hot hot hanuman-on-man action
An arena fighting game or some sort of level based?

it's an arena fighting game:

-2 minute matches, best of 5, no leveling up or farming.

-top down view, WASD to move your character, mouse to attack.

-$18 now to own all characters forever. $20 for it in a few days. when it leaves EA, it'll go f2p with hero unlocking similar to killer instinct or league of legends.

Picked up Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 5 because it was in the bargain bin at an acceptable price for mediocrity.

What a bummer of a game.

Thanks, will wait on f2p to try it.

I love Mafia 1 & 2, but the more I see of Mafia III, the more it looks like a generic Ubisoft open world game :(

I haven't checked out those specific models, the onus of research is on you. It sometimes helps to check out the board design, they are changed between certain models to be reference and higher quality mosfets, more powerphases, etc.

Biggest difference I can readily find is that SC has no backplate and that FTW does while also having a dual bios and 10 power phases. Can't find any info on SC. SC is ~$50 less though so I'll probably just get that. Anything is better than my 770.

Never bought a new GPU before.

All these Steam features based on recommendation and history of games are pointless. Valve gotta understand a large portion of users idle for cards of games they have little to no interest in actually playing.

As long as they don't allow you to individually exclude which games factor into the algorithms, those types of systems will remain fundamentally flawed for a lot of players.

how so, from what I played of Mafia 2 it was just as generic as any other open world game except for kind of having to follow the rules when driving

not that Mafia 3 looks all that good

How do you even come to that conclusion? 2 doesn't even have the "open world" to be generic to the level of an Ubi open world game. Mafia 2 has nothing to do in it's world other than free roam it and on occasion find the odd porno mag. The game by design is a linear story existing in chapters, not a side quest laden monotony of events

So I finally decided to play through Shadowrun Dragonfall this week, a good four and a half years after Kickstarting it and two years after it's release. I thought the game was really good (no surprises there). The best thing about the game is the writing. The main plot is fairly straightforward but there is a ton of detail and depth in the writing that you discover as you play through the game. They build the atmosphere really well and you feel like you're reading an actual cyberpunk mystery novel. Also notable are NPC stories which are quite interesting/heartbreaking.

The next best thing is how they manage to extract so much depth in their gameplay systems with the limitations they are working with. The game has small isometric maps with limited interactivity but the developers make it count and give you several ways to deal with any situation. There are missions where you can fight from start to finish or you can talk your way through them entirely if you have enough Charisma and the right Etiquettes. This also means that your build matters a lot and you cannot expect to be able to do everything in a single playthrough. You can't significantly change how the story plays out but you can definitely approach almost every situation in multiple ways.

In the end it's a really good, atmospheric CRPG that lasts about 20 hours or so. Highly recommended if you like the cyberpunk setting and RPGs where your choices matter.

I remember the game came out in 2014 and a lot of people talked about it as their GOTY. I picked Divinity Original Sin as my GOTY that year and I still think Divinity is a better game overall. While Shadowrun definitely has better writing, Divinity is much more fun to play through, especially with the combat systems, but also because it feels like there's more exploration and thought required to get through it. Both fantastic games though. Also, I'm thoroughly amused that Dragonfall, which was a stretch goal addon of a fairly modest Kickstarter, ended up being a far better game than Dragon Age Inquisition which probably had a budget 50-100 times higher and also released at the same time.

Thanks for the impressions, I'm about 3-4 hours in and it's really starting to click now, glad to know it's not too long though.

Serious Sam is a wicked gahbidge series for chowdaheads.
Full English 4 Life

(except no nasty beans or that black pudding bullshit)

You need to learn about the full Irish breakfast.

Instead of beans, fried mushrooms and tomatoes. Instead of weak toast, Irish brown bread.

Still has black pudding, but that's your problem, lightweight.

I thought the Full Irish Breakfast was pint of Guinness and a potato.

How many asset swap "horror" meme games will come out in October, that is the question. I'll put the over/under at 12.

So THAT'S why Guilty Gear Xrd R hadn't released on Steam yet.

Arc wants Guilty Gear amiibo, clearly.

I'm kinda losing interest in Arkham Knight. The story keeps losing track (and turns off story progress to try and force me to do Side stuff), the Batmobile handles the poorly, the Bat Tank while better mobility wise, feels forced and the combat sections with it just get tedious as hell. I liked how in Asylum/City where you didn't NEED to upgrade shit in order to beat the game. Here it feels like you have to upgrade the fucking tank before everything else. The thing just feels pointless, needless and tedious at the same time.

The framerate drops in the latter part of the game aren't helping matters, either. It still feels pretty unoptimized

People said Deus Ex Mankind Divided removed the "Piss Filter" - - no it damn well didn't!

I'm still fairly early in the game, but once you get to a night time area for somewhere, there is a piss filter applied outdoors that literally transitions in and out while you go through any door way leading from inside to outside.

Start your own trademark. Maybe put ᴶˢ next to everything you did first

People will just think it means javascript.

I surprised so many of you are apparently sitting on so many cards.

Same. When the glitch rolled around I had cards from like maybe 5 games that I could idle, so when I couldn't get it to work I wasn't really too bummed.
