Anybody got good setups for crush counters using Bison's stand HK? Keep hearing it's a crucial part of his game but I haven't been able to work it into my flow yet.

So i messed around in training mode w/ Ken a little to see what i could do with Crush Counters. This is the flashiest thing i could come up with.
You can use an Ex-DP instead of a CA at the end if you have dont have enough meter.
Its gonna be hard to land this in a real match though , i'm always caught off guard when i land a crush counter.

Not even playing ranked matches no more. Rank means nothing now almost all of them pressing the eject button aka power button when they about to lose. Sticking to casual/lounges.

I have yet to have someone rage quit on me. The 2 times I had DCs earlier were at the loading into the match

Why isn't there a system in place for RQ on day 1? This is a know issue for fighting games.

Edit: They're all so fast at it too. I land the last hit and get disconnected, I'm slightly impressed they're so determined.

Do we have a spreadsheet of Gaffer usernames? I couldn't find any links. My SF ID is "ProtocolS" on PC if you want to practice with an "advanced beginner" (don't think I'm quite at intermediate level yet =D. I mainly play Necalli currently

This is the real head scratcher. It's embarrassing that Capcom has NOTHING in place when this has been a common issue for every online fighting game ever made.

How do Chun players do the Airborne Hyakuretsukyaku almost immediately after jumping?

Seriously can't do it more than one out of thirty times, and I just see it pulled off so effortlessly.

I wouldn't want a system that punishes disconnects with how shaky the servers were on day 1. They are a bit more stable now, so hopefully it gets added soon.

I hope they add some fun and dumb modes in the future down the line. Friends and I had some real fun times with dramatic battle 2 v 1 in Alpha 3.

3rd rage quitter now. In under 20 minutes. Come the fuck on. I'm done with Ranked until this is addressed. I've only got to assume that a lot of the people in the top bracket rankings, with ridiculous win streaks are rage quitters. They're the only people that seem to be doing this.

phew...Just beat an almost 4k Ryu and ruined his 9 winning streak after losing my own 9 winning streak the game just before this one. Probably a good point to call it quits for tonight.

Feel like I got some decent progress done with Mika today ( although I still suck hardcore against Necalli, Chun-Li and Karin )

If you see someone called DEAFvsGame with a 10 win streak they are a compulsive quitter lmao

I beat them really easily so there's no way they were good enough for that streak, and they disconnected right as I KO'd.

Also KappaPAWA. He slides a lot as Vega and quits to preserve his streak. Last played him like 13-14 hours ago and he had a 17 win streak. Quit when I beat him.

Are you using a stick? I think they are just doing a 360 starting with up-forward.
Yeah... think that may be it. Just tried it a bit. I'm using a kind of cheap eight-way stick (gotta force edges to do quarter circles), so I think my execution is probably affected by the stick then.

Surely the game can tell when someone has paused the game and quit manually, as opposed to being dumped from the game by the server? It can't be that difficult to do.

Because this isn't day 1, it's early access. They might have a system in place for the proper launch next month.

Tbh I can't imagine they make the change before the servers are stable. At least, I hope they wouldn't. I'd rather deal with shitty people for a month while they fix servers instead of a rushed fix that punishes their own problem.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned before and didn't feel like opening another topic on sf5 but did anyone mention the stage mystery?
The first stage announced, the china one, has 2 "stage finishers"(bus and ramen thing), the texture of the ground are very high and it has some climate changes.
All the other stages are plain in comparison, no finisher, no dramatic changed no nothing.

How could it be? Did something change during the developer line that made them rush the process and do simpler stages? Was the idea scrapped ? It's a weird thing since rarely you see games that apply a certainly gimmick only on one stage....

Cammy users

Trying to figure out some basic chains. Thus far, I have only been able to:

Lp/lk> back medium punch> High kick> drill kick or rising kick whatevrr its called

There are a few others i can use before the back medium punch but so far, that seems to be the only move that starts a chain. I can do that jump spinning move she does, downward kick off that, and then back medium punch and so on

Sorry for lack of terminology since im not a vet player in this genre

Don't know a ton with her but I know cr. mp, cr. mp spiral arrow works. So does standing mp, standing hp spiral arrow.

You can v-skill into cr. mp spiral arrow.

The China stage was the first stage they showed (probably the first one they made) so they put a lot of emphasis into making it as good looking as possible.

As for the stage finishers,my theory is that they planned to add them for all levels then realized they won't be able to finish the necessary components in time for release, let alone this pointless cosmetic stuff so they just put it on the backburner.

There's this roll move that Vega players keep abusing.

Where's the point I need to do a reversal? I keep getting counter hit if I try to do a reversal n the 2nd or 3rd roll. And it seems to have almost no recovery.

I need a rival in this game. Playing online is fine and I can win most of my matches, but I am seriously needing someone that gives feedback and can play. I am also willing to help novice players

I am Brazilian, but I can try to play with anyone anywhere. If someone's interested to play add me on PSN (Seph_luis_br) or with the fighter ID (SephLuis)

EDIT: I am maining Chun and Mika if anyone need tips on those characters. I want to learn, eventually, Karin, Rashid and Laura.
Need to learn match-ups against Necalli, Nash, Dhalsim and FANG.

Probably. The restroom on the left side of the London stage suspiciously looks like there was supposed to be a stage finisher there as well and that was one of the earlier stages they had shown as well if i remember correctly.

Uhm, On Mika I just wait for the roll to finish, then do a f.mp and get them into the wall bounce. Only safe as ex after the roll is over i believe.

The right side of forgotten waterfall has an entrance to a cave/tomb.
