We got over most of the "always on Steam sales" stuff, best part starts now.

Except for Mafia II and Supreme Commander 2, wich will probably be there tomorrow.

More people need to buy SupCom2. It´s a great. Not perfect, but great.

Supcom 1 is better, 2 is like a 'lite' version of 1. I still enjoyed it though, was expecting more :(

Might be so, but SupCom2 has many nice things that Supcom1 doesn´t have, and is a really fun game on it´s own. People who need a new RTS should buy it if it´s on sale for 5€.

Anyone else having the hardest time getting a 'Top 10 Wishlist' together?
Also only thing I'm missing is Alpha Protocol, wasn't in my region (South Africa).
Is it possible to gift the game to someone in another region? Or is that frowned upon?

Yep definitely worth it for a low price, I did enjoy some of the larger scale units in this game.

Second summer sale :p
Didn't buy anything at full price heh.
Now here's a fun tidbit, I have a 2mb line. At its best, I get about 140-150 KB/S from steam.
During the summer sales (and TF2 that went free) I average around 30-40.

Might take awhile to get most, if not all of these games :p

It's not as ambitious as SupCom1 but it still kicks most modern RTS games up and down the street. Particularly titles like C&C4.

well that was a bit of a bitch
but got the cheevo

also this is easily my second favorite game from the sales behind Frozen Synapse. Get it while you still can people, if you dont get it then the game says it best:

we used to play with AcridMeat
we need to get back on that

Enjoying the game. Just don't like the idea of random squads. My first level 4 infection I only had the chopper, barricades, landmines, bait. Failed it so badly, next month three level 4s :<

Nice game though, played it this morning with the example mod (edited it a bit to allow more than one squad per type).

2 infantry squads completely balanced it for me ... until super zombies :S

Nine out of ten orphans can't tell the difference.
So what do ya'll think of Gratuitous Space Battles? Is the complete pack worth 10 euro?

Played Atom Zombie Smasher for about 5 minutes. It was enough for me to realise to it is the coolest fucking game ever. It is better than me in so many ways.

Got the ticket first try on Zombie Smasher. All but one saved and I'm about 500+ up in my game.

*Does a Dempsey roll*

It's okay. I prefer Defense Grid, but I can see why people like this one too. Constantly having to reposition everything.

Problem is I already got everything I could use on the Ticket thing... So now it would have to be for questionable future purchases. So basically X3 or Assault Squad

Yes! Finally got my internet back. Almost had a heartattack that my modem had to die during steam sales. D:

Anyway I'm a bit confused. I want to pick up King's Bounty, but I remember reading something about one version simply being a more expanded version of another? So which ones do I pick up or should I just go for the platinum edition anyway?

Also any of Killing Floor's DLC actually worth it? They seem to be just character skins in a FPS? Though I guess it's only 2 more for the whole pack...

I'm still on the fence on Atom Zombie Smasher. Is it a tower defense-esque game?

somewhat i guess, it's kind of a set up your pieces and see how it plays out, its pretty unique and awesome

also JAMESTOWN, sooooooo good

How is everybody doing on tickets? I am two away from having all of the prizes I wanted. In addition to what's show here, I bought the Magicka DLC as well and I'm planning on getting the Beat Hazard Gold Ship last. Anything past that I'm going to be just be grabbing anything that I might have interest in later. Delve Deeper maybe?

Hmmm... what to get today?

Jamestown seems like a goer, hereing positive stuff, and looks kind of cute.

Think I'm going to give Kings Bounty a bit of a miss... can grab it at a later point I guess... but was a big fan of the original on the Amiga... will I like?

Not sure about Atom Zombie Smashers... seems like a love it/hate it thing... but I guess I'll find out shortly.

Seems like I've been spending ~$5 everyday of the sale. Probably going to pickup Atom Zombie Smasher and Rush today.
Then let them rot in my backlog.

Anyone wanna help me with the Alien Breed co-op achieve? haha

Alien Breed co-op can be done offline. Play single-player and finish the first three chapters and you should get it.

I did it the old fashion way though. Found a really good coop partner. If it doesn't unlock in single-player, I can be your coop partner.

That said: I REFUSE TO PAY FOR HOMEFRONT! (Unless someone gifts/sells it to me for cheap).

I stuck to the rule (as far as this contest goes) that I wouldn't buy a game solely for the purpose of getting tickets, I'd have to like it too. Luck would have it that I already owned many of the games from the frosty winter '10 Steam sale.

I've got 13 tickets. And lots I can't be motivated to get even though I wouldn't have to buy anything.

Doesn't help that I've got 4 tickets waiting to claim a prize and I don't want anything. Not even Alien Breed can tempt me. Sure, it's free, but I won't play it and it'll be forever in my library. That's not "free."

The pellets are losing their effect on this hamster. Valve is going to have to step up their game and make the drawings exciting so I'm actually motivated to try. Give us lottery numbers and broadcast that drawing, Valve.

I stuck to this rule as well. I ended up buying Toki Tori, SpaceChem, Magicka, Defense Grid, Beat Hazard and Rush so far for tickets, but most of them were already on my wishlist. There were a couple that weren't but I have been happy with all of my purchases still.
