Haha Marvel Heroes heroes and costume pack at a measly 25% off still works out to more than $60 for just four heroes and a bunch of skins. Don't vote for this fucking scam guys.

EDIT: Oh it's 50% off if it wins. Still a goddamn scam.

I started playing Warframe last night and it seemed decent enough for the hour or two I got in. The fact that it'll be on the PS4 makes it more worthy of an investment from where I stand.

So, if years past are any indication, Sunday will be a recap and those sales will be good until Monday. Meaning Saturday is the last true day of new sales. Is that correct?

Yeah but it was more. The reviews wasn't that good but it looked cool enough and wanted to jump in at $2.99.

I don't think it's popular enough to come back at that price again. Fucking Bastion!

I'm really trying to talk myself into it. lol. What's wrong with it. The controls?

Haven't played it, but looking at it reminded me of Robotech: Battlecry.

GAF tell me, how many games from your original wishlist did you buy... i only bought 2 games from my original list (there were 19 games)... and 7 outside the list...
I only bought 1 game from my wishlist (Metro: Last Light) and like 10 that I didn't have wishlisted (Humble Weekly Sale). There's some stuff I might grab on the last day (latest Defense Grid DLC), some stuff I'm waiting for a daily on (Blackwell Deception), some stuff I I would have been better off getting in a recent bundle or a previous sale's publisher pack (Still Life collection), and some stuff I suspect Rhode Island forgot about (but I'll buy if it's up for -75%). Having a backlog really tempers my expectations for these sales.

Fallen Enchantress looks interesting, can anyone recommend/tell me more about it?

Stardock, who developed GalCiv, The Political Machine, etc and published Sins of a Solar Empire, released a game called Elemental War of Magic which by all accounts was pretty shitty and basically unfinished. A number of apologies later, they worked at patching and improving the game. They then eventually decided to remake and remaster the game to make it better--and brought on the guy who made one of the most acclaimed Civ4 Mods to help with game design.

The finished product of that is Fallen Enchantress. Reviews seem to suggest that it is a significantly better game than Elemental War of Magic, but I can't think of anyone who has described it as excellent or must-have. Caveat Emptor.

Also I'd be remiss if I didn't point out a few things about Stardock that may or may not be important to you:
- Stardock is a small company owned by Brad Wardell
- Wardell is an outspoken person politically and has weighed in on a number of political debates in ways that have made some people uncomfortable. In particular his contributions on gender issues, lawsuits, climate change, small business regulation, wealth inequality in the US, etc have been cause for controversy.
- A former employee of Wardell's sued the studio for sexual harassment (mostly inappropriate crude jokes) -- he counter-sued and claimed she destroyed marketing materials for this game. You may wish to read the emails she submitted in her suit and his replies to those. His stance was basically that his actions were harmless and as the boss of the company he had a right to behave the way he wants and people who don't like it can find new jobs.

I don't mention this to make the thread a debate about Wardell or Stardock, but just because his own personal controversies are clearly directly tied to the company itself they might impact your decision to purchase stuff from them.

Dammit. The moment the flash sale on Gunpoint ended I felt the pangs of regret. Here's hoping it's a flash/daily again. Otherwise I'll suck it up and pay full price.

It'll almost certainly be part of the next big Humble Bundle or the one after that.
Good prices come to those who wait.

Picked up Rage.

It was very MEH on PS3...but should be fun playing it in 1080P. And for only 5 bucks I can live.

Currently playing The Swapper right now after I finished Dust: Elysian Tail earlier today-loved it and loving this as well.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.
Good news and bad news everyone:

Good news - thanks to some fellow GAFers, I've been able to identify why the "Total Spent on Steam" in Enhanced Steam is not functioning correctly for some users.

Bad news - there isn't anything I can do to fix it at the moment. I've reached out to my contacts at Valve in hopes that they'll add the relevant code I need to fix it.

Odd community vote this time round. voted for Warframe Starter Pack, but Fake Mahvel will win just because of the brand. It's getting fucking depressingly predictable at this rate.

As for me, triple-dipped on Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY (already beat it on PS3, and own it on GamersGate - but GFWL, and no Steam integration) and bought Warband, which I've wanted to try for a while. There's not really much else I want, but a Chivalry daily deal would be nice.

That's a good summary, Stump. Others in this thread have passed on Stardock stuff citing Wardell as the reason, so it's good for people to be informed.
