Necalli got me holding Ls for 50 matches. Just swapped to Ryu and I'm 7/9. I know I'm not great but Necalli's normals are garbage. Anyone have any tips for getting in and wha to do outside a corner?

Forward dash is really good. Necalli isn't a footsie character, he alternates between heavy rushdown and being extremely reactive outside of footsie range. He can punish any single hit fireball from near full screen with his rush or dp any jump with his insane HP uppercut to get in position. Or you could just dash in and command grab. Necalli is never going to reliably compete with Chun or Birdie or whoever by playing footsies all day, so don't try. Whiff punish if they get predictable, but try to set the pace more often than not.

Has anyone played their steam version of the game from multiple locations? (not at the same time) I'm not sure if it's tracking the points I earned properly.

For example, say I finish Ryu's story for the first time on machine one and net me X points. Later I play the game on the second machine, it thinks Ryu's story mode isn't complete. But if I play through his story mode on the second machine, I don't earn any points and I'm not entirely sure all the points from machine 1 showed up on machine 2 either.

Saves are local so say if you did X characters story or survial on one machine progress wouldn't carry to the next. Though Fight Money and LP are CFN bound so that should carry over. What I did was symlink my saves to my dropbox account but you can copy them from one machine to another to make sure you've taking progress with you. The location is ..\User\<your username here>\AppData\Local\StreetFighterV\Saved\SaveGames\ and there should be 2 files, GameProgressSave.sav and GameSystemSave.sav, which pretty self explanatory. Hopefully someone at Capcom decides to enable Steam Cloudsaves so they copy from machine to machine as I can't see any reason why not.

Really loving the gameplay in the match, especially the new footsie game that lacks SF4's get out of jail free FADCs, but man, I fucking suck at getting opportunities to use Mika's command throws. I'd love some advice on how to do that, because the speed of most characters and the half-circle back motion means I just go for regular throws instead when my opponent is blocking.

I did steal a corner setup I saw in a replay off of an irish whip:

f.mp > mp (wall bounce) > f.hp > cr.mp (reset) > command throw

Catches a lot of people off guard, but I don't know any similar setups in the middle of the screen.

Midscreen I like to do:
st.MP , f.MP, MP, dash back (forces wallbounce midscreen), then dash forward into cr.HP into command throw

If you want guaranteed damage, you can just do QCF+K after they're in the wallbounce state since it counts them as airborne

cr.hp xx lk.legs > cr.lp xx lk.SBK is an easy goto for punishes.

In that case you should check out Poongko, his Cammy is great. Also try searching in CFN for high ranked Cammy players and check their replays.

I'm picking up a lot more wins with Mika, she's so fun to use. Learned her in Beta 4 and had trouble winning during that period. Spent more time in the lab since the game dropped and the wins are coming way more often this time around. My main issue with her is applying pressure. Anyone have any tips?

Went a bit more with chun last night. Unlocked color 5, the red default that I love. Survival may be a grind but I dig the almost training mode ness of it.

Wish this weekend wasn't so packed. I just want to vegout and play nonstop but only getting the luxury of maybe an hour or two a night.

Same with starting to get wins. Need to get out of my sf4 rose mindset. Though I still have 0 answer for fang. Only round I took off one was a pretty brutal rushdown on my part.

Spam fireballs when the opponent is far away and then when they jump in, shoryuken them.

I lose to that strategy often.
