Lists you say.

Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition, 231 hrs on record
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, 178 hrs on record
DARK SOULS™ II, 110 hrs on record

I really need to stop doing side ops and just power through some main missions in MGS5.

I don't get it

I mean I feel kind of bad that we got a lot of lists because of my impressions/review from MGSV. But I would have thought people like knowing completion times. I'll take it out from future posts if it's an issue.

I dunno, I think it sparked a mostly interesting conversation about how we each play our games. Some are completionists, some chase the fun, some chase the credits. It's given me an intriguing insight into you weirdos.

i once tried to be a completionist. that was back in the PS1 days with Crash and Spyro

i grew out of it. then i became a story gamer and not the biggest on competitivness, though i would play LoL for a while

Is there any sort of estimation of how much Sam throws achievement stats off by?

judging by games that get achievements bugged at the start (some later fixed, some still not), it's quite significant percentage to make community percentage irrelevant for rare achievements, it's somewhere from 0,1 to 3% that I personally have seen, but that being percentage of people that play a game doesn't say how many people do this on regular basis, but as I said, enough to ruin statistics and make talks with devs about not working achievements that much harder.
I assume that percentage of false achievements is much higher for more popular and f2p games.

200+ hours in a Clicker? That's not casual, that's hardcore.

And I personally chase the fun. I don't at all chase the credits, and in games where I'm having fun with more or less every action, I'm somewhat completionistic, although it tends to lead me to not finishing the game because of either fatigue, getting burnt out or another shiny game coming along.

Although I'm totally into competitive gaming, but it's mostly CSGO nowadays, as I don't play a whole lot of Dota anymore, and I too am a 'story gamer', so much so that I rarely play games with mediocre narratives, unless the mechanics and overall gameplay is really satisfying and gratifying.

One thing I've always wanted to see with respect to achievements is that for games with linear progress, tracked by achievements, it'd be nice to see "How far did my friends get". So there could be a left-to-right timeline of "progress" through the game, like Chapter 1, Chapter 2, Chapter 3, etc. And you'd see your friends avatars beneath how far they got.

It'd require metadata about which achievements are the plot achievements and what order they're in, so I wouldn't expect it to be retroactive, but regardless I think it'd be pretty effort and I think a lot of people would like it.

ive been wanting something like this ever since Sleeping Dogs did some similar ideas in-game

For you.
I remember people complaining about steam requiring confirmation when you are selling something of value on the steam market.

I haven't seen anyone mentioning it, so sorry if it's old info, but you can in the privacy settings choose the following:
Confirmation of Community Market Actions (?)
Enabled - You will receive an email to confirm some Market transactions.
Disabled - You will not be required to confirm any Market transactions. Steam Support will also not provide you with any assistance in recovering items that may be stolen from your account, for any reason.

They are not in your computer just like with KF1. IIRC are stored in TW servers, so not even steam cloud.
Otherwise it would be just simple to edit them all to max levels.
Ok, good. Deleted everything else so hopefully the game will work when I reinstall it.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Let's take it to the next level, guys. It's time to post how much your Steam account is worth and then divide it by the number of hours you've used it.

Bonus points if you do it on a game by game basis to determine its Per Emirates Needed for Interactive Sensations factor.

How do you find out the number of hours?

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
I have also played some of the games in my Steam account.

Does anyone know if Warhammer Vermintide has any fun physics stuff like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic? Screenshots reminded me of that game.
