I'm glad I sold my Steam Deck.

Now the temptations will be marginally smaller. 💀

Time to get all these hentai games steam keeps recommending even though I filtered for it to never show them to me.

Clearly Gaben wants me to jack off senseless on my steam deck with a harem full of Chinese cartoon porn.

How could you part with it? I've been playing mine nonstop since I got it in February. I'm seriously considering skipping Switch 2 (assuming FOMO doesn't happen).
I absolutely despised the screen. Once the OLED came out, I sold my original with the intention to buy the OLED model. I just haven't gotten around to buying one since I haven't had a ton of time to game lately.

If Balatro gets any sort of discount and you're on the fence, definitely grab it. That game is already more than worth the price.

wishlist still need.
New Riven remake game
No Rest for the Wicked (no one on Gaf is talking about this or I accidentally put the threads on ignore)
Eriksholm
Avatar Pandora has already been on sale for quite a while $41.99.

New deep discount category, interesting. Could it be theyve finally noticed the complants about the sales not being as good as theyve used to be?

GG.deals is where it's at. Just set price alerts and you'll be notified when a game hits the right price.

Time sure flies when you are playing all your free games on Epic. The few games I do buy on Steam are still in my queue, so I really do not think I am ready for another Steam sale.

It's the same discounts you basically get all the time and can be had year round thanks to key sellers. Nothing to get excited about.

15% off that one game you wanted that is 50% off on key resellers. Please be excited.

Some of us like to support the developers when purchasing our games. Buying from a key seller doesn't achieve that.

Others have Steam gift cards they received as gifts or whatever that they are ready to burn through.

Others still are looking for games that key sellers don't have access to (Half-Life: Alyx, many VR games, etc..)

etc.. etc.. lots of reasons to be excited for this sale.

For what it's worth, "key sellers" is a broad umbrella term that covers places like Green Man Gaming, Fanatical, or Humble Store which all source their keys directly from the developers. If you buy a key from one of these shops, the developers get paid. In fact, depending on the store and the sales volume, they usually get a bigger percentage cut than selling on Steam. This is how they can discount games more heavily on these sites while still making approximately the same amount in most cases.

Aaahhh, Im excited. You may not need to pick up anything. But the summer and winter sales make me feel cozy af.

are these hentai game even good games?

I reached a point sometime last year where I had bought most titles I had on my Wishlist and all of them for discounted prices over the years. The vast majority being older titles, but now it seems the only games left on my list are ones that never go on sale.

Essentially reached a "caught up" point on titles.

The keys come from the developers and steam doesn't take a cut of that money. Probably the biggest source of keys being dumped on the market and driving down prices is them being an unwanted item in a humble bundle.

I miss the args with the silly web games that went along with the flash sale era. I am a sucker for those freebie chat stickers nobody uses, though.

I'll be curious to see how this pans out:

Steam said:
New to the sale this year: A selection of extra-deep discounts you'll want to peruse for especially good deals.

Steam sales have certainly lost their event status with all the offsite key sales, but that also disqualifies you for one of Steam's best features in refunds. Though I guess you can game the system and have the best of both worlds.
