I hereby swear that if Silent Hill 1, 2, 3, 4, Shattered Memories, and Downpour come to Steam, I legitimately will buy 8 copies of each, one for myself, one for a friend, one for Hitbox stream giveaways, and 5 for you guys here on SteamGAF.

i get the impression the doa games might lose some appeal on pc since pc gaming actually has real porn games

lot less competition for shameless exploitation on console

:p

it looked to me that Konami gave up on series more or less, but with latest developments... at least part of it I can see happening.

Well yeah, Consoles is Softcore while PC is Hardcore. It's not like you can connect a VStroker to a PS4 or Xbone.

The giving up thing I though was preemptive even at the time. Silent Hill had the most content related to it released in 2012, so of course 2013 was going to be bare for the series.

Also Kojima kept talking about the series in 2013 ad 2014, at the very least he made it clear the series in his eyes is important, and Konami is essentially Kojima these days.

Morning everyone hope you are having a good Monday Here's an espresso for those waking up.

Yesterday I got a corrupt save file but by exiting and returning to the main screen the issue was gone, phew. I thought I had lost a decent amount of progress!

Definitely one of my favorite games from last gen.

Why would you use molotovs for that? Combo weapons breh.
Even combo weapons don't consistenly burn those posters. Why they simply didn't make that action a button prompt like practically every other collectible is a mystery. Maybe another one of DR3's shoddy "delay the player at all costs" tactics.

I sold a regular guilty gear X2 card for $2.40. I believe it was slayer. But the foils are going for double digits. It's ridiculous. Made my money back on the game selling all the cards. Not a single one a foil.

Just finished Deus Ex: The Fall which was given away by DocSeuss, it's surprisingly fun albeit short but I consider it worth playing for any fan of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. There are definitely less mechanics and depth compared to the main game but it still scratches an itch for anyone who wants more vent crawling, guard knocking-out, computer hacking exploration.

Well, shit. My first drop.

I have no idea what to price this at.

It happened to me as well a few days ago.
I decided to go with 10€. Another one decided to go for 5€ soon after. I get putting a lower price, but I would understand something like 9,9€...

So start high, at least that way the card's price won't crash in two days. Hopefully.

Anyone else having issues with Dead Rising 2: Off the Record recognizing your controller? Controller is set to disabled and grayed out, can use the home button to pull up the GFWL menu though.

Unfortunately that's normal, the game doesn't recognize controllers anymore (or never did).

I give up. DLCs for Dead Rising 3 are too shotty. Just started Episode 2, saw a stupid female protagonist, 40 posters to burn, 25 medikit to find...also for some reason those posters are bugged and I need two molotov to burn them because the first one doesn't burn them all the time...so you need to find molotov too...40 times...no, just no.
I will skip them totally, waste of time.
What's wrong with a female protagonist exactly?

I'm pretty sure it does have controller support. If it's anything like the first DR2, it doesn't play nicely with wireless 360 controllers (or 3rd party 360 controllers). I'm reading that older x360ce versions might work with the game, but that seems like a hassle.

I hope they do fix that with the upcoming patch.

Huh? Me and my friend never had any issues with it not detecting controllers when we played through it a few months ago.

What controller and OS? Because I looked in the Steam forum and there are many threads about different controllers not working.

I'm pretty sure it does have controller support. If it's anything like the first DR2, it doesn't play nicely with wireless 360 controllers. You'll have to grab x360ce and make a basic config for your controller (it should be nearly automatic).

I hope they do fix that with the upcoming patch.

I've got a wired X1 gamepad. Uninstalled OTR now so I can't try x360ce.

I'm using a wired Xbox One controller, mouse and keyboard controls seem fine but I'm just used to playing the series with a controller. Excited to finally play Off the Record, and I haven't played 2 since launch so it should be fresh.
