Does anyone know if the PC version will come with a benchmarking tool SF4? It might help those of us with medium grade rigs get the best bang for our buck in the presentation department.

So to trick Steam early I would need to EU VPN and change my Steam Country? Any Americans try, and any setbacks other than probably not being able to buy a game for 2 weeks (minimum time to change back)?

Am I correct in thinking that all the season pass characters are going to be available for the in-game currency? That seems to be what's being suggested here but it makes the season pass sound almost pointless.

Has there been any confirmation as to how much each of the characters will cost in relation to the in-game currency? I mean are we talking having to play two hours or ten hours to be able to buy a character?

Well, I have also only been following this casually (albeit with some mild hype), so nobody kill me if I'm wrong here. About halfway down the page, this article states that each character will be available for 100,000 in Fight Money. You can get around 200,000 by doing the story mode for each character, and the Survival modes. After that, it's up to you playing online. Each Win will get you 50 Fight Money, and a Loss will get you nothing. Going by that, you need to Win 2,000 matches to be able to buy a DLC character for Fight Money alone. ...Seems like a lot.

Somebody got almost 300k for beating both story and survival on easy mode with each character. You can beat each difficulty of survival with each character for more money, but you can't beat the same difficulty twice.

Anyone gotten their Best Buy Cammy costume code yet? I'm doing in store pickup, I'm wondering if I should ask them about it when I go to pick it up, even though it said it would be emailed.

Changing country isn't involved, just connecting to Steam while VPN is active.

I had no idea that this was out now, I was terrible at IV though so I may well avoid this one.

Thanks, I'm sure that these questions have been answered during development but I've really not been following this.

This is a much simpler game to get in to. All of the combos in this game have a much more lenient slant towards timing and execution. There hasn't been any stone wall confirmation on how much fight money a character will cost, but Capcom have said that the first character will be easily obtainable by completing the story mode with multiple characters. That being said there is a big payout for finishing those small story modes, much more so than winning a game or 2 in different modes.

You can get the fight money by playing online, offline, or completing tasks that Capcom have set up. Tasks are catered towards those that will treat the game in different ways, so everybody will have a good shot at getting many free characters in the future.

Season pass, as far as I can tell is up there for people who may want to support Capcom further, may not play often but still want the characters, or because maybe, just maybe characters will be hard to earn. We just don't quite know as of yet.

I recommend the game in comparison to SF4 tho. Its very different, and much improved imho.

No, unfortunately. It does come with option to launch the game in a low-spec mode, then go into graphic settings to use the "automatic" setting, which detects your video card and such.

It is usually sent when the transaction is completed. AKA at actual release for your timezone.

Thinking about going pc now, anyone know if I can just play in lobbys/ send invites for games on PC to PS4? How does the cross platform play work?

How can people be level 36 and stuff? Game came out 30 minutes

How do I get up? Is there like a tech or something? In that case what do I press? Coming literally from no other FG background except from Smash

Ah that's cool, so pretty much 3 characters for probably not that big of a time investment. Not bad. I'm mostly just interested in Boxer at this point anyway, as far as DLC fighters go.

really sucks, our group usually plays together. i know there's no spectating, but surely we can at least have more than two people sitting in the lobby so we can at least play each other?

I'd say eventually. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Just says "pre-load complete; unreleased" for me. Doesn't mention anything about a 6GB patch. Am I in for an unfortunate surprise? D:

Pre-load on Steam doesn't actually pre-load everything I believe. I remember GTAV made me re-download the entire game despite pre-loading.

Yeah it's weird, it was my first online match and I was lvl 36

You expect retailers respecting release date ?

Oh, I assumed they would wipe the servers at release like many other games.

As a complete noob, I posted a question a few posts above about teching the ground. Possible in Street Fighter and if so, how?

Playing story mode gives you tons of easy levels. Beating them all should get you to around level 128, I think.

Does anyone know anything about playing friend with cross play? is it just for random matches or can you actually play friends on PC while you are on PS4?

All three punches to tech in place, all three kicks to tech backwards (both when you hit the ground). You can't tech hard knockdowns, which, as far as I know, are only c.hk on crush counters and supers.

Not working for me sadly. VPN says Norway, websites say I'm Norway, and Steam says Norway when I go to change my country (I haven't done this yet because I'm wary). Still says the 6 hour American wait.

Totally off topic, but I use portrait mode for some games too but I'm having problems with screen-tearing. For some games it's really bad; Downwell is unplayable. Tried messing with v-sync in the NVIDIA control panel, no visible changes. Would you know what the problem is?
I'd ask in the steam or pc building thread, I haven't run into any comparable issues
