I never bought any DLC for DAO, would it be worth getting the Ultimate edition at 10€ for just the DLC+Awakening?

12 tickets earned and spent. Got the Team Fortress 2, Killing Floor, Dawn of War II: Redemption and Monday Night Combat dlc. Gonna try and go for the Magicka and Portal 2 dlc.

Any chance of Dirt 3, MTG 2012 or Settlers 7 going on sale?

Those are the only games I'm interested in now as all Steam/Origin activated games often can be had for a lot less than they go on sale for.

Yes to all of them.

Nobody is going to be able to answer this question for you, sometimes games completely come out of left field...but since planeswalkers '12 isn't even on normal summer sale I think it's safe to say it won't pop up. The other two are but Dirt is only $5 off, that's probably the normal price.

So, hazarding a guess...? Settlers 7 maybe, the other two probably not.

Torchlight at $3 is probably the best deal of the sale so far. I don't know how ANYTHING can compete with that.
Yeah its pretty insane. Thats like 5 hours of gameplay for a dollar.

I have 102 hours logged in Torchlight. Ridiculous amount of gameplay in there if you're really into it.

Thinking of buying Tropico 3. Good decision or not GAF?

I don't think I've seen one disparaging word about Tropico 3 in this thread.

I'm not seeing an unlock, what might I be doing wrong?
I don't know if they fixed it, but it was glitched earlier today. It doesn't pop in game but you get the ticket/achievement anyway.

I'm tempted by F1 2010 but I'm not sure. I love racing sims like GT or Forza, and I love a lot of arcade racer like Motorstorm or Wipeout, but I'm not a big fan or sim/arcade hybrids like PGR or the Dirt series. Where does F1 2010 stands there? Is it a simulation like GT or some arcade hybrid like Dirt?

Absolutely. I bought it but (DAMNIT) forgot to buy Tropcio 3 Gold and instead just got the one game. Now I'll have to get the expansion pack separately, thus costing me $1 that could have gone towards something else (like food).

Just bought Fallout New Vegas from a local bestbuy for $9.99. Will the price for new vegas be anywhere near $10 during the steam summer sale?

Well, this is a little odd - I'm getting different prices viewing games in the Steam client and on the web site. DA:O shows up as $10.20 in the client, and $17.00 on the web site. Titan Quest Gold is 13.39 in the client and $10.04 on the web site. I set my download region to France while the servers were hammered a few days ago, but this shouldn't affect my purchase region, should it?

edit: Prices are still weird when I set my download region back to Vancouver. Maybe it's a load balancing thing gone wrong?

Very unlikely. A new game that's (presumably) still selling well will probably not be put at 75% off (which even then would be $12.50). I'm personally betting 50% off, but even that could potentially be a stretch. You (and I) made the right choice in purchasing it at Best Buy.

How is...and Kane and lynch?

Kane and Lynch 2 is better than the first. I liked them both, but the first game goes off the rails towards the end. If you want to take a gamble, get the second one - The story and gameplay are more streamlined than the first game and it runs better.

Both worth $5 though.

I thought Two Worlds 2 was terrible and incredibly boring, if people are looking for more random people opinions.

I know that DennisK4 loves the game and I have someone on my friend list who has played it for nearly 100 hours.

There is a trainer that does it. Look in the forum on steam for the link.
Gah, it causes texture pop-up and other bugs. Dammit Activision. When PC gamers say they want a faithful PC port they don't mean it literally.

Torchlight
Arma II: Combined Operations
Arma II DLC
Tropico 3 Gold
MOW Assault Squad DLC

Total:
$36.70 spent

Combined with the $19 I spent yesterday and I've already blown $55.

My thoughts exactly.

All I need now is Borderlands GOTY edition to show up again for $6-$7 on the last day of the steam sale.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
To wait for Frozen Synapse.. or find someone to split a 2 pack with?

Hmm.. it's the one thing I really want, other than Risen/Divinity 2 for cheap.

I missed on Witcher 2.. but I see it's on D2D for 33 and change.

If I read correctly though, not steam compatible..

Um no it doesn't! Played through the game without any pop in and with the texture replacements by far the PC version is the best version of War For Cybertron. This is a must buy especially at this price!

It was 75% off at D2D a little while ago. I think Steam will at least match that.

I love the narrator robot in DG. Such a simple thing, done right, really adds to the whole experience. I love walking into a level and hearing him explain what it used to be, long ago.

Which game are your referring to?

It was $10.68 at Direct2Drive with a referral code a little while ago. May show up for $12.50 on steam. But retail version can be registered on Steam.

Okay, have a question, considering buying Deus Ex 3 from GreenmanGaming. So, I pre-purchase, and just use the key on Steam, and then it's in my Steam library? Or do I have to go back to GMG when DE comes out, and register it then, almost two months from now?

He means Defence Grid. On the flip side, I found the narrator quite annoying, especially when they had the volume bug where you couldn't mute the speech. I *think* that got fixed.

You guys should buy Defense Grid. It is awesome. Probably my favorite game out of all the deals today.

The game looks awesome. I'll probably end up buying it by the end of the day.

Bought Tropico 3 on a whim.

Just played a little bit of Darksiders, definitely worth the 5 bucks. Surprised it runs as well as it does on my 3 year old laptop, but I'm still worried about it overheating :(

I wonder if I'll ever beat any of the steam games I've bought over the years

I wish Arma II was 75% off... I have absolutely no interest in the game itself, but someone posted a video of the mission editor which looked great. At £5 I'd buy it just to mess around with that.
