FF 13 series gets a bad rap because of its status as final fantasy and its release schedule getting delayed. At the end of the day as a JRPG trilogy on steam its actually pretty great. Story is batshit, but the game looks and sounds beautiful and the combat system is ultimately fun. I look forward to playing through all 3 games at some point. Ive never played the 3rd one though so it could be shit but i doubt it.

If you played one Zelda game, you've played them all. Mario's been stale for years, and what other franchises are worth mentioning? None I would say, a crap fighter and boring kart racer are just as boring as they sound.
The cast in LR is still awful despite changes. The visuals are more downgraded and the combat system is not that revolutionary but the outfits are nice? (FFX has better outfits)

According to Steam there's a little over 8,000 people playing at the moment, so people are playing, but maybe matchmaking is bugged? It's still a "beta" so maybe whatever network issues are going are going to be in a day one patch or something. Maybe make a lobby yourself?

Problem with this fall is a new RPG is releasing every week that I want to play; two weeks ago was Wasteland 2, then Tales of Z, next week's Divinity Enhanced, then Fallout 4; still haven't beaten Witcher 3, Shadowrun DF, Age of Decadence, Baldur's Gate, or FFXIII/XIII-2/Type-0.
I want to play them all but have little time compared to previous years since I'm not just working a 7:00-3:30 job now, but have to study stupid calculus and grad elec. engineering work. Was surprised I got through LiS Ep. 5 in one evening, Telltale games take longer than that for me.
I want a couple months off for videogames without the stigma of taking a month off for videogames. That or let me go back to being in high school with zero responsibility but with the income I now have.

I played the other two Final Fantasy XIII games, with LR being on PC. I'm finishing this damn trilogy come hell or high water. If it can just be a tad bit better than XIII-2 i'll be alright.
