Hmm ...

I've only bought sets of games once every day during the steam sales. So why am I getting this?

"Your purchase has not been completed. Your credit card information has been declined by your credit card company.

Note that in some cases, your credit card company may put a 'hold' on funds in your account, but you will not be charged. After correcting any errors in the information displayed below, please try your purchase again."

?

Don't for a second tell me I'm going to miss out on todays deals.

"Suspicious" credit card activity? My guess is your CC company put a hold on your card because you were making so many purchases. That's why you should use Steam Wallet.

How are the Command and Conquer 3/Red Alert 3 games? Which ones are worth getting?

Oh geez, I didn't realize they tucked Red Alert 3 in there. How is that?

how is Red Alert 3's campaign? don't care about mp.
I am a huge fan of Red Alert 3, I say the campagin is very fun (i personally don't play mp at all).

Get it, very good and fun game!

Any secrets to getting the "Movie Night" achievement? Cant seem to get it to register
Make sure you actually download it, not watch it on the page. Download it and then watch it through the Media section of the Library. Worked first time for me.

I still liked Tiberian Sun for the story and the crazy units and whatnot (I had a lot of fun with Firestorm back in the day) but it was easily one of the most disappointing entries in the series. CNC4 is an abomination though, avoid at all costs if you're a Command and Conquer fan.
Sorry chap, but to me 3rd is the same shit, but different taste.

Thank you. I guess I need to think it over. I normally don't mind DRM as long as there is a way to revoke or if activations are renewed after so long. Not being able to seems like such a slap in the face.
If your concern is ethical then obviously it's up to you, but if it's practical then I'll argue that once you beat it you won't feel the need to reinstall it ever again. There are a few ways of playing the game but you'll likely get enough of a taste of each when you play it. Plus the final third is pretty meh (although by then you should be able to power through it).

Basically it's great once through but I have no desire to ever play it again and I don't think there's any sort of mod community.

So, how about the expansions--Kane's Wrath and Uprising--for C&C3 and Red Alert 3 respectively? Should I just stick with the base games?

My friend just pointed out that Lara Croft's visible foot is the wrong one too.

Here I was thinking "Hey, that's a pretty cool picture". Now all I can see is feet.

Good enough, thanks! Expansion worth it? I notice it didn't do so hot on metacritic and there's no combo pack.

Call your CC company and ask them why it was declined. And tell them the charges from Steam are legitimate.

I say stick with the base game (in regard to Red Alert 3). I personally didn't play or get Uprising because of the word of mouth, but Red Alert 3 is pretty awesome to skip imo.

Cool, thanks...will skip expansion but I'm gonna dig into RA3. I've always wanted to play them all in order but I'm just not a big enough C&C fan to do it. I don't think I've ever finished a C&C campaign, and I've owned 1/2 and RA1 in the past. But I'd like to get the full experience on at least one of 'em.
