So far I've purchased Medal of Honor, Bioshock 2 and Darksiders. Can't wait to see what we'll be getting today. :p

I get the feeling this is worse than a drug addiction or gambling.

I keep seeing games I want (but, in all honesty, don't really need) for ludicrous prices and than end up buying them all though I really need to save money for other stuff.

I buy them up now and then I'll have games to play through the year.

As a PC and Wii only gamer, my pickings for new games is slim this year, so I'm buying up old, cheap games I missed an enjoying them like they're new.

It is pretty hard not to just waste money. I've been really tempted to buy BioShock 1. I've already finished it three or four times, I'll never play it if I buy it, it makes no sense to do so, but it's still very tempting.

Ok, brand new day. I'm ready to ignore those bad first 3 days Steam if you can bring out the good deals for the rest of the sale. Go hard or go home, let's do this. Make me spend money!

anyone else having a problem in darksiders where it doesn't recognize input from the mouse3 button? I know it works on my mouse because it works outside of the game but it isn't working inside the game. I know it would be better played with a gamepad but I'm not made of money here

edit: also if anyone has a link to a good keyboard setup for the game that would be awesome...having to press caps lock and and a number key for magic is a bit much for my hands to handle well lol

Don't have a wired controller of any kind? 360 or PS3? I think you can even take a PS3 controller, plug it into USB, and just use xpadder to work.

Hmm this could be worth a try I didn't know that was possible. Thanks for the help I'll try it out once I get back to my house on campus. Atm I don't have my ps3 controller with me.

I enjoy the input I get about the daily deals in this thread but also appreciate when someone recommends a cheap game that would most of the time get overlooked. I'm trying to compile a post of these games for reference, please feel free to quote and add on to the games that I've linked to. It can be a bit of a fiddle with drivers. You'll need to Google it, it won't just plug and play.

unless SSF4 AE or DX3 somehow magically get $5 off (which would be amazing) I'm sticking to those minor indie games seeing as I've already played most of the big AA-AAA titles

If you're an FPS fan then there's really no question about it. BioShock is one of the greatest games of that genre this generation.

I'm not sure if Darksiders has native support (it should), but to use your PS3 pad in place of a 360 pad, you can use MotionInJoy. It's free and easy to use for the most part.

I don't have a 360 so the program has been a godsend for me. My PS3 pad is rarely unplugged from my PC.

Lol dont buy that, use motionjoy DS3 usb drivers. Somebody here on gaf made a thread about it too. You get rumble and everything.

Thanks for the advice as well, the xpadder program was suggested to me earlier but I was hesitant because I figured a free program might exist. Now I have $10 more to spend on games.

I couldn't find any 50 cent games. The cheapest I saw were the Oddworld games for around 84 cents.

Too bad

For the holiday sale there was some black and white indie game about pies (which I bought) and then some Roman city builder game.

It's always nice to grab some bottom of the barrel priced games.

What kind of mouse do you have? I have an MX Revolution and because Mouse 3 button switches between scrolling speeds I've never really had it work right in any game I played. I usually just remap.

And is Hoard any good? It's the only game I'm debating on getting. I wish RE5 would get a bigger price drop for once...

For those who weren't up last night: Best Buy is selling Fallout: New Vegas for $9.99 on their website. All Best Buy stores should price match the game for you. There's a very little chance that Valve will sell the game for so cheap.

I'm afraid of purchasing BC2 because once BF3 hits the community will move on.

As for what I'm looking forward for sales today is that all the DLC for the original Fallout 3 goes on sale. $2 for each would be fantastic.

BF3 is still a while away and BC2 is a fantastic game - in fact the best FPS right now. With this price you can't go wrong.

I wouldnt be. It's $5.

You have plenty of time before BF3 comes... and even then BF3 will be $50-$60 for a while. Get it, it's fun.

For those who love horror quests, there Scratches on sale for cheap $5. Probably, the best horror I ever played in my entire life. Even trailer scary as shit. And the soundtrack... ah, it's GORGEOUS! Go get it, I insist!

I think I'm gonna start gifting my friends now instead of buying things for myself if there isn't anything to buy.
