Played Just Cause 2 for almost 4 hours straight. Lots of fun. Most of it was just hopping around the Island.

I wonder if the awesome factor of all the explosions will wear out though. Oh well, I hope not.

Wow, I blame Mafia II for making me play GTA4 wrong. I can't really keep a car (if I drive it away to get to another car, I have no car, means I have to steal another one), and noone gives a crap about traffic rules even when I want to. Whereas in Mafia II it was pretty much the opposite.

The horrrrror.

So what are the clues for the second to the last daily deal (assuming the last day is just the "best of the sales")?

For once, I'm actually playing *some* of the games I'm buying. Currently rolling through Darksiders... and holy shit that game is good.

I used to have an irrational hate for this game (I think I hated the PS3 demo or something), but I gotta say, going through the first dungeon was more fun than Zelda dungeons. Wonderful mixture of God of War (without the QTEs) and Zelda.

I can't believe I only paid $5 for it.

Someone should sell me on Divinity 2. Is it better or worse than Two Worlds 2, for example? How are the RPG aspects...I don't really care about the story if the stat building is solid enough.

Its Metacritic score is off the fucking chart for a non-Bethesda/Bioware WRPG...

Honestly it's quite good. Lots of different ways to play and the loot is diablo-esque, having different colored tiers, etc. I enjoy it.

Purchased about 22 games on Steam during this sale and thats not counting the bundles like Half Life where you get 6 games in one. I think i'm good for the next year.

I've had the same experience. The voice acting and story are a bit ridiculous but the game itself is great, I love the combat and that first dungeon was really quite good. Just about to start the second dungeon.

What I love about these cheap games though is that I don't even really need to beat them to get my money's worth, I'll probably finish Darksiders since I like it so much but I'm pretty sure that I've got more than 5 dollars out of it

Oh man. Diablo loot? I may have to get it. I was hoping it would go %75 off but I guess $20 good enough. :( my monies...

Is company of heroes tales of valor supposed to run like a turd on amd cards?

Did the ingame benchmark thingy with all settings maxed, it said minimum 39 fps, average 55, max 69, so I start playing.

Black screen after the first cutscene..; stuck on that.
K try again after alt f4 ing out, the game runs horribly bad.

HUGE framedrops, like 2-3 seconds freezing when I left click the map or scroll around it, random framedrops during battles.

It doesn't even look any good, what the hell is this.

From what I've seen around here, almost evenly divided. If you want a better story, go with New Vegas. If you want a world that feels more conducive to exploration, go with Fallout 3.

Personally I liked New Vegas more.
Yeah, good summary, I liked FO3 more, but NV does have a better (still not brilliant though) story.

Thought Emoji Movie was good. Take that as you will.
Alright, I bit on Divinity (was hoping for under $15) and Last Remnant.

Don't fail me now Gaf on the LR rec.. you promised goodness!!

Gonna beat Witcher 2 first, then Divinity, then LR.. then get into M&B.. I'm set for awhile!

And then they hit you again with the Christmas sale. Every six months you buy a years worth of games, so just accept that you'll never get to them all.

Uninspired? What the fuck do you play where the Last Remnant is anything other than unique?
That's what I was thinking. 'Uninspired' just seems like a stock critique word for many without them actually knowing what it means.

Does anyone have any idea how the DLC for Mafia 2 is? I played the vanilla game and I'm double dipping because I loved it, except the stupid-ass ending. How's the DLC?

Damn, I need to avoid this thread until the new dailies are up. You guys keep bringing The Last Remmant up, and that makes me regret passing on it. D=

In the interest of fairness, the Last Remnant demo is awful and not a good representation of the actual game. They basically dump you off in the middle of nowhere with no tutorial. =P

Also, I can't help but wonder if Steam/Comcast is throttling my downloads. I am no longer getting the 800kB/sec I was at the start of the sales.

My Lead and Gold refuses to even boot. Tried uninstalling, defragging, verifying integrity, restarting Steam, etc. Nothing.

Since this is the only Steam thread open now, I thought I'd post this here. I just got a Forgot Password email sent to me, twice, but did not request it. I'm worried someone is trying to hack my account. Is there anything I can do?

Well, there's not much they can do about it, since they can't get the confirm email (you're getting it).

I would suggest changing your password just in case and maybe inform Steam support if it becomes a bigger issue.

Environments (minus the pretty sky thing) were dull, battles were simplistic, writing was generally poor (damn you Alexander O. Smith), character designs were unmemorable, UI was a mess (I had no fucking idea what was going on), no world map. Could NOT get into it.
