It's a good game, I have a lot of fun with it. Besides, it costs more to buy a meal at Subway, whats to regret? If you only play it for 1-2 hours you got your monies worth for that price, and I played it quite a bit more than that :)

Rift is a nice MMO if you're looking for something similar to WoW, but with a new world to explore. The exploration based achievements are pretty cool, too.

Balance is probably pretty poor, as people have said, but your leveling experience should be enjoyable.

So I finally downloaded L4D2, and I'm really happy with how it looks. I had only ever seen it on 360 before now and it was quite ugly. I'm running it maxed out at 2560x1440 (not sure what FPS as I'm on the Mac side, does OSX have fraps?) and it's smooth as silk, and a lot better looking than I thought it would be. Loving it.

Play on medium so there are more colors and pick a really long song that moves slowly. Max out all 3 tracks with blocks then dodge everything so you don't kill the row. You have to stack the blocks in a way that 3 of a color never touch so they don't disappear. Playing on medium means more colors so it's easier to stack up all 3 tracks without accidentally matching 3 of a kind.

With your full 21 blocks, just cruise along the borders of the track until you see the red paint square and touch it, it'll turn all 21 blocks red, and you get the achievement.

I just played an easy song with the vegas bot. Wait to get a red paint powerup. And then fill the 3 meters. Then right click to paint them all red.

I'm really considering buying Rift (CE, even) and Risen... Not liking the fact that Risen uses Tages, though. Might get Cities XL 2011 instead.

I believe fraps is Windows only. However, you can find your framerate by going to the console (~) and typing "net_graph 1".

I've been trying to download Batman and each server I choose it starts out great around 1.5 but then just starts flatlining at 0 after like 30 seconds.

I think comcast is throttling me for the first time and I'm feeling violated :(

I didn't go in on a pack with any GAFfers. I got home from work, bought the Sanctum 4-pack and just gave the extra copies away. I'm sure other people saved money by pitching in on a 4-pack, that's simply not what I did.

As a character artist, one of the most embarrassing things that can happen to you is drawing two left feet or hands and having other people point it out to you. Happened once or twice in college and haven't been able to forget it but it's nice to see even artists at Valve have bad days.

I did it on a body map of somebody in my class last quarter.

Meaning that she volunteered to be "traced" onto a big piece of paper to start off the project.

Meaning that I, somehow, managed to fuck up where her thumbs and fingers were on a human sized art piece.

I have a feeling they must of uploaded a older revision of the art by accident. They seemed to fix the issue a bit quickly.

You're definitely being throttled. Comcast throttled me all the time for torrenting back when I used them. Nothing you can do but wait it out or call and bitch (and reset your modem and router and computer) until they unthrottle you.

Hurrah for regional monopolies.

I'd go with Longest Journey and Syberia. Still Life is pretty average compared to the other two

So I'm starting BioShock 2 and the hoops I have to jump through to get the thing working through GFWL is a pain in the ass. I will avoid GFWL like the plague now.

This may be terribly old news, but I just noticed that the Paradox Fantasy Pack is on for $8. It's not listed on the major packs list, and it deserves some attention.

It includes Majesty 2 and all of its expansions. Giant Bomb did a Quick Look of vanilla Majesty 2 here. Note: this is one of the best Quick Looks of all time. Jeff and Dave FTW!

Majesty 2 is awesome and worth the $8 alone.

On top of this, the original Majesty and all four of the Elven Legacy games are included. While I haven't tried them out yet, they're supposed to be pretty good strategy games. Nothing amazing, but certainly worth the miniscule amount of scratch that this pack is asking for.

I've played a number of GFWL games and for some reason BioShock 2 was the only one to give me trouble.

I have 39 Games that are unfinished (played but not beaten)
I have 34 Games that I have yet to play.
I have 9 Games which don't count due to being purely online

I have 14 Games which I have played but can't or will not be beaten (either games which have no finite ending Civ, etc or games for which I prefer not caring about the campaign and just playing random maps)

I have 9 Games which I consider quick plays

I have 25 games which I am finished with (either beaten of done playing for the foreseeable future)

I have 5 games I dislike or not care enough about to ever finish. (fuck Bioshock, I despise that game) Also Speedball 2 is quite possibly the worst game I've ever received for free.

I have 5 games which are uncategorized.

Ok this is really pissing me off now. The damn thing basically downloaded my profile 3 times now and won't let me play the game. It just crashed! Wtf.
