From what I was reading, you can't use modifiers. I have to restart again too (and I just got all the cool stuff). You can always just reset the stage or restart the campaign if they give you really crappy deployments.

yeah but i didnt knew that if you forfit the thing you were done with the month

i picked a crappy one to try to get the 100 survivors

and thanks! loving the game

Just as a warning, I bought that last sale and I could not, for the life of me, get it to work on Windows 7 (64-bit). Tried every fix I could find via Google to no avail (even went so far as to reformat at try again on a clean install). Just refused to run.

Made me angry because, damn, I love that series (well, if we pretend Disciples 3 doesn't exist...).
Really? That's a shame. I installed my retail copies (both Return of Gallean and Rise of the Elves) from 2002-2003 last night and the game works perfectly on W7 64bit. There's always GOG version if anyone's interested and it should work flawlessly.

Batman AA is amazing and the demo is kinda shit. it was my GOTY beating out Uncharted 2.

They did a damn good job with the PC port too. Usual performance sapping effects like SSAO and PhysX run great in this game on my geforce 460.

Better make up your mind then, pretty sure D2D changes their deals an hour before steam.
I think they change it at the same time. 10AM PST.

I got most of the trophies on the PS3 version. I bought the PC version (since it was $6 on gamersgate) and will 1000g it when I get the time.

They really did. There are some developers that really do a good job with the PC versions. Meanwhile there are some that outsource the PC versions and boy does it show. This one if I remember right was done in house. That's probably why it was so well done.

What's your Steam ID? And I'd like to be set up in that guild if you ever get back to playing.

Teknoman, looks like I added you to my friend list from awhile back. More guild info should be in the OT.

It still blows my mind that Uncharted 2 beat it. Greatest robbery of our time.
Not really, Uncharted 2 is better. Batman is a good game, it's gotten all the praise it has because it's the first superheroes/Batman game that didn't suck and got it right.

EDIT: Greatest robbery IMO would be CoD games winning all sorts of awards, not CoD4 though, that one is awesome.

Looking at the Far Cry pack. How are these games? Seems like a good deal.

they're polarizing but people who like them love them. the PC versions are superior. and the PC version of FC2 allows you to do quick saves which makes them less frustrating compared to the console versions, from what i read.

couldn't agree more. the riddler fetch quest, and lack of co-op or mp is what knocked it down below uncharted 2 for me as goty.

Wait... there's a quick save on the PC? How did I not know that? Gave up on the game after being killed by the same group of soldiers while traveling, five times in a row.

A lot of people loath Far Cry 2, and I can see why, but I loved it. Its got structural and pacing issues mostly. Lots of travelling, respawning enemy patrolled checkpoints, and fairly bland missions.

But I love the setting and atmopshere, and quite enjoy the weight and feel of the guns. Plus the little things like having to travel, the map being an item rather than something on the HUD, and healing your injuries. Its got a good 'survival' feel to it.

Batman AA is an alltime classic, one of the 2 games in which I ADORE the stealth, the other is Uncharted 2.

UC2 is better though. Ain't be no shame in that though!

yea, supposedly this was what saved the game for a few folks who are defenders of it. not sure if it merits praise for a function that should've been checkpoints in the console versions but it seems to keep the game from being too frustrating on the PC at least.

Spiral Knights is kind of.. addicting? I don't know. Maybe I'll not feel that way after I get the ticket.

Yeah I've been playing it with a few friends on and off for the last week.

I really like it. Which surprises me because I thought it was going to be some crappy MMO (I don't play MMOs). This game is more like Phantasy Star Online since it has real time battles and you only see big groups of people in the hub world. The actual dungeon exploring is a small group of four that you have to work together with for puzzles and combat. And the combat is real time.

I also like the aesthetic. It's like Zelda meets Bomberman in high resolution (if you turn up the settings).

I was also suprised about how varied the levels and enemies become. There is some pretty cool stuff on the deeper levels.

Is there a way to make a folder the only thing that shows up as an alternate track location in Beat Hazard? I indexed and it found the tracks fine but then if I move to folders to get the Beat Hazard tracks, the shit gets all crazy when I try to go back and has me navigating from fucking C:/. What the fuck? I want two folders. One standard BH songs and one for the shit I imported.

Here's what's happening: http://steamcommunity.com/id/aselith/screenshot/559787428475285230

What the shit?

My Music is not where I have my music and it's also not the folder I fucking indexed!

Thanks for the info everyone. Went ahead and got the pack. I don't know when I'll get around to playing them though. I have so many games now that it'll take me a while to get through all of them. I guess I have Steam to thank for that.

Probably discussed earlier... but, does Activision know what a sale means? Batman is selling for half the price of Prototype despite releasing a year later. No way am I paying $15 for it. What the hell you stingy bastards!

its not my first steam sale but is the first time that i actually have more than 30 dollars to spend. following the first rule of steam sales is godlike, you cant lose that way. kinda sucked that i didnt grab civ 5 for $11 and steam didnt match the price. anybody getting lp2 even though the price sucks? if so tell me so that i dont play it alone

hope to get some games with gaf eventually

add me http://steamcommunity.com/id/tobe_101

should i repost this on the real steam OT?

The last act of Cold Stream should be titled: "COLD STREAM OF BOOMER BILE YOU'RE COVERED IN IT THE WHOLE TIME YOU'RE GOING TO DIE AND NOW YOU'RE DEAD"

Quick question.

If I want to back up my games, is it best to use the official back up and do each game separately or just copy the steam folder with them all in?

Is the difference the fact that saves are copied in the official backup?

I've got over 65hrs invested in the first King's Bounty game and I'm still going strong. What an awesome game and I highly recommend it.

Anybody want to let me borrow a Firecrack to get this Spiral Knights achievement? I'm just not into playing this type of game right now, it pales compared to Torchlight.

You guys are all really weak I only bought four games so far. Darksiders, Medal of Honor (wish I hadn't), Assassin's Creed II Deluxe Edition and BioShock 2. I'm thinking about Batman Arkham Asylum GOTY Edition.

i don't think batman mp would have worked well, but imagine a whole side of co-op ala splinter cell conviction, where batman and robin have a bunch of "missions" involving stealth and taking out baddies. i'm hoping the leaked images for AC
robin info
is leading to that.

and uncharted 2 was a wayyyy better game then anything else that came out that year. to say batman was my #2 is a huge compliment.

So, while Hot Pursuit is fun solo, I really want to add some friends to make the Autolog experience complete. If you're playing the PC version, add me!

So I hate comic books, but I have a hard on have a strong appreciation for Ken Levine and Irrational's other work.

Should I check out Freedom Force?

I can't believe this thread is tempting me to buy King's Bounty. I already bought the Heroes V pack so it'll sort of feel weird having 2 somewhat similar games that I had no intention of getting before the sale. All because I liked HoMM3 at one point in my life.

Yet it's so cheap.

If you like video games, yes.
