Do yourself a favour and buy it. For the love of god, BUY it. If you're not locked in in the first 10 minutes, you're unhuman!

The first 10 minutes will lock him. The 30 hours afterwards he'll be wishing he never bought it.

I played it for like 10 minutes to test the performance and I had no idea what I was doing. The game never really appealed to me before but it was on sale and I wanted to play a JRPG (beggers can't be choosers). Hopefully it doesn't suck.

this better not go on sale EVER AGAIN

only a couple bucks left for the two days left, FUCK
I think it has the Sale Avoidance level of Vampire! :O

So I bought the Quake collection. Haven't played the first one since I was a kid, and I never actually beat it. For shame. Anyway, I downloaded it, installed a mod pack that cleans up textures and lighting, fired the game up.

Holy fucking shit. Everything else I'm currently in the middle of is getting shelved.

yeah, lack of a JRPG on my Steam list (well besides Reccetear) was my main draw.

I have a habit of owning every genre or something

Oh, is there a good place to go for Steam skins? I'd prefer something classy that I can have the big button list on my second monitor.

check the first pages on the now locked Steam thread. I posted something there

nvm i'll send you the url through steam chat

Just bought The Last Remant for today.

Still undecided on Fallout 3 GOTY but thanks to all who responded to me earlier. Even harder to buy it after seeing the 15 minute video of Bioshock infinite ><

Decided to just go ahead and get Amnesia, but had it crash right at start up. Took almost two hours after that but I finally have working drivers for my card and the game runs, just in time for the sun to have gone down. Should be fun times.

Is there any reason the Total War games bundle (Napoleon and Empire) for $10 isn't a good deal? I enjoy strategy games and used to love Age of Empires to death. Would this be a good enough reason to bail in?

Games that resize my Steam window drive me crazy. Like every other game i've purchased during this sale do that.

GODDAMMIT TITAN'S QUEST GOLD, GO ON SALE TOMORROW OR I'LL FUCKING GO INSANE

Oh well, at least I got the Deus Ex games finally, and with my new found obsession with the X series, I'll be super busy for a super fucking long time.

Maybe I'm being a tad subtle.

I'm saying it's shit.

I thought you were maybe saying he'd regret it because he'd be sucked in for the next 30 hours. I do completely disagree with you, but your opinion counts.

Anyone able to claim the AI War ticket prize? Keeps giving me an error, has been for 2 days..

If you bought the bundle you already have it, it was included. If you didn't then I've got no idea.

Having just a laptop during this sale has really helped me keep costs down as I didn't go for any of the bigger cost games because I probably couldn't even run them.

That being said, I may drop 10 bucks on the Gratuitous Space Battles Pack on the last day, because I really want it for some reason.

TQ has gone on sale so many times it's a wonder the whole world doesn't own it by now.

GSB is good times, well worth it.

Do I need to download both Empire and Napoleon Total War or does one make the other obsolete?

I got the dual GotY pack.

Napoleon is basically a fixed version of Empire, so you don't really need both. They have different campaign content however.

Not that anybody probably needed to be told ... but Universe Sandbox is a buggy piece of shit. It crashes constantly and is slow as hell ... if I get to play it.

AVOID.

If anyone wants to boost the ticket in Galcon Fusion add me on Steam. ID is Dosuchin.
You can self-boost if you're not having any luck finding someone. Load up multiplayer>billiards as usual, then choose the '<<search>> Local' option at the top of the game list. Add a bot with the bot slider on the game creation screen and have at it. The bots are easy to beat.

I was pretty much ready to buy it, but if it's still a bit of a mess.. hrm. Perhaps today is the day to ask why

Is Napoleon still mostly colonial times, with nations such as the Ottoman Empire and stuff?

I did that and wasn't having a easy time, lol. I mean, I won against it but I figured it'd go much quicker with someone just sitting there.

LOL this is what I'm worried about. I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Bioware. I enjoy Dragon Age for the most part, despite its boring dialog, but I can't say I've enjoyed anything else that they've made. Their style of RPG just may not be for me.

Oo thanks for the tip! I'll do this.
LastWindow said:
Yeah. It's not hard but it'll take time. More time than I want to put into it right now.
Haha pretty much this. Plus I sort of like to spam things in Galcon for the most part and not actually think but some of the people playing on the multiplayer boards are crushing me.

I don't have a horrible rig. I updated my drivers and have nothing running in the background.

HD 6870 1Gb
8 Gb DDR2
E8400 (3.0 C2D)

I mean, not the fastest machine but I'd hope it would run this thing because the videos made it look really interesting.

I usually don't have problem with optimizing things but maybe it's just me. It's only $5 and maybe you'll have better luck but if you really asked if I would recommend it to a friend? No I wouldn't.

This sale has been great, but I'm a little disappointed that there haven't been any special indie bundles. I guess those will hit during the winter sale, which is going to be crazy considering all the hotly anticipated titles coming out in fall and winter.

my body is ready

Man I'm really considering Fallout 3 GOTY. I already played it on consoles but I never beat it, I got to the part where
you meet the radio guy (main story)
and did some of the dlc and some side quests but I'm not sure if I should get it. And I have NV which I've never played.

Someone should sell me on Divinity 2. Is it better or worse than Two Worlds 2, for example? How are the RPG aspects...I don't really care about the story if the stat building is solid enough.

Its Metacritic score is off the fucking chart for a non-Bethesda/Bioware WRPG...

So I have a question about Titan Quest.

Is there any sort of Gamepad/Controller mods or support for it? I have played point and click games all of my life, but Torchlight 360 really spoiled me.

Go for it, it's one of those games where the mod community steps up and makes the game so much better in so many ways.

and what's the take between Fallout: New Vegas VS Fallout3?

From what I've seen around here, almost evenly divided. If you want a better story, go with New Vegas. If you want a world that feels more conducive to exploration, go with Fallout 3.

Personally I liked New Vegas more.
