How's the PC version running for people? It's cross-platform play right? MKX has me nervous about getting a fighting game on PC, but I already have a solid fightstick there and don't for PS4.

I mean, you don't get much character experience for non-SP modes either, and iirc xp required for a level up increases with each level, so that source is essentially finite as well.

If dailies don't give SERIOUS FM the model is simply fucked. Characters are virtually free already, it's the costumes you'll have to buy.

Any f2p game with a similar model gives you tangible rewards for every match played, so you have an actual choice between playing hardcore/"grinding" and spending real money. And those games obviously don't cost 60 bucks upfront. Unless they inteoduce an infinite, reasonable source of income the FM system is nothing but a huge smokescreen.

You just said that the characters are virtually free. I don't see how it's not working if you just have to spend some money purely for cosmetics, that's a great deal to me.

Seeing few Rashids in the top 100 as well as R. Mika.

Low tier confirmed :[ haha

I think it is far more likely that his lack of representation is due to his weird design and being a new character. To get into the top 100 you have to win at a very high % and when your character is completely new and not a traditional SF character you are unlikely to have easy answers to common questions and it will take sometime to figure that out. Rashid may end up being bad who knows, but right now he is just way to weird to say.

It's been running perfect for me on PC. Only complaints I have are the same as everyone is having in regards to capcoms shitty servers.

Solid performance, but how is your stick recognised? Directinput needs some fucking around with x360ce, but everything else is there.

MKX was a joke, try not to let you out you off.

I'll rekt you tomorrow m8

You're three times my street fighter mmr though. Do you need to pick on the scrubs to feel good about yourself

It's an Xbox 360 fightstick, so I would assume it'd work perfect just like my Xbox 360 and Xbox One controllers.

I'm starting to feel helpless against Necalli :(

Someone played Necali online? I'm yet to see him.

Yeah, my Tekken 360 one is fine, you're good to go. Honestly, my only other complaint is that the resolution selector means you have to cycle through them all to change it rather than pick from a list. Very happy with everything else.

Because this game is supposed to last for years to come and will in all likelihood get many more characters than SP content (basically cinematic story mode and who knows how much FM you'll get from that). This is just season 1 and we're already seeing income sources dry up.

We'll see how it works out with the dailies, either way my original point was that it's stupid you have to grind the shit out of terrible SP modes and don't get squat from PvP.

First time trying to get a ranked match and holy shit does it take ages. I need to wait 5 minutes for someone to body me? Capcom please.

I can max it at 1200p with a 670FTW/3570K@4.2GHz .Servers are still pretty sketchy though.

I got a 40002 error after beating a M.Bison and then was waiting for 5 minutes for another match and nothing. Ah well, break time.

I think the only person I haven't fought online yet is Vega, go figure.

I've yet to fight a Necalli. I love all the new characters I've used but they seem too hard to use well starting out, had to go to Ryu to pick up a few wins. I would say a lot of people try Mika or Necalli and then go back to Ryu or Ken because they're easier and more immediately gratifying.

I got a game in the end. Man I have no idea what to do against Nash.

I can't help you with that one. A Nash player that knows what they're doing fucks me up.
Same, I also get matches whilst in the dojo much quicker than doing the manual search.

I just leave it on the title screen and play Fire Emblem while I wait. Usually only get a couple of moves in now before another fight comes my way.

I don't think Ryu or Ken (especially the latter) are any easier than Necalli. It's just that newcomers tend to hide themselves behind fireballs and think they're playing better because they can do an special attack.

The struggle to silver is incredibly real. I'm not confident enough to get there yet as Mika. I'm back up to ultra bronze but I ranked down to bronze last night. Not going to happen again, lol. Rage quitters and server fails are the absolute worst.

I decided to record another rage quitter. I went into the match thinking I was going to get bodied because of his LP and win streak. I quickly realize that he's not that good and wondered if he was a quitter as well. He proved me right when he pulled the plug as I won.

This reminds me of a Ryu player I faced yesterday that had over 2400 LP and a 22 game win streak. He also wasn't that good and was jumping and doing unsafe stuff a lot. It was close but I got random'd by him. I think he might have been one as well. I will never know I guess, but this guy was who I thought he was after that 1st round.

So 40002 is the only error that can indicate a player dropping out and denying the victor his/her rewards? I've had several
Failed To Send Match Results To Server. [80001] with Failed To Retrieve Data. [40006] today. I wasn't sure if these meant the players were quitting or what. The things I know is it only happens when I win AND I am not disconnected immediately after because I can still see my online stats and immediately begin searching for a new match.

I play a lot of fighting games, many online, and I have NEVER had more people quit when they lose more than SFV. Its crazy how much these folks care about their internet ranking. They're only lying to themselves by hiding their defeats, but every time I battle someone with more than a 5 win streak I know they're a quitter. What a joke.

Yeah the failed stuff is not a ragequit, that's just shitty server problems. According to twitter it should still have the correct points, but it just takes too long to send.

Well they can't admit defeat it seems, I wonder why they are playing fighting games any way then.

Ugh I think I need some kind of street fighter bootcamp I'm just not synching with Karin at all. Going to have to check some of the rest of the roster.

Haven't seen many Birdie players online. After switching to him, I've been winning most of my matches and even went 12-1 last night (feels good).

He seems like a good character to start off with his high damage and easy combos. I skipped SFIV and jumped right into V, so I'm a bit surprised that I've been doing so well, but I'm sure that'll come to an end when I reach Super Bronze.
