What are the chances of Bad Company 2 appearing on the sales? Just built a new PC and want it for a good price.

It already did...it may show up on the last day if it was the best seller of that day.

Should I get ME because im thinking about getting ME 2, any of the splinter cells worth it?

Yes...they are part of a trilogy so playing the first ME is necessary if you want to know whats going on in the second.

..for new page and glory! ;-)

I can only say that Conviction is worth it. Typical action story, quite casual gameplay but taking out out 5 people in 2 seconds with Marking is really fun. Its nothing like the originals though.

Splinter Cell 1 and Chaos Theory are great. Double Agent was ok but not as good and I think the PC version is a port of the not-so-good 360 version instead of the better xbox 1.

Conviction is just hot garbage if you're a splinter cell fan. It's an absolute disgrace to the franchise and what it stood for.

As someone who thinks the other SCs were fairly bad, that sounds exciting.

Been playing around with the Universe Sandbox. It is awesome, especially for geeks like me.

I've been very tempted to pick it up. I'm screwed now though since I'm at work and wouldn't be able to buy it. Is it more of a screwing around tool or are there objectives?

I forgot to say if you're not a fan then what you get is a mediocre casual action shooter that holds your hand the entire time and gives you 2-3 instant kills for 1 easy stealth takedown.

Mainly just screwing around, but it is pretty comprehensive, easy to use, and has built in scenarios to mess with.

Has already been up on sale, they might have it up again on the last day what they normally do.

That doesn't sound so hot.

The 'instant kills' seemed like a good idea to me at the time, if you're some stealth bad ass, you shouldn't be fumbling to shoot a guy, you would be able to do that kind of thing, but then earning them by stealth kills sounds stupid, as does the last known position thing.

I'll try it at some point, I didn't bite yesterday, but in a future sale maybe.

If you find the stealth kills so objectionable, you don't have to use them. You just don't mark guys and hit the execute button. You can keep playing normal.

Is there a reason why Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow doesn't exist for me on Steam?

The port was so bad that steam never put it on the store. I heard about newer gpus having trouble with the lighting in the game but I don't know if there's other problems.

So the consensus is that the Last Remnant isn't that interesting story or character-wise, but has a great battle system?
Yes, that's absolutely correct. The story and characters are truly awful, but I still spent like 80 hours playing it because of the battle system.

I imagine Ubi might do PC releases of the 'HD versions' coming to PS360, they'll probably be more PC friendly.
They didn't for the Price of Persia Trilogy, why would it be any different with SC?

Almost missed the Empire/Napoleon sale. At first glance I only thought you only got Napoleon. I'm glad I checked again today that it includes GOTY versions of both games.

Only regrets so far is missing Football Manager and Civ V. I think i'll just wait for the next version of FM even if it goes on sale again. I really just want another day for Civ V but at this point I've already purchased enough to hold me over until it drops further.

Because SC is way more popular and they're still heavily invested in the series, where as PoP seems to have been replaced by AC at this point. And PoP Trilogy is PS3 exclusive, there will be a 360 build of SC Trilogy making PC porting easier.

Maybe because Pandora Tomorrow is broken on PC and they might fix it whilst doing the HD updates.

Conviction keeps randomly crashing on me. I tried the workaround of renaming the systemdetection.dll to actually get it to start, but I'm starting to wonder if that's what's causing it to break.

Also Hydrophobia is awful so far and I'm not even sure it was worth the $4 I spent.

So the splinter cell pack worth it?

I think generally you're better off with just Chaos Theory and Conviction. Chaos Theory for the great stealth gameplay and Conviction for the awesome co-op mode.

Wait, what? What are you expecting of the SC HD re-release? They are just porting the PC versions and slapping on 3D and trophies. I'm not sure why they would port the PC versions to consoles and back again.

If anything they just need a patch.

Denops is also really fun solo and makes the DLC worth getting if you enjoy that sort of thing.

So is the deluxe version of conviction worth it?

If the PC version of PT is a mess, they clearly aren't just going to port it to the consoles, it'll need some amount of reworking, in which case that work should allow for PC builds to be considerably improved, if that's the case they could bring those improvements back to Steam.

Best combat system in a JRPG this gen IMO. Its a pure grinding game though.

The battle system is good, but grinding is the last thing you want to do if you want to be successful.

I'm basing this on the 360 version, though, so I'm not sure if they changed anything for the PC version in terms of how grinding and stuff works.

Makes no damn sense.

Maybe because Ubisoft never released an update to fix the graphical issues when played with updated GPU drivers. I got Pandora Tomorrow here and shadows are missing with a 7600GS GPU. It really sucks.

Well, got meself some Worms Action, the DLC packs might have been interesting if they were discounted like the rest of the pack (-75%) as opposed to a squib '-15%'.

yeah, other then shadows and some aliasing in one of the vision modes, the game plays fine. Seems like all they need is a patch. The game isn't very good, though.

Considering the worms 4 pack. I would be a lot more tempted if it was a complete version though. Guess I have an hour and a half to make a choice.
