Why not just custom CSS to make it easier to read spoilers?
You can make them reveal on mouse-over or automatically. Can easily been done with Stylish or Greasemonkey.

Someimes people on the gaming side suck at spoilers, not because they don't hide them well but because they don't necessarily label what the spoilers may regard so sometimes having a discussion in the game's OT or something is a pain.
