£15 for Dead Rising 2... lol Capcom. Most new PC games are barely more expensive that that AT LAUNCH over here. This is the Summer sale Capcom, if this is the best you can offer, don't bother next time.

As for Street Fighter IV, that's just a laughable discount, I'm 99% sure it was £7.50 last summer. A year has passed and the price has *increased*.

Having got that off my chest... Risen for me today. Want Worms Reloaded, hopefully it goes on daily deal soon.

What makes C&C 4 so bad? Totally not worth playing or worth checking out for $4?
Last I played, it wasn't balanced for the style of gameplay they were going for, and I think they fired the devs instead of fixing it. There's also the fact that World in Conflict makes C&C4 completely unnecessary.

Worth it? extra 2.49 over CSS, heard bad things about 1.6 community
worth it for DoD

DO I GET TALES OF VALOR OR NOT, OH GREAT GAF? OR DO I GET CoH AND THE FIRST EXPANSION?

No.

Playing RPG´s are better than just buying new ones.

heh. solid point. I'll probably pass on risen, finish witcher 1, then witcher 2, then a TES IV run thru (modded, never modded b4), play thru batman AA...always

by then skyrim will probably be out, so.... yeah

Oh and lol at Capcom prices. I really wanted Dead Rising 2 but $20? Come on! Looks like I survived another day of sales.

If your concern is ethical then obviously it's up to you, but if it's practical then I'll argue that once you beat it you won't feel the need to reinstall it ever again. There are a few ways of playing the game but you'll likely get enough of a taste of each when you play it. Plus the final third is pretty meh (although by then you should be able to power through it).

Basically it's great once through but I have no desire to ever play it again and I don't think there's any sort of mod community.

That's a pretty good point and even playing it once I'm sure I'll get my $10 out of it.

Guys, are the catalogs worth the money? Only one that has my attention is the THQ pack because I'm interested in some of the games and I wouldn't mind trying some of the others out. Plus I've always wondered about those Warhammer games. $50 is a good chunk of cash but that is a lot of games for that price. As far as today's sales, meh...

At least DR2 is still relevant. It's just absurd that they are trying to sell the original Street Fighter IV for $15 when the new version just game out.

Hmm any one have any info on World in Conflict?? Is it worth both games for $14.99?
It's an amazing tactical RTS. Incredibly gorgeous and fast paced. One of the best ever made. Ubi likes to act like it doesn't exist though.

imagine getting stuck somewhere without the units that you need while getting pounded by the strongest units the AI can use and you cannot outproduce them because everyone has the same buildcap.
Even when you only have to deal with units and replacing lost units, the aim of 'Dawn of War' type flow is not to be found in C&C4 thanks to the persistent stats which unlock units (yes, you read that right) as you go up in level, but doesn't give a fuck what level everyone else is.

It's an RTS with Call of Duty syndrome and quite horrid with it. Also, the fiction is schizhofrenic. First, it tells you the world is doomed. Then it continues to show you merry sights of green lands and other clearly nowhere near 'doomed' sights.
It has "rushed" written on it like few things do.

C&C3 is far more enjoyable, even with the franchise problem of 'tank rush, repeat, repeat again'.

Oh FFS Risen went up? Stupid publishers, do you not want money?

It's 10$ and it's an amazing rpg. I paid 30$ for it and it was worth every penny, even if Risen isn't AS discounted as it was earlier, it's still a fantastic deal.

The thirty minutes I have put into it were enjoyable but bland. I intend to return and put some real time into it but it's pretty far down the list.

I wonder if Capcom of America has to ask Capcom of Japan what they want the sale prices to be.

SFIV for $15 makes no sense. If it were $2 - $4, people would buy it cheap and maybe like it and consider getting SSFIVAE for full price.

But nope, Capcom isn't thinking even vaguely longterm. Despite the fact that no one is probably buying SFIV now, they only see it as free $15 if someone is dumb enough to get it.

The price rise on Risen is lame as hell. They'll kill off so many of their sales because of that.

$10 for one of the best RPG's released in years is a fine price. It's not like it's a small game.

Yeah I'm still buying it, it's just the principle of something being on sale for cheaper that's annoyed me. Ah well.

Are you trying to gift something? This happened to me when I tried to gift something a few days ago, but it eventually worked.

It could also be that you've been making a lot of small Steam purchases and they've stopped authorizing your card...one call should fix that. That's why after you've done a sale or two you just use the Steam wallet.

Their launch prices are oddly great, though. Dead Rising 2 was 40 bucks on PC when it came out.

Would of bought Dead Rising if priced correctly. Funny that I will probably buy 2 titles that I wouldn't of normally, Fate of the World and Delve Deeper. Their existence on the prize board got me to do some research and they both look like something I can get into.

For those worried about the Risen DRM, it's pretty trivial to get around. Just download the game, then download the crack before launching the game, and voila, you haven't used an activation. I believe this would also work if you've used up all your activations. I had to do this when they ran out of keys during last years sale and it took less than 2 minutes of effort to get it to work.

I bought WiC Complete for $10 in a previous sale. It might have gone lower than that since then.

I'd wait. Might well show up in one of the daily sales either during this or the Christmas sale.
