What is the likelyhood that Aquaria, Dreamfall & Longest Journey get an even bigger discount during this steam sale?

pretty slim

Aquaria is already 5usd, The longest journey bundle is about 6 bucks already and the games are way too old to recieve a daily discount.

I dont really see Dreamfall and LJ getting a bigger drop. You can get both for like 6-7$ on the double pack.

I had never played a Diablo-type game before Torchlight and I enjoyed it enough. By the time I got to the end boss I was ready to be done with it, but it was definitely worth the $5 I paid. It's worth a punt, I can't imagine anyone will play Torchlight and downright hate it.

I haven't played Diablo either, but I'm definitely enjoying Torchlight. It's not terribly deep or anything but it has a certain charm to it and it seems like a gateway drug for people new to the genre. I also like that I can dungeon crawl with a pet cat!

I think it would be a good fit for a portable system like PSP2 or Iphone since it's one of those games you play often but in short bursts.

The love the game gets is based entirely around the game being very fun and filling a niche, and also the developers are great, make a good product for cheap, and were some of the original D2 ppl.

It bored me to tears. Boring combat, boring setting, boring loot, boring characters and classes, boring skill trees.

I couldn't find any reason to keep playing it. And like I said, I'm a fan of the genre.

Weird, like Snuggler said it is great in short bursts after you've had your initial 10 hour play session ;)

Torchlight is colorful, quirky, and basically diablo-lite.

Yes, and I heart Torchlight.

This is an amazing deal, and no reason to be on the fence even if you are just curious and think you might like it.

Because honestly, I think you will. :)

Wow. Iron Grip: Warlord is actually pretty cool.

I'm glad the ticket achievement showed up. It's one of the indie bundle games I ignored originally.

speaking of aquaria what do you guys think of it? i see that it is metroid-like in its design and metroid is probably one of my favorite franchises so aquaria has caught my eye a few times.

I'm looking to buy Tropico 3 but I have a question. I am only able to left click because of a disability OR I can use a special Xbox 360 controller. Can the game be played using one or the other?

Same boat as Brazil. Iron Grip: Warlord has been great fun, and will be in my MP rotation for the foreseeable future.

I see lots talking about Aquaria, how is that? I looked at screens, and it's underwater the whole time? I hate underwater levels :/. Yes yes I know.

Could anyone gift me Dragon Age: Origins? I'll gift you anything of similar value in return. For some reason despite the 'meh sequel being available in my region, the original is not. PM if interested!

To be sure, are you in South America?

My only gripe with Iron Grip is that i cant get it to work on widescreen. The resolutions just dont show up for me, i only get 640x800, 800x600 and 1024x768

Apparently its because the game doesnt support 16:9, only 16:10, but it doesnt even give me the option? :|

Oh man, was looking forward to picking up Two Worlds 2; but not sure i can afford picking it up at >$15 price after being discounted.

Another 6month wait for you. Sorry Dennis.

I know it supports 1080p. They just updated it a few days ago.

Make sure you guys register the game with your CD Key.

Odd, this is in the patch notes from the other day:
Added support for 16:9 resolutions 1920x1080 and 1600x900

Has anyone else played Swords & Soldiers HD from some recent indie pack? I tried it today and beat it in two sittings, pretty sweet sidescrolling RTS lite where you basically only control macro and not micro (you can't control your units). Charming graphics, very little challenge and some ok humor. I definitely recommend it.

What is Two Worlds and why do I want it?

It's a generic-looking open world fantasy game that DennisK4 loves more than his family. I haven't played it but it seems pretty nice.

My first NeoGAF post? Interesting.

Andrew Dice from Carpe Fulgur just tweeted that Chantelise will release by the end of the month.

Recettear has sold 140,000 copies and continues to sell.

Also, their third project is Fortune Summoners which looks AWESOME.

Oh yeah! Of course, the Steam sale is fun. This is my first.

I see Steam has payment options for 'Visa' but does that option include 'Visa debit'?.. If not, I'm going to have to open the ancient, unopened-for-thousands-of-years tomb that is my paypal... >_<

What do you mean? It doesn't matter if your VISA is a credit or a debit card.

Two Worlds II

are all essential buys for those who don't own them already.

For $17 it's not worth it. Pass. I'll wait until it's $10 or under which is what is should be worth considering how bad the game is.

I use a Visa Debit card, have no problems at all.

Yea. Just pick Visa and it will work. I use my Visa debit card by picking Visa and it works fine.

Mount and Blade: With Fire and Sword. I played the demo, it seemed pretty janky but it has a charm and physicality to it that I really enjoyed.

Yes or no?

I think most M&B fans will point you in the direction of Warband over Fire & Sword. But don't take my word for it, there are a few diehard M&B fans here that can provide you with some fairly in-depth opinions.

im looking for 1360x768, but still i dont even have the option to choose those

You could try to fix this by editing the config.cfg file (something like: r_mode -1 / r_customheight 768 & r_customwidth 1366). I don't know how it'll work out, but good luck.
