Steam Summer Sales Thread: remember: you can actually play after buying

These deals today suck.

If I had more money for impulse purchases I'd get DOW2 but not much else for the daily deal.

Strategy First deal looks cool, but I either already have most of these games or don't want them for any price point.

Daily deal games I already own today:

The Witcher 2
Borderlands GOTY
Oblivion
Recettear
Lead and Gold

Daily deal games I might buy for a lower price:
BttF (the first game was meh, Telltale has made better games)
DOW2:Ret (It's $15 and I still haven't finished the first game because I can't beat the super elite optional boss and refuse to end the game until I own him)
TDU2

Daily deal games that I'm sticking my fingers in my ears and saying lalalala:
Bit Trip Runner (bit trip wasn't that great, it was okay)
Blood Bowl (ew football rts)
Operation Flashpoint (lmao)
MOH (I would prefer to eat feces)

I don't really understand this "summer camp" thing but I hope it's not as bad as the "Buy games get hats + chance to win grand prize pack"

edit: damn it's exactly like the last grand prize situation.

You can't go wrong with the Telltale pack. So many great games in that pack without a doubt.

And dear god I'm so giddy. Borderlands is downloading and I can't wait to finally play it. I love being a cheapskate even if the wait for sub 20 bucks games is hard. That to me just makes them so much sweeter when I do get to finally play them.

Bought the TF2 Glasses with my 3 tickets :)

Toki Tori was hard, but fun... Had to look up 1-6 and 1-7 though. 1-7 was impossible with mouse only for me, when I played the game back then, I had to you the arrow keys to clear the level.

The hats that were given during the treasure hunt can be sold now to hat collectors for up to $300

id say it was a good deal

Thanks. I got 1-6, what you need to do is go to the bottom of the level, get both enemies down there, and get them on the left waterfall. Freeze them both and walk from the log on top of them and all the way over to the sun beam. I'm going to attempt 1-7 now. I still need 1-4 and 1-5.

Publishers should not be able to call their packs "Complete" when they don't include various old games. I can understand not putting your most recent release in the pack but why doesn't PopCap include Bookworm adventure 2? Or Mystery P.I. - Lost in Los Angeles? C'mon.


And where are the Indie packs? I hope some show up as daily deals.

Wrong. Solid but cliched SP, and enjoyable MP hampered only by bad maps and lack of post-launch support.

Surprisingly easy, you just have to get no misses for the 1st part of the 1st world. It has a fairly simple and predictable pattern so it isn't as hard as it sounds.

Just finished a achievement run in L&G with a couple gaffers, everything was going smooth until randoms started joining and killing everybody.

What a headache, but me & the gaffers I invited got their achievement so it's all good. :p
