Alright, I better get PvZ and a Half Life game before this sale is over. Now that New Vegas is out of the picture I have a LOT of money in my Steam Wallet that I can use now.

This sale is killing me. I'm constantly buying games, but I'll never have time to try even half of them!

Damn you steam!

I don't have tons of time to game. But when I get a free night with the wife out I'll often just install 3-4 Steam sale games and sample the first 45 min or so of each. Then you at least feel like you've tried them and you can move forward with the one you like best.

You shoulda jumped on JC2 unless you missed it.

I honestly can't think of anything that I want to get super cheap, but I'm sure I'll make some excuse to buy something :p

I think I'm gonna start gifting my friends now instead of buying things for myself if there isn't anything to buy.

Already had it, and just finished it :p

Now I want something similar because it was super-fun. I asked about Just Cause 1 yesterday but based on the impressions I think I'll wait for something else.

I enjoyed Red Faction Guerrilla when it came out, fun sand box game.

What's Alien Breed 2 like? Worth the 3 tickets?

Alien Breed is extremely meh. I found everything about it to be generic and uninspired with nothing that stood out as great or even neat. Alien Swarm is much much better.

I played through the first one on xbox and then 30 mins of the second always in the hope t would get better but eventually gave up.

Story is generic you're on a space thingy and there's aliens delivered mostly through text. Graphics are posterchild for 'every unreal game looks the same'. Objectives are the most uninspired I've ever come across - nothing but restarting generators, reactivating oxygen supply, venting gas, etc. Gameplay is generic top down with the usual issues like enemies off screen attacking you and not being able to see far ahead enough.

But for free it's probably worth it :)

Forget about that! Seems its -33% now, don't know if it'll go lower as it was on sale when Armageddon released. I'll keep an eye on it..

Very tempting but half of those games I don't even want. I'm thinking about just getting Half-Life 1 & Half-Life 2 and then, after (if) I complete it, buy the others when they go on sale again.

One of the things that I hate about those Steam sales (aside from spending too much money on stuff I probably won't finish anyway) are the download problems - Darksiders stops every 10 minutes and the speed is worse than usual.

Steam's ancient point of sale system is ridiculous. I want to purchase truckloads of different items and the system is actually getting in the way.

For everyone's sake I hope it's being worked on.

You can download that for free once you have HL2. They are being tight-fisted though on account of not including HL: Source, HL Deathmatch and HL Deathmatch: Source. Of course, nobody's playing the multiplayer games any more, but still...

And I'm still waiting for a Steam version of HL: Uplink, Valve.

Although I would literally never even install it, I'd buy HL:S if it was on sale.

I'm hyped. Hopefully there is something more appealing to me than in yesterday's line up. I might be sending you a request if you're able to hook a brother up today ;).

No doubt. Send me a team PM as soon as today's deals hit so I know you're around.

I am ready for today. All tickets acquired so far. 8 days to go. Here's to hoping that 7 headshot counter-strike ticket doesn't show back up.

So I was looking through the cheapest Mac games I didn't have yet, and ended up getting The Graveyard, Windosill, and Guns of Icarus. Of these, Guns of Icarus and Windosill are at least sort of fun. The Graveyard sucks though, even as an art game, and I do appreciate art games. If you want to play something like The Graveyard that doesn't suck, just play Jason Rohrer's Passage, which is free.

I'm sure Capcom are preparing another 3 year old game at a totally laughable price, taking up another space in the sales as we speak.

Street Fighter 4 for £25 or something I expect. I'm serious.

Alright, I just bought Half-Life 2, looked at my library and saw that I have another game called Half Life 2: Lost Coast. Can someone care to explain what the hell that is?

It's a tech demo built from content cut out off HL2, it's literally ten minutes long, and it doesn't fit into the story at all.

A shame. I have extra JC2 and would've gifted it to you :p

EA games ( ME, Crysis, Dragon Age ) won't get discounted ?
Instead of having each game with a discount, EA games are being sold in packs.
Some of the packs discounts are rather small, but it's possible that we'll see some of them in daily deals, like the Battlefield BC2 pack.

Battlefield BC2 Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8666/
Dragon Age Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8671/
Mass Effect Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8673/
The Sims 3 Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8665/
Need for Speed Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8667/
Dead Space Pack: http://store.steampowered.com/sub/8672/

Just out of curiosity, is there a gaf steamgroup?

Also Whispered World daily deal! Gabe! Make it so!

Any adventure fan who hasn't picked that up by now is doing it wrong. Unless you dislike whimsy. Wait for a potential daily, but make sure to grab it before the sale is up.

Fable 3 is tempting me way too much. Even though everyone says it is crap, I loved the second one.
Also, is any of the dlc worth getting?

So I already have Vietman, any of the other Magicka DLC worth picking?

Other DLC are costumes or challenge/PVP maps.

I liked Marshlands challenge. Undead/Demon theme and there are lots of enemies on screen.

I cant log into my steam account because I changed ISP and I've contacted them, including a CD KEY of Half-life 2, still no word back after like 2 days. Shit. I dont wanna risk making a new account and having to play everything on there, and I dont want get things as 'gifts' in order to give myself incase I never manage to log back in on my old account at all =( sucks man.

So did I. And I'm still suffering from third-degree burns as a result of paying for Fable III. ;)

Edit: Clarity.
