to my ear doctor time tmrw. Disappointed they wouldnt let me make an appointment, walk ins only, they never do shit during walk ins. at most theyll give you some pain killers
12 per month is just too much. Its a good idea but at that cost they would have to guarantee new releases otherwise I don't see many people subbing. That is probably asking for too much tho.
Something like 5-7 a month would be perfect. I kinda wanna see how successful it will be I wonder if we will be able to use steamspy to crosscheck how many people subbed. The Grimrock incentive is nice of them to do. I wonder if they are gonna do similar thing for next month.

Also, due to... unforseen cicumstances, VO is becoming a bitch and a half to get into our game. Right now, 75% of the game has VO in it, but not for every character. It's literally the only thing holding us back from launching on Steam (that and if Lord Gaben suddenly ungreenlights us).
This of course is not the ideal situation, but what does the GAF Hivemind think of, say, a game releasing with only half the VO, but with a patch (free, of course) containing the other VO later on?
