Darn, won't be around for the deal change. Going to go to the casino. Hopefully my luck there is better than my luck with foils and boosters.

All right GAF, you got me.

I think this is the longest I've been through a Steam sale without buying a game, Van Helsing looks interesting ( I love loot games), but I don't know.

If I liked battlegrounds in WoW, will I enjoy Forge?

They are quite different. I had pretty high hopes for the game before it came out but I'd honestly recommend skipping it. If you put the time in to learn a character very well, you would probably have fun, but the population isn't great and it takes far too long to kill anyone.

I had fun healing for a while, but after 4-5 hours I had no desire to play it anymore.

Really tempted by Strike Suit Zero/Infinity to just go ahead and pay the $6~$7...but I'm trying to wait in case Zero gets any cheaper. Not that it's expensive to start with, but still.

Mic bascially required or is text chat ok?

Text chat works well, but can be fidely for timed stuff on harder settings. A mic is required for 145+ mode and stealth missions really, but you can get by without.

I figured I wouldn't enjoy it as much playing solo especially with having to plan out missions. I just have a shitty internet connection so it really hinders my ability to play online.

You will enjoy it 1000% more with other players, especially as it is not competative.

Ah shit, I wanted to buy GTA4 DLC but didn't notice my wallet has $3.26 and I can't go to the bank until 1PM. Massive bummer.

You guys think the offer will return? Haha.

Since people helped me, here's a list of mods I found and selected, in order of importance:

edit: You can also add SweetFX if you know what you're doing - I think it changes the game's look too much, I'd rather pass on HDR but keep the exact colorimetry the devs intended.

edit: For the sake of 'exhaustiveness', I'll add those even though I won't use them:

Is Magicka good in single-player?

Prepare to get a really really hard game alone. You can beat it but you wont have fun with it. Playing it with more than 1 friend makes the game funnier. But dont be too serious about the game.
Playing alone : Killed by enemies
Playing with others : Killed by friends.

Edit : Magicka is the ultimate magic-suicide-simulation.

Worth the asking price for sure, but massively improved with coop. The only issue is that it's very buggy. It was a 50/50 chance if we were going to make it through each loading screen.
I remember when I played it with a friend, it took us hours to get through chapter 11. We kept taking turns crashing and almost gave up at one point.

There were patches that might have made it better since then because we also did a fairly flawless speed run sometime after that.

Now that we're talking about modding Dark Souls:

So, DSFix (Dark Souls) seems to make the game crash right at startup. I copied the files over just like the instructions said and whenever I try to launch it from Steam the game just plain crashes (this program has stopped working... message).

I removed the DLL and it runs just fine.

Any idea? I'm on Windows 7.

I already got a couple of suggestions which I haven't been able to try yet, but if anyone has more ideas I'd be glad to hear em.

So I'm willing to take a chance on one random game.

Van Helsing
Euro Truck Simulator 2
Payday

WHICH ONE GAF?

Van Helsing is my vote. Definitely not Payday, and I can't speak to Euro Truck.

Very possible. It's probably been 6-8 months since I played it.
