Does it look like this for anyone else?

Yeah, I'll try clearing survival with someone else to test it.

So far I got 2 titles.

Everything Starts Here (after winning 1st ranked match)
The Answer Lies in Battle (think I got it in survival, but not too sure)

Both have Ryu face on them, they might be character level based or something like that.

I think you gain them by leveling up the characters.

Just leveled up Fang to 1. No title. I really wonder what it is.

Might want to try this:

- Start the game at least once.
- Go to the following folder: C:\Users\*USER*\AppData\Local\StreetFighterV\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
- Open the Engine.ini file with a text editor
- Add the following lines:
[Internationalization]
Culture=en
- Save the file and see if the game runs in English.
Thank you, I will try this later!

Well, the game actually runs pretty fine on my notebook ^_^

It's an Asus X550L i5 4210U 1,7 GHz, 6 GB, Geforce 840M.

On the lowest settings, it seems to run full speed in 1080p. The sweet spot for me though is medium with a lower resolution (1366 x 768) and post-processing and Effects set to low. This also seems to run full speed.

Is there any way to check the fps so I can confirm the game is running full speed on my machine?

V-Skills are actualy special moves. Thats neat and I didnt know that.

like Bison's grab fireball and throw it back at you is his V-Skill apparently. and FANG's poison ball with no hitbox that flies straight is his v-skill.

I know I know, probably everyone already knew that but I didnt lol, I just always assumed they were normal special moves when I saw videos

I can't believe this game has an 83 on metacritic considering the state it was launched in. What an absolute joke. Can't even do versus cpu matches. And there's shit for tutorials to get newcomers up to speed.

$60. 60 fucking dollars....fuck you capcom

I mean, you don't have to buy it.

Refund it now.

You can't combo into regular SPD anymore, no? The v-trigger spin into ex air spd is the only way I'm pretty sure. A lot of combos in the video require a raw hit on a standing opponent when up close. The one I go to is headbutt, st. short xx hold towards opponent lariat but that's only after a splash hits.

You can still crush counter into ex SPD for a fair chunk of damage. I only started messing around with Gief yesterday but I really like the changes in his move list. Finishing a combo with the air splash to reset the opponent in front of you is getting some real interesting game play so far. Probably enjoying Gief the most right now, probably the opposite of what I assumed I'd be doing on launch day personally!

You can download MSI Afterburner and check fps for on-screen display monitoring.

I mean....when you buy a game you expect it to have basic features like versus cpu, or even a competent cpu. And what a shitty excuse for an "arcade" mode.
Well basic features to me are training and a versus mode. Fighting an AI isn't essential at all. Why waste money on decent AI when you can make a functioning server.

a quick glance at the plentitude of GAF threads about the game would have told you thoe features were not present. You are not wrong (on the fact that it should be there or the fact that its shitty, or even that you dont want the game without it), but 20 seconds of your life and you would have known these things

mind you, im not defending this. AT ALL. This launch is a huge clusterfuck. Im just saying the minimum of research into something you are spending $60 on may have been adviseable (for any game no?)

So at this point, I'm thinking that being connected online at all is the main reason for the framerate dropping.

I ran through survival several times offline and never had any framerate issues.
I connect online, play survival, and the game is in slow motion.

How do you unlock titles?

Speaking of which, what happened to the "beta participant" one!?

I also love how Capcom is listing me a bunch of NO BARS (literally: NONE, don't even show the icon) battle lobbies. Fantastic, as per the norm for fighting games for me.

I should probably refund this instead of giving Capcom $60. Double so when their Fight Money can't be done offline/without having to battle people with their crap online for me.

Are you searching for matches while playing? I remember that causing some stuttering in the beta.

Nope. No searching. I remember that causing issues in the beta as well which is why I turned it off. Still frame rate issues in survival and training. Its completely fine if I'm not connected though.

Well not getting fight money offline is understandable. If it weren't server side, you could just edit a file and get a bunch. Its annoying right now since online is currently fucked.

at this point im assuming the servers are on actual fire so anything related to being online is fucking up everything else

its basically Sim City or Diablo 3 levels of launch

They skipped Alpha 4 and went directly to Alpha 5

Street Fighter
in
Alpha 5

And they can't get rid of the server integration because they want to make sure fight money is being constantly monitored so nobody can abuse it.

So I guess the game will be fine in tournaments? But they need to sort this shit out fast.

So, probably known by now, but here's a small video showing one of Laura's interesting reset possibilities: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lCNmTggRPbk

cr.MP allow to stay in front, while st.MK crosses under.

The setup is not that ambiguous (because it doesn't start from the same move), but it can catch people off-guard easily in those first few weeks. ^^
One tricky thing is that st.MK does NOT cross under in the corner, whereas visually you think it does.

The large majority of gaf threads on this game are filled to the brim with what might as well be shills claiming all future characters will be free and won't require hundreds of hours of playtime to unlock (per character after Alex)

Reading the threads, I would have just thought there was no story mode, no lobby system, and no spectator mode. I would have never thought the game would be lacking some of the most basic features that have become standard in fighting games. being able to play best out of three against a cpu IS NOT too much to ask for at the launch of the fifth entry in the biggest fighting game franchise.

The game just isn't even close to being complete. And if they wanted to release it now they should have done so at $30.

Do we even know how the "cinematic story mode" will be structured?

Its upsetting me to see my concerns before launch are proving to be pretty much on the money. When they showed SF V teaser at the PS4 launch I was ecstatic...Now as it got closer to launch I could sense something was up.

Not like this.gif Hopefully I can play some matches tonight

Glad I accounted for server fuckups and decided to start my three weeks vacation next week and not right now. Feel bad for you guys who took the day off, really. Hope they fix this mess quick.

No, it's annoying because if I play arcade mode 24/7 or offline versus, I get nothing out of it outside the first time while connected to their servers. So essentially Capcom is letting me be able to get ONE character "offline" from their future character releases, meanwhile their online won't even show me any connection info to where I have a good idea if those lobbies are worth joining in terms of connection quality.

Do we even know how the "cinematic story mode" will be structured?

Probably the same as this arcade mode with it's in-engine cutscenes and maybe 2 fights (per Nash. #kappa) to do.

Despite not wanting to main a shoto (been a ken scrub for ~24 years), I just practiced a bit with Ryu's parry and... I think I'm gonna main Ryu.

was it an oversight to not give every character this ability?

Servers seem to be running a bit better now - can actually get into a lobby and play a few games before you get dced.

And ranked matches work like half the time lol.

Gettin' there.

The parry is godlike.

Yup.

They'll probably need to nerf it at some point. I suck at parrying in 3rd strike but I just parried chun's critical art. Sure, it was in practice mode, but with more practice, if I can pull that kind of parrying off against other players on a regular basis, I may just make up for my weaknesses everywhere else.

Parrying chun's ca in V is awesome, like you I have only done it in practice too. Looking forward to doing it for real on a human in mp.

Fourwude against Graham Wolfe yesterday made the parry look prettttttttty good when he parried like 3 out of 3 scissor kicks.

Yup. Although I fear that day may never happen. I always go into a panicky "shit player" mode online. I do okay in game centres, but otherwise I'm pitiful.

Bloody hells, the IDs I wanted to use are taken.

Mine is "badatFG". Might as well set realistic expectations for myself.
