No, I just remembered someone in here definitely spoiled some later plot developments for MGSV for me as well. Add it to AK and TW3.

Yikes! @ the bold

I've been pretty free from Witcher spoilers... though I've seen some discussion that could lead me to reasonably infer what might happen. I'm willfully avoiding that line of thought.

But then again, at the rate I'm going through that game, I may as well just read the synopsis. Or better yet, just click on people's habitual random umarked one-line spoiler tags.

I must be some spoiler avoiding ninja because I still have literally no idea what LiS is about other than some creep named Warren. Maybe that's it though who knows.

WHat do you mean? It already has spoiler tag.

This is how you do spoilers:

MGS V Chapter 2 Spoiler:
Whooooooooooooooooooooooo

This is NOT how you do spoilers

NO FANTOMENA, NO

Simply putting something in spoiler tags helps no one, because no one knows what's being spoiled.

Yeah, that's the one I'm most pissed off about, after spending 120 hours going through TW and TW2 as well as finally getting a graphics card to play the game at the settings I want for the experience...

AK I had someone, somewhere, drop the knowledge of who the titular character was, though I don't know specifics and it's kind of predictable at the end of the day. Though there's some possible spoilers in that earlier post from mmbosstones, technically. Especially if people who have played the games have the end of Arkham City in mind going into Arkham Knight.

MGSV, someone linked a mod for the game and I went "oooh, I wonder if that's something I should bookmark so I can go get it when I dive into that game?". When I hit the nexusmod page that was linked, it showed other mods, which revealed the story spoilers.

Damn.

Hey Obduction Backers,

Well this letter was finally supposed to be some very exciting news, but that’s not how it turned out. We feel like we’ve been sucker punched. Let me explain exactly what happened and why we’ve been quiet for the last few months.

First, Obduction is amazing. We couldn’t be happier with how it’s progressing.

About six months ago we realized that Obduction had evolved with enough content to be a bit larger than the Kickstarter-sized experience we had planned. With that in mind we decided to see if we could raise some small additional funding to move Obduction to that larger vision - instead of moving the scope back down.

We had serious interest from several sources including a small publisher. After several meetings and reviews the small publisher said yes, and we proceeded to negotiate a formal contract that was ready to sign two months ago. They assured us that this was a done deal, and so, with their very specific recommendation we moved forward with the larger Obduction production — leaving the option to reduce behind us.

So, two months ago we were on the cusp of signing the contract and making the exciting announcement to our backers and the public. We waited a few days… then a few days more. A week passed, then another. The signing of the contract was lagging. It was a red flag, but there was always a reason — vacation, holidays, travel, out of the office. They assured us that things were fine - it was just a matter of timing for the executives.

You see where this is going.

Long story short, we were expecting yesterday we would finally sign and move forward, but instead we found out that, in spite of all the good faith negotiating, early assurances (that we based some rather important production decisions on), and even gestures on our part to sweeten the terms of the contract (if that was the problem) — the publisher did a 180 and reneged for what were apparently financial reasons.

Now this leaves us in an extremely tenuous position. Because this publisher tied things up for so many months, we have very little time to try to round up additional funding.

So, here is what we’re doing…

Obduction production continues at full speed while we reassess. We will determine the adjustments required to move Obduction back to the original plan — reducing the scope in an intelligent way, so we can complete it, polish it, and test it.

In the meantime we’re also looking for any partners who would like to be part of making the bolder Obduction for a sweetheart of a deal. We’ve got plenty of the game complete to prove what Obduction is, the investment amount is relatively small at this point, and (because of our situation) the terms (and royalties) are generous. Maybe we’ll still get a chance to build a larger Obduction experience.

Here’s what that means for you…

We’ve used a few months of our schedule for work on the larger vision, so we’re a few months behind. We’ll be reworking our production schedule based on what we figure out in the next week. Obduction is definitely still coming, and it will amaze you, but it will be delayed by a few months.

It’s always awkward to have to hang out your dirty laundry. Last week we were so excited that we would finally be able to tell you about a publishing deal that would enable a larger Obduction experience, and this week we’re scrambling to adjust. But our team is small, nimble, and amazingly talented.

It’s ironic and sad that every time that Cyan has been pushed to the brink, it has been related to some unexpected move by a publisher. I suppose we were hoping for something better this time — shame on us.

Thank you again for your support and understanding. Now that we don’t have to keep mum, we look forward to once again keeping you informed of everything that’s happening.

Regarding Obduction.

Congrats.

100CAD are 68€. Damn, that is an incredible deal. Where did you get that? I would totally take a bit debt if I ever found a Vita for 68€ here from a trustworthy seller and jump in on that deal with little thought. Don't care much about original/slim either. I should look into GermanGAF for an inquiry.

Alem Arayeb? What does it mean?

Going along with Ubisoft information, seems they are in the midst of a hostile takeover.

Earlier this month, entertainment giant Vivendi purchased a 6.6 percent stake in Ubisoft. Now, the French publisher behind mammoth franchises like Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, has vowed that it will "fight to preserve our independence" in the wake of this new and unwanted investment.

Yeah, I got a TW3 spoiler from another Fantomena Unmarked Spoiler™.
Luckily my ending turned out different from that one, but still it may have set the mood of I approached the latter part of my playthrough.

At this point I don't even know why I click on those black bars, but they are so attractive I just cannot help myself.

Umh, I noticed a weird thing: Boot Hill Heroes is not listed as owned for me on Steam, despite I have it from a bundle and it's actually listed in my library. Someone can verify this?
EDIT: It applies to ALL Steam games for me :S
EDIT 2: Fixed now.

Anyone here got any impressions of Rebel Galaxy yet?

I dropped a few hours into the game last night and was super impressed with the whole package.

Looks gorgeous. Ship design is authentic with enough flourishes to give the world a unique feel. TONS of special effects firing off all at once (lens flares, motion blur, tessellation). In spite of that, the game runs liquid smooth. Must be incredibly optimized as I've got everything running on Ultra settings and am still getting 60+ fps.

Sounds fantastic. The slide-guitar soundtrack is immersive as heck, giving the universe a dirty, Firefly feel. Dynamic as heck too, smartly weaving in reflective, "long-haul trucking" tunes with guitar-chunking combat sequences and quieter space-station tunes. Atmospheric sounds are equally impressive, with chunky ordinance & explosions as well as hyperspace & drive systems. Very full sounds all around.

Gameplay feels like an arcade version of Elite: Dangerous. Everything feels a bit more streamlined without losing any depth. You've still got all the fighting, collecting & trading found in these types of space sims, but the systems feel more immediate and accessible.

Obviously playing a space game on a 2D plain is going to be the biggest eyebrow-raiser, and I was happy to discover that it actually gosh-darn works. It's strange at first, that's for sure. But after a bit of acclimation, I found myself warming up to the naval battleship-like combat. Taking away an axis actually helps us pleebs that don't own a flight stick. It gave me more metal space and physical dexterity to deal with the tons of other combat awareness activities such as countermeasures, varying turret nodes, temporary shield usage, ship orientation for deflector shields, etc.

In the end this radical can be make or break for some, but I think it's a nice alternative for a more casual gameplay experience. I'll always have my Elite to dive into if I want a more demanding sim-like experience.

Finally, a note on the team size and base price of the game. The amount of polish layered on this game really betrays the game's humble origins. It makes sense when you consider the two guys who founded the company comprised of the co-founder of Runic (Torchlight series) and lead designer of Diablo 1, 2 and Hellgate.

Still to have a small dev team deliver a package this polished and cohesive in design and execution is pretty incredible. And at a $20 price point is almost absurd. It really brings home the idea of the purity of singular vision as opposed to focus-tested design by committee.

So yeah, the game has left its mark on my in just the short while I've been playing it. Looks like it's got legs between the story mode and sandbox universe that will follow. Two big thumbs up thus far.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Do you really get the future games? I've read that a few times by now. 'Cuz I've won the Volvo complete pack back in the wintersale with the coal.

A little late to respond but...

We've added the Valve Complete Pack to your Steam account as a gift from Valve. This will give you all of Valve's games (past, present and future) free of charge.

The "Friends and Family" pack they added to my account is different than the "Valve Complete Pack" you can purchase from the store during holiday sales though.

I'm watching iZombie pilot right now.

The lead actress is pretty cute. I like her better with normal brunette hair.

I can see why Zkylon like the show.
Olivia is like a cuter, less grumpier, cuter, funnier, cuter, zkylon.
