Stellar Blade - PC Demo out now

This game is going to be like a mini Black Myth Wukong for Korea. I wouldn't be surprised if it sells 2-3mil copies alone in Korea, which consists of like 90% PC players

The game is so much more than just the costumes... these are fun side quests rewards but the game itself is amazing regardless of that.

Pc gamers:
-Mods "all costumes unlockable" + nude outfits day1
Then no incentive to do side quests, no seriousness in main quest because you are running around naked
"men this game is overrated"

Been keeping an eye on the Steam global sellers list and its consistently around Clair Obscur so its definitely doing better outside the US as far as preorders go.

Still got a couple hours at work so im hoping some folks post their own results in the meantime.

Bro, stop getting mad at scenarios you fabricate in your mind, it's not healthy.

Seems like they've fixed their region-lock issues and the demo is available worldwide.

A very beautiful game with excellent combat on Ps5. Best action game of 2024. Enjoy. I will play it again once I get the DLC for ps5. June will be about Death stranding 2 and Stellar blade DLC for me. Great month.

Runs smooth and looks good. (+Good ultrawide support)

I wasn't interested but now it's a day one.

Tried it for a bit and it runs rather well. Only a couple of small stutters.
Graphics look good for an UE4 game. FSR4 works great with Optiscaler.

Excited to try the demo. I've always been skeptical on this game since most the dialogue around this game kept devolving to "attractive female", so hard to discern how good the game itself was. Downloading now.

Runs really well on PC. It's easy to play at ridiculous frame rates if you have a beefy system (thanks UE4!). Looks better than the PS5 version as well, in terms of image quality, with DLSS4.

I didn't notice any stutters at all throughout the opening with all the effects and explosions going off.

Glad to read that my 4070 Super bros are having a good time!

Anything 4070 and up with a good CPU will tear through this at speeds way beyond a PS5. (as it should be, but you never know with PC ports)

tried the demo on the Steam Deck, just to see how it fares.

it has a Steam Deck preset, which basically turns anything to the lowest setting.

if you wanna play at 45fps set everything to low, use FSR Balanced mode, set the FPS to unlocked in-game, lock the framerate to 45fps in the Deck's sidebar.

the Deck's system wide FPS cap introducers more latency than the engine's FPS lock, but at 45fps it's still not bad (I'd never use it for 30fps locks tho as that often makes games feel awful). the game's own FPS lock is broken... it's UE so that's to be expected, just one of the many things that is bad about UE.
you basically have the choice here between locking to 45fps in-game, which gives you uneven framepacing, or to lock it through the sidebar, which is perfectly paced but has slightly more input lag.

no real stutters from what I've played outside of occasional 1 offs (probably streaming stutters). relatively stable 45fps, which is perfect for the Deck OLED's 90hz screen.

Demo is smooth af for me, max settings, 4070 with 9700x3d. Shame I don't like the gameplay, Eve feels too sluggish and a bit weightless. Still on the fence about buying this.

All the tutorials / button prompts are broken for me, using a xbox series controller.
Everytime there's a tutorial, it says "non specified" instead of telling me which button to press. I tried with and without steam input, but it's the same.

This was my issue with the PS5 demo, I thought it felt awful. Was hoping for a PC mod that might make it feel better.
