Woah just noticed that Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath is only $3.49! I'm picking this up NOW and installing when the HD pack is released sometime later this year.

Today I purchased:

BIT TRIP RUNNER
And Yet it Moves
Dark Void Zero

All for a grand total of $8.84. There's gonna be nothing left on my wish list after the Summer Sale haha

It might be too late, but stop. Right now.

Go and look up the myriad of bugs and boot issues the game has on PC and decide if you're willing to take the risk/support such practices.

By the way - if anyone who already owns Portal 2 buys the Valve Complete pack I might be interested in buying Portal 2 from you. Send me a PM if interested.

Going to bed now.

Shit, it's been six, seven months, and there's still problems?

...YEAH THAT'S RIGHT, I BARELY TOUCHED THE GAME SINCE I BOUGHT IT. :(

The achievement didn't take that long to get. The potatoes involved were so much more tedious.

Was anyone planning on getting Lead and Gold and Bit Trip Beat and wouldn't mind paypal'ing me instead of paying Steam? I went to buy them as a gift for my brother and it errored out and I bought two of each. I'd rather just sell them to someone than go through Steam support and try to get a refund. It would be $4 total.

Mostly fixed, unless you have an ATI card, then the water textures are still messed up.

Hmm. I'm tempted to make the small purchases like X2/X3 pack and BIT.TRIP, but these things can rack up quite the price.

Question: I want to pick up both Russian Witcher 2 and BttF, but it'll drain my budget pretty fast. If I have to pick up one of the two, which of the two is the one I can hold of longest of purchasing? Also: Is Russian witcher actually russian in language or english? :S

Anyone?

Man I'm doing a pretty good job so far at keeping my wallet cool. I might make it through this sale alive.

To add: Which X2/X3 games are recommended? Do I either buy X3 Gold pack or the X2/X3 pack.

It'd be funny if there was a seperate must-not fap style contest thread every time there is a steam sale. Instead of not fapping, the winner would be the one who was able to hold out and not buy anything. Then when the day finally came when Bloodlines was like $5 every one would post I'm out seinfeld gifs.

For anyone on the fence, Reccatear is actually pretty fun. It starts off pretty slow, with way too much dialogue before gameplay starts, but it's pretty fun once you get into it.

If you buy one of the packages, but have some of the games already can you gift the games in the package you already own to someone?

Don't buy X2 or X1 unless you want to support the devs.

X3: Terran Conflict is the best one. Just buy that one. You're not missing anything that TC doesn't already have. There are no "real" stories to speak of, it's a series of Sandbox games and the only thing the other games give you is shittier graphics with worse control/ui schemes

Kind of want that THQ pack.

For now my only purchase is Borderlands GOTY for 7 bones. Feels. good.

That THQ pack is an awesome deal if don't have many or any of the games in it.

I've played JRPG's and WRPG's forever, the initial ramp up is to be expected. Some games like Suikoden V had ridiculously long openers but I still enjoyed. I love me some story.

I also want that Square Enix pack but I only want it for TLR. I already have JC2 and I don't want to blow a big chunk of change this early in the sale.

It was on sale for 50% off just a few weeks ago, that's when I picked it up.

There are missions to do I presume?

Bit.Trip Runner looks cool but there's something about watching the blocks you have to jump over scroll by.. it hurts my eyes after a while. It seemed to be a bit better with vsync off.

Yeah it happens with the PC version, its weird. You dont quite know where to look while youre playing since everything is blurry and kinda hurts the eye, lol. Something to do with the refresh rate of the monitor i guess. Vsync off helps a lot, although there's tearing.

Also i might be totally wrong, but i found it to be a liiiiittle less responsive than the wiiware version (playing with a dualshock 2), but probably that's just me not playing in a while.

There's missions to do yeah. If you want to use mods it disables achievements for the game, just to keep in mind. Mods are not needed the first time around however.

The missions are okay, they can give you good rewards or give rep with factions, and open up new paths in the story but the story is minor and (iirc) you can keep playing after beating it.

X3 is more like.....

Offline Space Sim Simulator version of EvE. It's not Freescape, not really.

I want to get a sick joystick and play it when I have some time.

X3 tends to have a rather high learning curve, btw.

It is the definition of a HORRIBLE port, stop while you still can!

nope. Its not that bad if you dont have an ATI card, it also got much better with updates

The oddbox is at 5 bucks and its a much better deal btw, but id rather wait for the last day.

Port is also gonna get better once the free High res update is out. Its a good buy.

Oddbox for $5, and I missed it the last time it was cheap, I know it might come down, but I'm so tempted to grab it now, having missed out on Stranger's.

(as someone who always grabs things on PC a year or so late to get them cheap, what's coming up that I should add to my wishlist in case I somehow do win?)

What's the consensus on Back to the Future? Worth it for $12?
Absolutely. It's worth it for the first 3 episodes alone. I'm on episode 4 in the PS3 version. It's a fans dream come true.

GAF.... I'm in trouble. I only have 8 games on my wishlist and ALL of them are on sale :)

Should I be getting Drakensang or Drakensang: The River of Time? Though I supposed I should wait to see if one becomes a daily deal since its on for a publisher sale till Jul 10th... but.... so hard to resist! Even though I don't even have time to PLAY it for at least a month :)

I couldn't disagree more. I found it repetitive and the puzzles weren't that interesting at all. Story was well written but couldn't make up for the issues I had with the game. The novelty will wear off after the first episode.

Tomorrow is my day off too. It looks like I may actually have 100 to spend when all is said and done. I've spent 20 thus far and will likely add another 25 next week. Still have 60 in wallet. I've held strong!

River of time is good, I don't know if the story from the first game matters

Gonna have to agree, the Sam and Max games are better "adventure games" in Telltale's library. Voices and setting aside, the puzzles aren't very fun if you're a fan of the genre.

Today I'll be picking up Aquaria for $5 and Oblivion: GOTY Edition for $8.50.

As much love as Recettear is getting, after checking out some gameplay videos, it just doesn't look like something I'd be into, though I do like the concept.

Luckily I put that it's a fans dream come true :p

The story is where's it's at. I'm definitely not claiming this as the definite TT experience but it's more than solid.

True, without spoiling anything, you revisit some of the same locales in the first 4 eps (haven't played the 5th) but the story is so good and compelling that you really don't think that it's getting respective. And each episode lets you visit different parts of the town which aren't open in the others so it kind of makes the episodes more worth looking forward to. Anyways, I paid the full price BUT for 12, it's a great price. I'd say it's worth 20.

I have 8 games in my wishlist and even a few of those were put there just to get numbers up.

What the shit does everyone have in their wishlist?

Same question. I'm adding things just in case I win, such as Saints Row The Third, but I have no idea what else to throw on there.
