I've spent like 2 hours doing the MoW AS ticket because all of my guys died and I have 2 slow ass infantry units carrying 5 beer packs all the way across the map, 1 at a time, lol.

Seriously though MoW has to be my favorite strategy game.

Um no it doesn't! Played through the game without any pop in and with the texture replacements by far the PC version is the best version of War For Cybertron. This is a must buy especially at this price!
People were complaining about that on the Transformers Steam forums. They were also complaining about a reduced turning speed in vehicle mode while using the unlocker. Not sure if those issues got fixed or if they're limited to W7 64 bit.

Day 4

Nothing.

Yay!

Mainly because I already have all the good games such as Dragon Age: Origins, Torchlight and Modern Warfare 2 (well...).

My Serious Sam HD games are updating (my guess is they'll have a challenge sometime...)...and Steams servers are still too busy to let me play Defense Grid. Given I'm looking in my downloads now and finding a paused update for it I'm guessing thats the issue and its the usual client giving silly messages.

I have Win 7 64 bit. Sounds like those people are having technical issues based on their computers.

I wish Arma II was 75% off... I have absolutely no interest in the game itself, but someone posted a video of the mission editor which looked great. At £5 I'd buy it just to mess around with that.

I wish they'd put Operation Arrowhead on a decent sale. I bought Arma II at launch for $50, and I've never seen OA below $20. Yet, the Arma II + OA bundle is 22.49.

Bohemia, how about giving those who already have the base game a decent deal for a change?

I know I won't buy Arma III right away when it comes out.

Dragon Age Origins: Ultimate Edition for $10.20 is a GREAT deal! Bought it full price $50 and well worth it. For those who haven't bought it yet BUY IT NOW!!!

Is anyone else reading these "letters home" from camp? They're actually pretty funny. It's cool how much effort they're putting into crafting this odd.. camp story thing. I wonder if they're planning to do more with it, or more like it. Maybe turn it into the next potato ARG or something. Well hell, it kind of is already that with the ticket hunt. Just seems like they're going somewhere with it.

I missed on Witcher 2.. but I see it's on D2D for 33 and change.

If I read correctly though, not steam compatible..

The last day of sales is usually a recap so it might pop up again.

Is the co-op campaign for Two Worlds II substantial enough to warrant a purchase? I have zero interest in playing the game single player.

Definitely not, it's pretty short for an RPG (about 10 hours to finish the 7 missions), the story is pretty lacklustre and there's no postgame content unless you want to grind mindlessly some levels on the last mission for no reason. Got the game on PS3 for co-op exclusively and was really disappointed.

I´m pretty damn sure I gifted my brother the BC2 pack with Nam included for 10€ earlier today. Went through all the motions, I thought, chosing gift through Steam, writing that stupid note etc. He hasn´t gotten an email about it, though. He got the Bioshock gift I also sent today and GTA SA which I gifted him when it was on sale.

How can I check whether I actually bought it besides waiting for my CC details in a month, I haven´t gotten any "you bought/gifted such and such" emails from valve.

I´d be pretty bummed/pissed if that didn´t work and yes, I won´t buy Transformers and Torchlight until this is cleared up.

He means Defence Grid. On the flip side, I found the narrator quite annoying, especially when they had the volume bug where you couldn't mute the speech. I *think* that got fixed.

It's 'cuz you're british ("Defence") and therefore immune to the charms of british accents

If I pre-purchase Deus Ex 3 on greenmangaming, do I get the key immediately to use on Steam? Or do I get it in 2 months, when it comes out?

It's steamworks.

Very unlikely. A new game that's (presumably) still selling well will probably not be put at 75% off (which even then would be $12.50). I'm personally betting 50% off, but even that could potentially be a stretch. You (and I) made the right choice in purchasing it at Best Buy.

You guys suck, here in Canada, I'm still finding it for $25 on sale, $30 regular. Steam is sadly enough the cheapest way for me to purchase games when it puts them on a good sale.

Sword & Soldiers ticket was super easy to earn. Buy the lightning and heal spells, spam berzerkers up both pathes. Soften up everything with lightning and heal as needed.

Seems like a really fun game. I can say that of virtually every one of these smaller scale DD/indie titles that I've picked up this sale.

AaaAaaA!!! - Interesting concept, I just don't like the game based off of what I've played thus far. I'll give it more of a shot later.
Garshasp: The Monster Slayer - A functional God of War clone. My opinion is tempered by the amount I paid, I wouldn't recommend it for anything more than the 2.50$ I bought it for.
Hamilton's Great Adventure - Really fun puzzler/platformer. Between this and Lead & Gold, I've become a fan of Fat Shark.
Hoard - Really fun game, I'm not sure what genre to classify it as, but it's easily the most fun time sink I've acquired in a good long while. Fun to play if you've got twenty minutes to kill.
Lead & Gold - Really fun team based tps, I wish it had a more active community. I enjoyed what I got to play though.
Swords & Soldiers HD - An rts I don't suck at!

Still have Defence Grid, Toki Tori and Greed Corp left to go through.

I bought New Vegas at retail for 30$, worth every damned penny. Obsidian does what Bethesdon't.

So I've been playing Darksiders for a while now. Odd game, not sure what to think. It's Zelda-like, yet not. The combat is fairly simple, and enemies are either harmless or terrifying with little middle ground. Still, it's pretty fun. I hope I can find more Heart Containers Skulls soon. Also War is one angry dude. Not Kratos level, but a perma-scowl has been detected.

I could use some friend adds as well. In terms of multiplayer I really only have TF2 atm, so I've been playing that daily.
Same ID on steam.

Goddamn I leave for three hours and expect ACB to be finished when I get home and it's only halfway through. My peak has been 1 MB/s. GET OFF STEAM PEOPLE.

Wow Tropico 3 isn't very optimised. I have a rig that can max Witcher 2 and Crysis 2 at 60fps yet Tropico 3 gets frequent frame drops. View distance on ultra is a massive performance drop.

Shit I'd kill for that. I'm jumping from 60kb/s to 330KB/s average. Normally I'm 1.5MB/s

Wow, The Force Unleashed 2 is a pile of fucking shit. As soon as I started it, it crashed. Then I tried again and it started but it looked like this.

I just finished the Defense Grid achievement, it's pretty fun. I don't think I've ever used so many teslas.

Any advice for the 5th map? There isn't a ton of areas for placement, and I just can't seem to figure out how to get through it.

*edit* by 5th I mean the last map you have to do Out of Bullets on.

So what exactly is Tropico 3 and what makes it special?

City builder set in a banana republic in the midst of the cold war. There are scenarios that comprise the campaign and it has an awesome soundtrack.

Is it a lot like SimCity? (I've already bought it but haven't played it yet).
