I bought both Borderlands and Dragon Age Ultimate for 24.99 each during past sales. They were 7.50 and 10 during this one. Dirt cheap for so much damn content. It be mad crazy yo~

Well, Torchlight has a "netbook mode", but I've never tried it.

Yeah it is, that's why I like to save 2 bucks, (My Steam sale Motto is "Do not buy anything over $5")

If you are a long time owner and player and finisher of the game, this may interest you. If you just bought it for 6.79, chances are you don't want to gift it to me for 5 bucks, but if you want to get rid of your copy for five bucks, I'll be honored to buy it off you.

Anyway I am trying my luck at the Steam Gifting thread.

Fuck, how does gifting work on Steam? Can you even gift your own games that you had for a while? I may not know what I am talking about here.

Still on the fence too but everyone including TotalBiscuit say it's the Batman AA of Transformers games.

I'm not that big a Transformers fan but I'm interested.

When you fly a plane past an umbrella, it opens up, but then it closes after a few seconds. I got it by taking several planes and flying one back and forth across each of the small group of umbrellas until I had them all covered.

Yeah, it doesn't work that way. Unless they are buying the copy specifically for you right now, they can't gift you their already played copy. That'd be too easily exploitable I'd think.

Can't believe they're pretending DA2 for 30€ is a "sale" when the normal price is way less than that in any store.

Torchlight on the other hand is such a great deal it makes me wish I could buy it again.

Alright, I need some help. Whenever I try to run Steam, it says "Steam.exe (main exception): CmultiFieldBlob(pSerialized): Bad field - extends past end of blob"

I looked it up and they said to "Rename the ClientRegistry.blob file in the Steam directory to anything else, e.g. ClientRegistry.bad.blob".

How exactly do I do this? Where is the Steam directory?

The 5th map mentioned doesn't even have umbrellas does it?

Torchlight interests me, but I can't imagine a Diablo style game without co-op. That's where I've always thought the fun in such games came from, though I've never tried solo to know for sure. Hmmm.

Erase ClientRegistry.blob


Program files > Steam

This is kind of embarrassing, but how do I do that? Where is it located? Under search I typed "clientregistry.blob" and it said "No items match your search".

DA:O Ultimate for $10.20 seems pretty decent, though!

Well Defense Grid was definitely worth the money so far, pretty fun little game. Looks like today I will only be buying Tropico 3 and Defense Grid + DLC. First purchases of this summer sale! :)

...The game is booooooorrrrrriiinnnggg. Good game, but so damn boring. And this is coming from someone who put 100 hours into the original.

Just going to chime in and say I'm a 64bit Windows 7 user and I've played the game without any issue as well.

Transfromers is quite frankly a really good game. But it was mainly the mulitplayer that kept my interested in the title going. Cracking stuff though spoilt a little by poor community numbers. Still at the price the single player is a blast.

If you haven't gotten Defense Grid DLC, keep in mind it's one of the prizes of the summer both.

I loaded it up today for the first time in a year or two to get the ticket for it, I forgot how much fun it is :D

Only problem is my leader board entries/level progress got wiped since the last time I played :/

How is two worlds and Kane and lynch?

Just an fyi for all considering to buy the AC games. If you have a 16:10 monitor you will have black orders on the top and bottom and there is no work around for it.

Also another note for anyone considering MW2. The dialouge during the campaign's volume is extremely low and the other audio is normal. I am running Win 7 64 bit with an audigy x-fi sound card. Until I can find a fix I don't recommend getting it.

I love the narrator robot in DG. Such a simple thing, done right, really adds to the whole experience. I love walking into a level and hearing him explain what it used to be, long ago.
