Stellar Blade Reportedly in development for Nintendo Switch 2

This is according to an article from a Korean website called PlayForum.net. Shift Up reportedly has Switch 2 dev kits, but they have said that nothing has been confirmed for a Switch 2 port. They may just be considering a Switch 2 port of Stellar Blade instead of actively developing it.

The CEO gifted all of his employees a Switch 2 because of Stellar Blades success on PC and console. I think that's a pretty subtle (or maybe blatant) hint at where this game is headed next.

1st thing I thought of. He did the same thing for his employees with PS5s.

IMO there's no correlation between the presents and the alleged port. I mean, they already gifted a PS5 and a Pro, there are no more PS5s to give away. Switch is the next logical option.

Their next project though, that will release on Switch 2 100%.

This game requires 60fps to feel good so unless they can perform technical wizardry with the switch 2 cpu and ram to get this thing running at a locked 60fps, then it'll be a terrible experience on switch 2 truthfully.

You can always dial down the assets. Did you see the initial version of Ark on OG Switch?

Good news for the nintendo people. Game seemed to run nice on the Deck already so it should be smooth sailing on the S2.

Is the game any good ?
Yes, it's fun. Linear levels with some exploration, combat that feels like a mix of character action game with Sekiro without feeling as good as the later, good music and sexy characters.

Oh I'm pretty sure the people who played that version (it was made better later on with patches, still quite lacking though) were not enjoying themselves that much. Just that, a port can be done.

It's super well optimized on PC and runs very well on lower end hardware like Steam Deck. A good Switch 2 port without too many sacrifices shouldn't be a problem for the devs.

No surprises there.

Not a coincidence that the CEO gave Switch 2's to all his employees, just he did with the PS5's given away after the State of Play confirmation that it was coming to PS5.

Ya i hears the PC port was phenomenal which is rare nowadays sadly. I do think they're great devs who will optimize the crap out of this game for Switch 2 and that it'll end up running great if it comes to it.

DLSS kicks ass. And i do think they can probably get this game running at 60fps locked with visual and resolution cutbacks and then just use DLSS like you said to cover up alot of the visual flaws.
Exactly. Stellar Blade isn't exactly a CPU intensive game so as long as the CPU can cover it (with appropriate optimizations) DLSS Can do most of the heavy lifting.

Here's an update on this. Shift up confirmed that this was a mistake and that stellar blade isn't confirmed for the switch 2.

You just summed up everything wrong with the modern gaming industry and developers

That would explain the Switch 2 rewards to employees.
I say this pretty great if true.

I figured it would be too naughty for Nintendo. I'm not a Nintendo guy, though, so I don't really know.

I'm liking it. It isn't anything ground-breaking, but it is a good-enough action game. Some of the level design feels a little confusing in the open areas, and the story isn't anything to write home about, but the combat is fun, exploration is interesting, and the graphics are sharp. I'm on PS5 Pro.
