Transformer is a must u guys said ?

Its the best Transformers game, if you like the franchise go for it. If not you might want to watch a vid review.

I find the tower defense genre to be quite boring, is Defense Grid different enough in some way? It's the only ticket-game in the 3€ range that seems decent... (The Polynomial is barely a game, right?)

Yes, polynomial isnt a good game. It looks trippy though.

GAF, with Mass Effect 2, you buy DLC from the game itself correct? So even if it's on sale, it'd probably be cheaper to buy it on PS3 as it includes most of the DLC already?

I guess it depends on how much the PS3 version is going for right now, but it includes all of the DLC up to Arrival, and a good portion of that DLC is junk. It may still be cheaper to buy the PC version and only the essential DLC packs (Overlord & Shadowbroker).

(damn this thread is fast)

I'm a Steam sales virgin (and a new PC gamer). 4 day total is 66 bucks so far.
I thought virgins make a lot more money than that.

Thinking of picking up Dragon Age: Origins. Not too interested in the sequel.

So in regards to Assassin's Creed, would you guys recommend just skipping number 1 and going to 2? Would I be missing out on a lot of important story stuff?

Ass Creed -- so tempting. I know there are Ubisoft ninjas watching, so I want them to take a message back to their corporate overlords.

I bought AC1:Director's cut for PC on a steam sale a few years ago. I loved it, so I bought AC2 on the 360 when it came out so I could play it without having to wait for the PC version to be released 6 months later. I also bought AssBro on the 360 for the same reason (and also because I read about all the complaints with the DRM servers going down randomly and preventing legit customers from playing the game they paid for).

Each time AC2/AssBro is on sale, I *want* to rebuy it on PC. However, your shitty DRM makes me reconsider my purchase each time. Think about that, you could have more money from me if you stopped being dicks to loyal, paying customers. I *want* to re-play your game on the glorious master-race platform. Why won't you let me do so without jumping through some ridiculous hoops?

Pirates cracked your DRM a month after it was released, so it did it's job. Why don't you remove that crap and rely on Steam auth now? You will make more money if you do.

Ok, got that out of my system. Probably won't mean much for 2 or Brotherhood since there are no dev resources assigned support so long after release, but I hope it shows up when they do a market research survey for AC3's PC version.

Play 1 and see if you like it. It's an acquired taste. Most people will jump straight to 2 however.

Dragon Age: Origins purchased! Slightly over my $10 per day imposed cap (it was $10.20), but whatever :p

Well, there is some story stuff, but that isnt whats good about the game. Just skip 1 and look up some story videos on youtube.

lol they removed it. You don't have to be constantly online anymore. Only on startup.

They did patch it out of AC2 and it was never in ACB.

Just played JC2 for about 4 hours. Really wish I had trusted my instincts with this game and not reviews a long time ago. So awesome. I really wish I had a controller for this though.

How's the PC version of Two Worlds 2 (in terms of optimization and playability)? I've heard that despite having a decent amount of "jank" - as Giant Bomb would put it - it's a pretty fun RPG with a shitload of content.

Right now it's between DA:O Ultimate Edition and Two Worlds 2 for me today.

Day 4 - Defense Grid and Torchlight; already have Tropico 3, Modern Warfare 2 PS3, and AC Brotherhood PS3.

Damn. Tried to buy Torchlight. I choosed payment option via PayPal. PP says that payment is done, but Steam is showing "waiting for payment". Goddamn, when I transfered money via steam client@paypal, got error -2 and .. nothing. Now without game and without money.

I've been having tons of problems charging my account today as well. =/

I think most people liked JC2. It doesn't have an Oscar Worthy StoryTM, but it's good fun.

I liked both but I'd recommend DA:O more. But it comes down to whether you want a very good oldschool (basically isometric) RPG or a 3D world adventure like Gothic or Risen.

TW2 was fun, though.

Quick question, I bought the Magicka complete pack yesterday. It only seems to have downloaded the core game. Is there a way to re-download the other DLC?

Yeah, I skip most cutscenes...they seem ultra corny.

Do you all recommend a wired 360 controller, or getting the wireless adapter since I already have the controllers for my 360, obv

Just hope that SpaceChem returns on the last day... Lost the chance to grab it on the daily sale. I might bite on the last day if it doesn't though. Today I'll be pondering on AC BrotherHood.

Woo, it's worked just right now. Valve have to do sth with servers. It's terrible how slow they're working today.

Everyone is gushing over AC2, but how is it if one's already finished Brotherhood?
There are both positives and negatives to that.

Positive
- AC2 has a better story
- AC2 provides the background for AC:B
- AC2 has way better cities (Venice is the highlight of AC2)
- AC2 is much longer

Negative
- You will miss some of AC:B's additions (like the crossbow and your own assassins)
- It's not one big world (cities connected by load screens)
- AC2 is not quite as pretty as AC:B

To me, it more or less comes down to the story. If you really like the story and want to understand more of it, then go for AC2. If not, then you may not care for AC2.

The DLC was included in the patches, you just unluck them with the purchase.

Good stuff. I'll still wait a bit myself, I have punched in my info far too many times.

Perhaps in an hour or two it'll be slightly smoother sailing.

Wired seems to require little to no tinkering. Just what I've been reading.

Oh man, first I buy DA: UO for the PS3 and it gets lost in the mail. Now I want to buy again and isn't available on my region. I give up. God don't want me to play this game.

bought Two Worlds Dos today. not sure if I’ll regret that one.

I think part of the reason was the novelty that it runs on the Mac. not many games of this style and scope do that. I’ll be curious to see how performance differs when I boot into windows and try it from there.

just realised UK steam is actually cheaper for two worlds II than US steam by about $3-$4, shock and awe
£8.50 versus $17.00

Two Worlds II does. I don't think Transformers does. Not 100% sure though.

Got torchlight. Kind of want Assassin's Creed 2, but feels like won't run properly on my PC. The first one was an experience on frame dropping already.
