Does Fallout New Vegas have that slow down problem every time you trigger VATS like Fallout 3 had on PC?

Looking at Bully as well, I'm not sure how good of a port that is.

Doom 3 is good, but then again, I love old school dark corridor type shooters set on Mars with
The Devil
as the final boss.

Not every time but it will occasionally happen.

Just one question does the second copy of Frozen Synapse expire? I'll still get it anyways I just can't imagine giving it away anytime in the near future.

No way it expires. You're buying two keys. You can keep both of them for as long as you want. ;p

Getting Alpha Protocol. Anyone wanna weigh in on Bully? I never did play it on consoles.. heard mixed things. Super cheap though so probably will bite but would love some impressions.

Bully runs and plays great on the PC. Works beautifully with the 360 controller and never had so much as a hint of a problem playing it. Lots of fun, great soundtrack and is absolutely mandatory for anyone who likes sandbox games at that price.

This is getting weirder all the time

I had hope with the first four days of the sale being of no interest to me that I'd be able to make it through the sale without buying anything. But I got hit hard today.

Frozen Synapse
Trine
Bionic Commando Rearmed
Singularity or Alpha Protocol (haven't been able to make up my mind between these two yet)

I can vouch for Singularity, I haven't played Alpha Protocol but it's definitely more divisive

You mean the Cyberdemon aka, the Doom 1 boss. The devil isn't in the game.

Wait.. Alpha Protocol doesn't have gamepad support? Good thing I looked before I purchased.
...it does. Perfect for the 360 pad.

What Stumpokapow said. Is my favourite Rockstar game (havent played RDR although Ive played a little of it in some of my friends houses).
Its intimate, but there are so many surprises to be had. And also the story itself is really fun at start and gets pretty epic at the end, much better that any GTA story.
What brings every season to the game is great, in graphics (snow and christmas feel in winter) to playability (Halloween day in autumn is great).
And the music is godly, the bycicle theme will be stuck in your head forever.

why did they decide to region lock some games today?

i bought bully on the rockstar sale some time ago, and now it's no longer available for my region. i don't really care, but this is a bad precedent. every game that does this pisses me off.

i know people who want to buy indigo prophecy too, and now it's also region locked. alpha protocol as well though i don't know anyone interested in it

fuck this shit, region locking needs to die

First sales day without a purchase for me. Glad I got Men of War Squad Assault right before the sales updated.

Was interested in RUSE but price is still too high, hopefully it will be down to £5 during winter sales :)

The good thing about buying Alpha Protocol for PC is that you can tweak some things that (at least for me) made the game more enjoyable.

Probably getting Serious Sam though.

Alpha Protocol is mine, but now I'm debating between Serious Sam, Singularity, and Frozen Synapse. Help me decide! I'm an FPS fan, but have been a little burned out lately. I already picked up Bioshock 2 this sale. I might be more interested in Frozen Synapse, though I'm not quite sure what the game is like. I wish there was a demo, as I typically don't play strategy games.

Frozen Synapse!

Its not a 'strategy game'. Its a top-down strategy shooter. Like Rainbox 6, but top-down, taking 5 second turns which play out simutaneously.

Check it out on youtube and don't let it intimidate you, planning turns is very fast and easy, doesn't take long to pick up.

I tried out a friend's copy of Frozen Synapse and was actually really turned off by it. I'm glad I didn't buy it when I was considering it and I'm not going to buy it now.

Still hoping for Gratuitous Space Battles and AI War to go on sale. Love me some space games, especially ones that run on a Mac.

Okay, good. For some reason, the only icon on the game page is "Single-Player."

Yeah, just a hair too much. It looks interesting and I like supporting new ips but opinions are soooo mixed. Wasn't hard to talk myself out of it.

Frozen Synapse and Alpha Protocol for me today. Couldn't resist and broke my max one game per day rule. So altogether:

SpaceChem
HL complete
Defence Grid: The Awakening
Frozen Synapse
Alpha Protocol

total 21,56.-

And still 6 days coming.

Does the Steam version of Doom 3 work with the retail copy of Resurrection of Evil? (don't ask)
Doubtful. It probably won't recognize the Steam Doom 3.

Meh. It might as well be. lol
They are located in Texas, Id is pushing it even by including hell. They don't need conservatives with guns finding out they made a game with the devil.

Also, since we're talking about Alpha Protocol, I should post this video:

Michael Thorton, Psychopath. (might want to close it 2 minutes in if you're sensitive to spoilers)

The neat thing about that video is that I never experienced any of that when I played AP. I chose to play as a suave smartass rather than a sadistic dick. The way you deal with people can alter the course of the game.

I think I´ll just get Alpha Protocol, I´m starting a backlog thanks to the UK bombas and Steam. Anything above 5€ I won´t buy except for a few select games.

I´d buy M&B if the characters were less ugly, The Witcher 2 spoiled me. I want outstanding looking knights and Doppelsöldner D:

Screw it, Singularity is mine. Now to decide if I want to buy Vegas from Best Buy or not.

Best Buy. It's a Steamworks game so your retail PC retail copy will still register on Steam.

Excellent game, one of the very finest of its type. Great mission design, gorgeous world, and one thing that's really great is that the scale is a little smaller than most open world games so you really get to intimately know the world and how it flows together. Very memorable world design. Lots of content, and the collectathon stuff that you expect from a GTA is there but a little more minimal. And the soundtrack is killer. Heavy on bass, almost bordering on funk.

I haven't played the PC version although people tell me that since the patch it works fine, but if you're just looking for an opinion on the game, I can't recommend it highly enough.
Nice sell, I'll have to give it a shot for $3.74.

Bought Trine. I mean, at £1.69 you kind of can't leave it there. Heard it's pretty awesome too so that's always a plus.

It does. Plays exactly like the 360 version with a wired 360 controller except it looks better.

Stump sold me during the Winter sale and I'm glad I did. I rarely finish Rockstar games, but I did with Bully. A very fun game and different ways to be a deviant compared to the GTA games.
