Zack Snyder has taken to Vero to share some new footage from his upcoming director's cut of Justice League, and it teases an alternate take on the Battle of Themyscira.

We saw Steppenwolf make his way to Wonder Woman's homeland to retrieve one of the Mother Boxes in the theatrical cut, but it looks like this version of the sequence will play out a little differently - and quite a bit more brutally - as the redesigned villain lays waste to a legion of Amazons while being peppered with arrows.

I'm not much of a DCCU guy, but I'm interested in checking this out.
The R-rating, the extended cuts, could be an improvement to the storytelling or could end up being a wonderful mess. Either way, I'm in.

The scene looks a little rough but that's just the DC visuals jank. But I think the tone shift is spot on. This shows Generic Wolf man as someone that would actually be formidable against the entire justice league.

Remember how absolutely clownish this was in the original release, it was a fucking Benny Hill chase where they try to escape with the MacGuffin box.

I agree. Whedon tried to Marvel-it-up, but you can’t just toss up some filters and drop in jokes. It didn’t mix well with the tone the movie was going for.

The studio screwed up by giving Snyder a third movie to finish his "vision" after the trashfire that were MoS and BvS. I know his kid died but I don't think it was the only reason why Whedon of all people got involved and the two movies got cut into a single 2-hour outing.
Snyder wishes he could write a single line of dialogue better than Whedon and it shows. This thing is going to be hilarious in all the right ways, mark my words.

Doubtful; this is from the "Justice is Gray" edition. That would be quite odd to create anything for that version based on old graphics.

It’s not the best superman film. But it’s a good film. Yeah I said it.
