Really? I didn't get HL2 DM with HL2.Doodlebug said:HL Deathmatch: Source is available with HL; HL2 Deathmatch and Lost Coast are available with HL2.
Still no HL: Source, though.
This MassEffect pack is kind of outrageous. 34 for both games? Mass Effect 1 was 5 bucks not long ago. Unless the pack goes on a 75% daily deal (meaning around 5 bucks for Mass Effect 1, 10 buck for Mass Effect 2), which I doubt will happen, it's not a very good deal.ezodagrom said:Instead of having each game with a discount, EA games are being sold in packs.
Some of the packs discounts are rather small, but it's possible that we'll see some of them in daily deals, like the Battlefield BC2 pack.

I can see it going for 66% off tho. I don't know if 20 for the pack is a good price either - I blame the Digital Deluxe Edition for ME2.
Yeah, but it's only happening with The Witcher! I tried 7 other games and they're all loading fine.JaseC said:The Steam Client tends to fall apart when the servers are under stress.
Bentendo said:Yeah, the DD of ME2 is 9.99 on Amazon. I don't think EA really likes Steam

I tried changing my server location etc but that didn't work.
Starting to annoy me. Been like that for the last six hours now.
It actually downloads Lost Coast for free automatically. I just bought the pack and this will be the first time I'm playing the HL games (not a big PC gamer).Scipius said:You can download that for free once you have HL2.
Both Mass Effect games and Crysis + Warhead had great deals a couple of months ago man.Bentendo said:Yeah, the DD of ME2 is 9.99 on Amazon. I don't think EA really likes Steam
Do you like Aliens? Do you like Predator? If you said yes to both of those, than yes, it's worth it.MNC said:Wondering if I should bite on AvP. Community is probably dead, but is it worth it for the campaigns?

Also, is any of the dlc worth getting?
How much? I'll take it if you're just giving it out.HowardRoark said:Anyone want JC2? I bought it on Gamersgate for 5, then forgot and bought it again during yesterday's Daily. I can PM you the serial code that I got from GG. It is a Steamworks title, so it should be all good.

Maybe it's only with solo purchases, I got my HL2 in the OB a couple of years ago.Doodlebug said:I bought the four main titles yesterday and got them. I wasn't as interested in any of the others, which is why I didn't go for the complete pack.

Sorry arts&crafts, just missed it.
Yep. I verified in case something didn't download correctly with the recent server issues, but that all came back fine.JaseC said:Weird. I've had intermittent issues with games refusing to load and/or update, verify, etc., but I can't say said issues have ever been so isolated. :/ Do the game files verify without error?

Have it already for PS3 which I bought on a sale and have never played it.
Am I doing it right?
Heh, I thought that too, but figured I'd ask.Bentendo said:Holy shit. I refreshed right when you posted that message but assumed to were SELLING it and decided not to ask. Why am I so stupid?

Guess I just have to wait it out, which is a bit annoying.

I bought The Witcher 2 also.
I played BC2 earlier and I think I saw joypad in the options. I bet it has native 360 support as such a recent release.Sir Fragula said:I really need to stop buying Steam games on an impulse. For years I'd held out on the service before being pressured into getting it. The sales are great but I keep buying games that really aren't suited to me.
Today? Battlefield Bad Company 2. I love the game on 360, but fucking hate the keyboard and mouse for FPSs. Worst thing is that I *knew* I'd hate playing it after the last/first few sessions of Left 4 Dead 2 on PC that I've endured.
But that's the power of discounting; you buy shit you don't need.
Witcher 2 is the one I really want to play, but I'm going to have self control and go through the first one before I play that because I've been meaning to do it for a while. Glad I could pick up both this sale for £30.JaseC said:Nice. I finished TW: EE just the other week and I'll be purchasing the sequel when I upgrade in a few weeks time.
Guild Wars is not an MMO. It's a CORPG with a 3D lobby. There is no persistant world, everything is instanced.Chesskid1 said:does anyone know/think if guild wars will go on sale? or if it did last year?
looking to try an MMO and a no monthly fee seems like a good choice

Well, it's your money and your loss. If you want to spend your money on a securom infested game where handholding and ballroom dancing with men are vital gameplay mechanics, feel free to do so .Kerrinck said:Fable 3 is tempting me way too much.
