No need to wait. Go to the Steam directory, look for ClientRegistry.blob. Rename it to ClientRegistry.blob.old (or something). Re-start Steam, and it will run an update. It should work now.

Felt very uninspired and bland to me. The combat had no impact feel to it as well.

I'm a big HoMM fan, but I was totally turned off by the incredibly inefficient AI in Heroes 5 (on the larger campaign maps, each AI faction would take almost half a minute to take its turn, and that was on a top-of-the-line for the time system).

Div2 is good. It gets a bad rep for the first release, and that release was on console too. You get so much content for so little. They removed the DRM, so support the devs and help fund the new divine divinity game.
