I edited that message. The Sims 3 is today -72% so anything can still happen.JaskoX1 said:Damn. Actually saw ME2 on D2D for 11.99...
AA; damn that graple and glide was sick.

Agreed. The fighting combat is some of the best and most fluid combat this gen. So damn good. It also does stealth right and has a great story.LiK said:Batman AA is amazing and the demo is kinda shit.

If anyone wants a HoMM-esque game, I could recommend Disciples 2. The entire package costs 6 (-50%, but you have to buy the two pieces separately) and is one of the most excellent games in the genre and has content for literally months of gameplay.Sgt.Pepper said:King's Bounty is pretty tempting, however I'm still hoping on Terraria being a daily deal, and I know King's Bounty isn't coming back on Sunday. Don't trust this Goblin! Disciples not even close to be a HoMM-esque game.szaromir said:If anyone wants a HoMM-esque game, I could recommend Disciples 2.
The word on the street is that the game sucked, the AI was totally passive and the campaign mode was broken. Apparently Napoleon was a much better, so I wouldn't get Empire even at that low price point.Petrie said:I know it isn't on sale on steam, but D2D has Empire: Total War on sale for like $6 and it's a steamworks title, so I'm wondering if it's worth picking up. How complicated is it? The videos look cool, but don't tell me a whole lot about the game, but I'm definitely interested.
It is, come on.Don't trust this Goblin! Disciples not even close to be a HoMM-esque game.
It still blows my mind that Uncharted 2 beat it. Greatest robbery of our time.ShockingAlberto said:Arkham Asylum was legitimately one of the best games of 2009.
I only say one of because, while I would place it above Uncharted 2, I am in the minority.

And the map designers are absolute masters of atmosphere. I just like being in the Killing Floor maps. Shooting a bunch of murderous zeds with awesome weapons is just a sweet goddamned perk!jambo said:Best pistols in any game, ever.

And, if you care about such things, it's a good company to support. Regular updates, community map packs are routinely updated into the game, developers (tripwire) are always in contact with the community, etc.
It's also a UT2004 engine game so it will run well on older systems. And it has a metal soundtrack.![]()

Does Steam sell many other GFW games?
I can see it going in the direction of being legitimately fun when you've moved on to a new set of gear - right now it feels like I'm the kid in a Nerf commercial with the little gun being shot by the kid with the big gun. There seems to be a shitload of things to collect and assemble in interesting ways, too. I'm hoping that the levels get a little more varied as you move down the tiers.Flunkie said:Spiral Knights is kind of.. addicting? I don't know. Maybe I'll not feel that way after I get the ticket.

Just as a warning, I bought that last sale and I could not, for the life of me, get it to work on Windows 7 (64-bit). Tried every fix I could find via Google to no avail (even went so far as to reformat at try again on a clean install). Just refused to run.szaromir said:If anyone wants a HoMM-esque game, I could recommend Disciples 2. What's your Steam ID? And I'd like to be set up in that guild if you ever get back to playing.Teknoman said:Yeah its pretty cool for a free game. We have a guild set up, but I havent been online in awhile...so i'm not sure if its still together. Game controls better with a controller too.

Try this? I haven't fired it up yet, but reports indicate that it makes it a shitload better.zazrx said:I can safely say that I wasted my money on Transformers, was going through it with a friend and yeah.... game looks like shit and is not very fun. I will try and beat it though since I already spent the money on it. Of all the games I have bough during this sale, that is the only purchase I regret.

MisterAnderson said:When I logged on to see the new round of Steam Summer achievements I saw one on the bottom (the freebee one) that said "upload a video to Steam" or something. I got home from work just before and went to check out the achievements again to see what to tackle first, and that video upload one is nowhere to be found... am I missing something?
It took me about 2 hours, but that was because I wasn't really focused on getting the achievement, but understanding how the game worked.jling84 said:Anyone know how long it takes to get the achievement for the ticket from the time you start the game for the first time?
The fps unlocker is a awesome. Game runs 60 frames solid on my gtx 260.Shaneus said:Try this? I haven't fired it up yet, but reports indicate that it makes it a shitload better.

Better make up your mind then, pretty sure D2D changes their deals an hour before steam.ATF487 said:direct2drive has Fallout 3: GOTY for 9.85....tempting, I want it on steam but if it's not on sale tomorrow I might buy it from d2d

Probably should've went to Advanced Training first, as that would've taught me a lot that I spent educating myself on.
From what I was reading, you can't use modifiers. I have to restart again too (and I just got all the cool stuff). You can always just reset the stage or restart the campaign if they give you really crappy deployments.SalsaShark said:hate to quote myself but:
