I've only spent $23.85 so far.

Seriously, it's like "OHH $5! OHH! $10! I've paid $60 for games that just shits/sits on my HDD/Shelf and these games are actually more interesting than those!" *adds to cart*

Repeat process around 20 times and you get where I am. I've gone all-in, might as well continue and won't need to make any purchase in Christmas cause technically it'll be the exact same titles getting discounts. (better discounts, mind you but still discounts).

My exams finish today at noon. What sucks is that I am moving in a few days (hopefully by the end of Steam sale) and will have no internet access for atleast a week or so.

Question: How the hell does Steam Offline Mode works? Do you have to be connected to log in and then log out to Offline mode or you can just save your password and it'll automatically sense no connection and boot you to offline mode? I need my one week of gaming. My PS3 is already packed and Uncharted Beta misses me. Don't die on me, Steam!

P.S. Anyone has a spare copy of Homefront and is willing to gift/trade/sell? I have, so far, all the tickets and now I have this urge to get them all like pokemon but Homefront if EXPENSIVE for it's own good and is annoying me.

Yeah, that's true. I personally have never had issues (outside of one instance) with automatic Offline Mode but I also leave Steam and my computer on pretty much 24/7.

But I know lots of other people have had issues with Offline Mode because they don't. And my one instance was involving my laptop which usually is booted into Ubuntu instead of Windows so Steam was out of touch I guess.

It's worth noting you want to use the "Go Offline..." option under "Steam" not just setting the Friends list to offline. (Which the "Offline" for the tray icon does.)

Bully is fine, if you tweak it abit. Just dont use an Xbox controller (it has deadzone issues) and you can unlock the 30FPS cap and make it 60FPS locked with a patch.

Plays like a dream here at 60FPS. You have to V-sync it though because unlocking the 30fps cap makes it run super-fast.

Nope sorry. It worked the other day cuz I got access to the levels and promptly unsubed from the group. I know that doesnt help you much, but at least we know it was working at one point and likely to be working in the future.

Bully got fixed up, it was basically unplayable at launch because it'd crash every 20 minutes no matter what, but because of the circumstances I mentioned before (ported to a new engine, then to 360, then six months later to PC) the fact it's not much worse than most 360 ports says a lot.

Even if some consider it less then stellar, for 5, it's worth it.

Mind you there are plenty who liked it a lot too. I snapped it up. Less risk than buying it the first day at full price.

I don't have any control issues with my official MS branded wired 360 controller. I just tested it in game, everything was fine.

I played through it with the official 360 wireless controller and had zero issues.

Considering more than 1 person has mentioned problems, though, I wonder if the latest 360 controllers have changed hardware and introduced some weird glitch. But the older controllers, at least, should absolutely work perfect. Seems weird they all wouldn't either.

It's a great game but it does take a while to get started.

In the future it will happen. You can't argue with the price considering you get a 2nd copy to trade or gift to someone! I found a nice user who gave me L4D AND CS:S. So for 12.49 I got 3 games. I mean, the game is originally priced at 24!
