ME1 is best enjoyed on PC anyways. I hate to be a snob, but goddamn. It's like a different game from the 360 version (I own, love, and have beaten both)
How is it different? Just better graphics?

I saw a boxed version of Splinter Cell collection yesterday for 10 euro's, that was not including Conviction.

Also I'll state again, if anybody wants to play css later I'm down! Steam name = MMaRsu

Regarding which version of CoH to get, and I tried finding an official word(no mention of it in their FAQ that I could see) but I hope this will have to do, considering your limited timeframe - http://www.companyofheroes.com/foru...pics/What-Version-of-Company-of-Heroes-to-Buy

I own all three myself, I've only played SP, but it seems that if you get Tales of Valor you'll have access to all factions and special units in MP. Even if you're missing out on the nice campaigns, ToV should work for your needs!

I'll send you a pm aswell so you won't miss it in the allotted time frame.

Thanks, I own them all, but with the special, I can get some friends to actually join in! Thanks again, bought!

ME1 and ME2 both have their downsides. Exploring the random planets in ME1 gets repetitive and kind of silly. A lot of the environments are re-used a lot. The story is better for sure.

ME2 has the planet scanning (ugh) and the story is presented in a very different fashion and doesn't really feel as tied to the gameplay.

I love both games, but they're pretty different. The look and feel and combat of ME2 are much improved, though. I would encourage anyone who hasn't played them both or hasn't played them on PC to pick them both up if the price is right.

So guys, what are we hoping/expecting for todays sale?
Hoping for Portal 2, I don't have enough to gift it to my friend (already sent her HL2 + Ep. 1), and we wanna play on PC together, so I'm hoping it's cheap enough for her to buy.

Fallout3 GOTY if the price is right, already played it on 360, but I'd double dip for $8 or less probably.

Any idea if Duke Nukem Forever will be on sale? Not for me, but a friend was hoping it would be. Seems like it kind of failed to meet expectations, I'm surprised it hasn't been up yet.

I don't think not being able to use a game pad would bother me too much. I mean I have a wired 360 controller to switch between my 360 and PC but honestly most of the time on PC i'm so comfortable with the keyboard.

Only game I don't use a keyboard for is Dirt 3.
I don't mind the keyboard either, but 3rd person games with a cover system never worked for me with a keyboard. I have trouble playing through the splinter cell games on the pc, because of the lack of controller options(for the older, yet better games). :| Still don't understand why bioware doesn't give the PC version 360 controller support. It can't be that hard.

Can't wait!! Was hoping it had some steam integration down the line when I bought the alpha, double dip confirmed!
Wonder if Project Zomboid is gonna keep the Minecraft model now if it's coming to Steam. I don't know about that, but I guess it's the only option I can think of for them after being hacked and pirated and having their money stolen. But it's still in Alpha right now so I doubt it'll even be available on Steam any time soon.

After loving Alan Wake, I'd love to give the Max Payne games a go. They're 33% off right now, but an even bigger saving would put the icing on the cake.

If Fallout 3 went super cheap, I might give that a try too.

Wow I could not be less interested. I already have all those...

Also reposting because no one seems to have noticed, its a fourty dollar game for free!

Arma 2 is free on Green Man Gaming!

Just use the code THESU-NFREE-ARMA2 here

site is getting hammered though

It can't be redeemed on steam.

Doesn't appear to be working now.

Edit: Actually. This just magically worked for me.

Still good and site is a bit better.

Don't buy the company of heroes bundle. Click 3 times and save $0.02 buying them individually lol. I'm going to jump in on the bundle since I lost my discs in a recent move.

Clicking two fewer times is well worth 2 cents to me.

What's the tipping point?

$19.99 would probably be a good price. $14.99 would probably be insta buy for me.

It's been on sale for 14.99 on other DD sites and went as low as $12.49 on Origin, so I'm hoping somewhere in that range.

Like I said the site is getting hammered from all the free copies of Arma 2 most like.

Give it a few tries and it'll work.

At this point? Any deal I guess. I think 33% would make it $20 and 50% would make it $15.

I haven't really bought that much on this summer sale so I have like $50 left for these 2 days not including money I put aside for Bloodlines so I would have no problem spending $20 on Bulletstorm.

True, but after the pirated thing, I really hope some stable income will encourage them :p
If it can get atleast one tenth of the attention minecraft has, then it'll be enough :D

Thanks. So the hope for Vampire is not completely unfounded. <3
YOU SHOULD BUY IT FOR FULL PRICE LIKE I DID TWENTY YEARS AGO IT'S BETTER THAN DEUS EX MAN YOU MAKE ME SICK

I have hope, however it might be unfounded, there's less incentive to discount a game when you're not developing the IP

The first time Last Remnant was on sale it was $10 btw, which was probably less than what it was worth. Let's see if Square Enix will match that again. They should, it's been a while since that sale, game is totally worth that now.
yeah, that $10 Last Remnant sale was in December of 2009. I had it bought within a couple of minutes after seeing the deal. Really deserves another $10 sale after all this time, I think the last one was only 33% off.

Since we're bringing up The Last Remnant:

If I have an unopened copy of the 360 version, would it be worth double dipping for the PC version, which I'll also probably never play? (is the PC version that much better?)

It's almost never worth buying something you'll never use.
