i've been begging for over 5 years.
Found the Cryengine 3 Skiing/Snowboarding game.

Its F2P and open-world. Releasing sometime next year probably. I explained Steam Greenlight to the deveolpers last year, so they might put it up on there.

That looks amazing. So long as there isn't instant death holes like SSX I'm sooo in.

Well, you save nearly 800 dollar.

It's even unbearably hot here in Scotland, even more so than Leeds was yesterday.

Anyway- Cryostasis? Although it's not supposed to be very good, so might make your blood boil. Failing that, King's Bounty has some very pretty wintry levels, and the Total War games are always at their most atmospheric during winter battles.

Cryostasis was pulled from Steam a few months ago.

Modbot didn't edit it correctly or something to that extend. It is gone.

No idea why the edit saved but the post display didn't update, seems like a GAF issue rather than a ModBot issue

That was funny, but the game looks phenomenally boring. I have no idea why people would want to spend their precious free time playing this.

Dish Washing Simulator 2014 on its way.

Oddly enough, it isn't. I've played it close to 5 hours now. The driving requires a bit of attention, at least in Switzerland / Bavaria / Austria. Once you get on open road, it's kind of nice just driving and listening to something good. Man, I love the streaming audio. I added a couple of favorite channels and it's fantastic.

I haven't even gotten to the carrot and the stick part of buying a truck and playing the upgrade game.

Cryostasis is no longer on Steam :(

It was on my wishlist for ages, too.

Got excited for a moment. Would kill for a great, realistic skiing/snowboarding game.

Alas, F2P makes that unlikely. Can't imagine there's too much talent or resources behind it. Sorry if that sounds dickish to indie developers, but pulling off great physics in a snowboarding game has rarely, if ever, been accomplished, imo.

Oddly enough, it isn't. I've played it close to 5 hours now. The driving requires a bit of attention, at least in Switzerland / Bavaria / Austria. I think the open road stuff would kill me. Though maybe there's not as much of it as I expect.

Then again, I ended up getting attached to Animal Crossing (which I regret), so who am I to say.

Thank you, I appreciate the honest feedback--if I had just asked "How's Star Trek", I'd have gotten 50 people who didn't play the game replying with "SHIT LOL"
I ended up buying it anyway.

I'm justifying it as some need of a Trek fix, given that STiD won't premiere here until September :(

Damn, this looks nice. Open world too? Wow.

I'll have to keep my eye on this one.

ModBot should get me Rayman: Origins, I thought I had won.

I'd be interested in trading a Frozen Synapse key for a Monaco key. I can't justify the purchase of Monaco because I'm at the high end of their unrecommended Macs list. (i7 Mac Mini)

And yeah, I know this is a pretty mediocre deal given the current pricing on FS, but I thought I'd throw it out there :)

Is Monaco fun two players or do you need the full four to really get the most out of it?

Same for me, three cards in three hours.

Yeah, drop times have been rather wonky since the sale began, presumably due to server load. I just finished idling in Dead Island: I got the first four drops within about an hour and had to wait yet another hour or so for the fifth and final drop.

Highly likely assuming there's an encore day. It may also appear as a Flash Sale/Community's Choice item in the interim.

any good way to get alerted of that? I think it's been that price on and off but not for long, and I keep missing it.

Hnnnnnnnng.

Holding off buying Trials to see what the Dailies are tomorrow as that would take up my last bit of money!
Did you try the demo? It might save you 10 bucks.

Dayum that looks amazing! It's been such a long time since I last played a snowboarding game.

Critter Crunch is a good puzzler with local co-op/vs.

Portal 2 might be something you can mess around in, and might be a great brain exercise for a kid, if just a bit too difficult.

Does it have to be splitscreen? There are quite a few indie games even that you can co-op on one machine.

Capsized
Pid
The Lego games
Trine and Trine 2
Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light
Critter Crunch
Dust Force (I think)
Awesomenauts

Oh, I also had some fun playing co-op in The Cave, with my girlfriend.
I think we wore out the fun, but we did complete the game twice, so well worth it.

Thanks everyone!
I played Portal 2 with her on ps3, but the fps controls were too difficult for her.
Can't believe I didn't think of the Lego games. derp.
Cave is a great recommendation because I already own it and was having a tough time getting through it.
Maybe I'll pick up Critter Crunch too.

I have Civ V (still haven't played it yet). Is it worth the $5 to upgrade to gold? Would I be getting everything else including the OST? If there is another expansion planned I would probably wait since I still need to finish IV but was wondering if I should pick it up now or wait since I probably won't get to it by the end of the year.
